The young couple (Vaishnavi and her husband Sagar Pandya) were amazing, friendly and very accommodating. On 2/7/26 my husband and I along with our two senior dogs (Bonnie and Clyde) stopped in to get some sleep in Florence. After several attempts at other hotels we tried them and were blessed with what we needed. On a cold rainy and windy night we were welcomed warmly. The room was very clean ... I did not want to post a bad review. I even spent a week trying to decide if it was worth even contacting them to express my issues with the room. I did not expect a refund I did not expect anything to be done but hoped my comments to them privately would help them improve. I don't like complaining. But the person I spoke to was defensive rather then apologetic blaming me for not telling them after I checked into room. It was 10:30 pm when I checked in. I was tired. I just wanted to go to sleep. I checked in the room did not smell well. I cannot explain the smell. It was not a dirty smell just an old smell. The bed was hard. Which he told me they just replaced the beds in the last few months. It may have been me as I am the Princess and the pea about bed. The bedding was clean, pillows were clean. Fridge had ice build up in it but not terrible. Bathroom tub was dirty and the sink had a hold in it. Rest of bathroom was clean. The cost of the room was high for the issues. Worst part is at 3 am someone was shaking my door handle. Guy on phone said I should have called front desk although the closed at 12:00 am so that would have done me no good. 10 minutes later police were sitting outside my door and were there for 3 hours after. They told me they had no control over police. Ok I get that but experience was horrible. I was not going to complain public but they don't seem to care. I booked directly from their hotel and was told a price which was high but thought I had not a lot of options as we are traveling with a dog, paid in advance and got a confirmation email saying 2 adults O children. I called back immediately and said I need to make sure you put we are traveling with a child and dog. Was told no problem I have that info. So I wrote on the confirmation email they know.. it was pd in full. When I got there I was charged $40 extra and told it's because of dog and child and if I had a problem with it call booking.com because that's who I booked through. NOT TRUE! I would seriously rate this a zero. I'm not even over exaggerating. We had to pay over $400 for two nights. It was a room that only had one bed which took up half of the room. There was mold and mildew everywhere. The floors were disgusting. Counters were awful. They charged me for my service animals, and it honestly felt like a scam. We had booked a different hotel, but that hotel canceled our stay as we were driving to check into our room. So we had to quickly find a different hotel to stay in. This just happened to be the one we found. This place was so bad. We had to pay over double to stay in what looked worse than a motel 6 room than we would have payed in our more luxury hotel room. If I could give zero or negative stars I would. Absolutely horrible. I never really believe reviews when they say it's bad I think people are just being picky. The last who runs this (the daughter) is an atrocious human being. Not just to customers but to her own father. I booked without checking first how late you can check in. I called to confirm she was rude from the get go. She asks how many people I told her 2 adults 2 kids she says I only booked 2 adults, I tell her I did it through hotels.com I'm sorry I don't know what happened she said the rate was going to go up I said no problem it went from $70 to $124. I asked why in the world is it almost double she said that's their rate no explanation ok. I told her we were coming from bend we might get there late she said 9 is plenty of time I told her we don't get off work until 6 we might be later then 9. She said no it's not her problem that should be plenty of time. We went back and forth a little bit she was horrible. I called hotel.com asked if I could cancel he said he would try he called her and comes back to me apologizing saying she was rude to him to. Can not cancel. Ok we HAUL ASS got there at 8:58 ( reading the booking it says checkin until 10) if you're going to be after 9 to just call. I tell her my name she acts like there is no reservation I start telling her I just talked to you a couple hours ago it was a whole thing, she says no there is no reservation!! She yells for her dad who comes out of the house thing attached and is SCREAMING at him in another language. So loud my husband comes in from the car. Magically she finds it but her dad gave the room away. After 15 minutes of her yelling at her dad and then telling me how much trouble I caused her by calling hotels.com she gives us a room and it was horrible. So so So dirty. The towels were stained or I washed but a sign on the door saying they will charge for stains on the towels! , stains all over all of the furniture. Walls paper thin and people are living here. Playing music until 3am! None of us showered because the towels looked gross. Microwave looked gross. Everything was just gross. read more

Definitely motel vibes, but they have attempted to make it a little cozier by updating their bedding which makes it feel nicer. The rooms are pretty clean. The pool was decent, the hot tub felt like it had way too many chemicals in it though. The pool was open weird hours (3pm - 9pm if I remember correctly) The price is pretty decent for what it is. Accommodating staff. Also to add - from looking at pictures from other reviews, the rooms have most definitely had extensive work since those pictures and the rooms do not look like past review pictures at all. read more

Paid $164 for one day, with a pet fee. There are fruit flies in the bathroom sink, there's no way the floor was mopped, had to slightly move a plug that got the tv working, and then stopped working, used bar of soap in the shower and I'm sure more than I can actually see. I take this as a lesson. Learn from my lesson... don't come here unless you desperately need to see it for yourself. read more

Don't stay here! Black mold all over the bathroom, the floors are so dirty they left our socks completely black on the bottoms. The toilet paper was already half used when we got there so I guess they don't change those. You could practically cut through the humidity in the entire hotel room. It was disgusting! Coffee still left in the pot. All of my stuff was just *wet* when we left. Duffel bag and all. Didn't stay the second night. Enjoyed my two night stay with friendly and helpful staff. Pool and hot tub were perfect for celebrating my birthday.

My family, husband and 3 children, stayed 4 nights July 2023, property is old and in need of some repairs. Pool only open 3p-10p, however, it was never opened on time. Upon checking out and having our room looked over for damages, I was charged for 2 top sheets that appeared to have "stains" on them, my children spilled popsicle on the sheets, I was charged $25 per sheet. When I got home I washed the sheets and the "stain" disappeared. The staff was rude and short with me. They were not helpful nor pleasant to deal with. We stayed at the property 2 years ago and was looking forward to staying there again, however, I will never return to this property and will also tell anyone traveling to Florence NOT to stay here. read more

We stayed here only because the Quality Inn down the street was completely full. 1st mistake. We should have just kept looking. When we walked in, the room had a smell of mold. We couldn't find it, but that's what it smelled like. Should have bailed at that point, but didn't. The table in the room was loose; you could not put anything of substance on the tabletop-that's how bad it was. In the morning, we used the toilet. When the second person used the toilet, the bowl filled to the top and overflowed. When my wife went to the office, they told her she shouldn't have flushed it twice,  and they sent her back to the room with a plunger and several towels to clean it up. We cleaned as best as we could and the level in the toilet would not go down. So we ended up leaving as soon as we could get packed. I don't know if other Economy Inns are as bad as this one, but we will never set foot in a Economy Inn again. read more

Worst experience ever. I will never go back. The front office took zero accountability for their actions. I was in my room with my partner naked and some random couple walks right in my room. The front office made a "mistake". My key wouldn't work on the door any longer and I was too embarassed to get a new one. I didn't find it very comforting knowing if i had not been there someone had access to all my things. I was mortified. You would think they would've been more careful. I had reserved that room. Cheap and clearly not run well. They did NOTHING to make things right. The front office just shut the door in my partners face when we checked out. Rude and unprofessional. If you're looking for a clean but cheap place to stay, this is it. We paid $55 for an uncomfortable bed and flat pillows. The towels were small but very clean as was the whole room and bathroom. The pool is VERY cold and despite the sign says its heated it most certainly is not. The pool room is nothing short of gross though. The jacuzzi was so full of bacterial, hair and dirt, the foam was actually black and brown. If you don't know foam in a jacuzzi is from too much skin, hair, body oil and lotions stuffing off. It was so chlorinated my husband stainless steel ring turned black and tarnished my silver bracelet. My advice? Avoid the dingy pool room. But for the money, its clean, quiet and safe. read more

The hotel is decent, not too expensive and the rooms are not too bad. The mini fridge is very small so if you're planning on being here for more than 1 night you probably shouldn't bring anything that needs to be refrigerated. The Tv has like 20 channels and a few of them are repeated of the same channel. So you're very limited on what you can watch. But overall it's been the most decent stay we have had here in Florence. The ONE bad thing that made me take the 2 stars off is that they advertised a heated swimming pool and a 104° hot tub and we tried it out and they have AC on at 54° each of the 3 times we tried it morning afternoon and evening. The pool is freezing cold and not even worth trying to get into and the hot tub is maybe 80-85° at most. It's lukewarm and honestly we regret even going down and getting ourselves wet that day. It feels like they use it as an eye catcher to get people to stay here because it's one of 2 hotels that have a pool here and the other option is x2 the price as this place. It was a very disappointing experience that we had been looking forward too because this time of year swimming is not something you can do comfortably on the coast. Hopefully they will fix this and turn OFF the AC in the pool room so that it's not so cold in there and people can enjoy it. read more

This place doesn't even deserve a one star rating. The place was so dirty inside that there was hair and dirt in between the sheets. The owner was renting the room while maintenance was going on in the room. My daughter and family complained and the owner wanted them to leave. I was told I would get a refund for this room since it was not ready for anyone to stay there. I took my daughter and her family to another place to stay for the night. When I checked out in the morning, the owner refused the refund stating that my daughter and family came back that night and stayed in our room. He said he had it on a recorded video, but he could not even produce this video and show me. I had a receipt to show him from my daughter that they had stayed in another motel, but he wouldn't even look at it. I am in the middle of trying to get my refund through my credit card company. If you have the option to go elsewhere and spend the night, do it. read more

I booked this over the phone based on pictures and reviews I saw online and it seemed fine. It was really hard to book on the phone though because there was a language barrier, which is absolutely OK. I have no problem with that so I worked through it however, I called a week later after my booking to make sure I was booked, and the gentleman on the phone had a hard time finding my booking and then eventually found it, which made me feel a little bit unsure but that's OK so I decided to continue on with my trip so two days before my trip I called to make sure my reservation was there they reassured me. My reservation was there I booked this hotel because I had a hot tub and a pool inside and it seemed like the reviews were pretty good . I was willing to give it a try with my 13 year old son. we arrived in Florence and asked for our room that we had booked. They looked at us like we were crazy and that we had not called in and we had nothing booked so the lady that was there decided to start booking me a room right away right now which I felt a little bit pissed off because I had called three weeks prior to book a room for this day and the next day Again they acted like I had not calls or talk to them at all. However, I called many times and confirmed, pretty disappointed. Anyway, what we decided to go ahead and book the room and went inside the room before we got to the room they chased us out to the car and said no no don't go to that room. I have a new key card for you for a different room and so they gave us a different room before we even reach the room. Once we reach the room we opened up the room to see peeling paint, which probably contains lead and has health issues again peeling paint With probably lead in it, we saw the TV to our left mounted to what looks like chipboard dipped in clear, laminate, pretty, freaking ugly. I couldn't believe it. We immediately went to the bathroom and check that it was covered in calcium deposits, and other mineral deposits from water like it hasn't been thoroughly cleaned deeply in a while to the two beds look like they were made with blankets and sheets from the 1970s and I was afraid what kind of bedbugs might lurk in there however, I did not see any bugs the place really gave me the creeps I could not stand in the room for more than five minutes. I immediately left the room packed my stuff up immediately didn't drop it down onto the floor at all. I was scared what might happen put the stuff in my car went to the front desk and asked for a refund. They graciously gave me a refund with no arguments , I would highly recommend not going to this hotel until they've done major renovations and clean their hotel rooms thoroughly every visit read more

Our room was unclean, clearly not mopped. One of my favorite things to do is soak in hotel tubs, they had a stand up shower that was was super old/cracked and icky. Bathroom smelled of strong urine we had to open all windows. It was no refund or we would have left. We paid through trip advisor sight unseen. I was so disappointed after checking it out I looked online for a way out of that horrible place. Nearly $200 to stay one night! I'm not a picky girl I enjoy easy 8 motels and often stay at the Shiloh in seaside. I didn't stop to think for my first trip to Florence (over 3hr drive) I'd have to worry about a seedy/ outdated hotel in the heart of Florence. It was like Portland's 82nd (no offense felony flats I love you guys) I'm so sad it totally ruined our interest in Florence although the sea lion caves were wonderful,the local people were wonderful and heceta head beach was beautiful I doubt we will be back. read more

Booked online 2 months before a family reunion. Called 4 days beforehand to make sure the room would be ADA accessible. Showed up to check in and room is upstairs. I said, no my husband is disabled. "No extra charge, room is second floor" says the lady. No, husband in wheelchair I tell her. We booked an ADA compatible room. Then she sends me to a room on first floor with 8 stairs to get in. I got our money back had to drive 50 miles and spend $70 dollars more to find a room at night on a Saturday. read more

If you are planning a trip to or through Florence, OR, I would recommend staying away from this Economy Inn. To preface, we payed $156 for a single night with no option for refunds. Once we paid and got our room key, we brought all of our stuff up to "our" room and opened the door, only to find another couple already occupying the room and getting intimate. We were in shock, as were they, since we were given a room that was already booked, and realized right away we'd made a mistake choosing this spot. We felt very uncomfortable and lacked a feeling of privacy, but since we would not be refunded should we have decided to have left, we went back to the office to explain the situation, and at the same time, the couple we had walked in on called the office to do the same. The man in the office who'd given us the card took no personal responsibility, simply saying "There must have been some sort of mistake" and briefly apologized. This was the problem from the beginning-- a total lack of professionalism and hospitality. He gave us a new card for a vacant room and we entered that one (which thankfully was vacant this time). The room had a weird smell, the sheets had some random stains and made us itchy, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and sleeping fully clothed. We also stacked our luggage in front of our door for added security. You'd expect some minor problems with a roadside motel, but this was certainly not an inexpensive one despite the name, and you also would not expect such a lack of care or basic hotel standards from the staff and property. didn't look like the pictures i thought it was nicer. had stains on the sheets so we got new sheets which had a little less staining to it. stains on the towels and even burnt cigarette holes on the towels. they should probably just throw away all their linens and towels and start over because everything seems to be stained. don't know how well everything is cleaned the shower had a pube in it and my socks got dirty and black from the floor. also was a used toilet paper roll in the bathroom. i don't know how good the pool is i'm scared to find out based on the cleanliness here. wouldn't recommend but that's my fault i should've looked at the reviews before booking. not worth the $$$ read more

Just don't. Seriously don't. Dirty, really gross. We walked into our room, our dog sniffed around and went back to the door to leave. He stayed by the door. I'm not sure what is going on with the carpet but my dog itched like crazy all night. Pool was filthy. The bar of hand soap was so small I thought it was a mint. They do not come and do anything in your room if you stay more than 1 day. Our blanket on our bed was easily 30 years old. It had holes in it, lots of holes. So the whole experience was pretty weird at this place. I arrived in Florence around 8pm and did not have a hotel. Started calling around and this was the only place that had a room. The guy behind the counter must have know this and charged me way more than I thought was a fair price. After talking to the guy and deciding that I would rather just pay than drive to a different town, he pressed me on when I would arrive... I'm paying you, I'm going to show up whenever I please. The room was super outdated but cleanish and quiet. The hotel is under new management. The hosts were polite. Had communication issues regarding a coffee pot in the room. There is new laminate flooring. The rest of the room and the bathrooms severely need updates not just to modernize but because they are worn. The lampshades are falling apart. The mattress was larger than frame and slide. The window sills had moisture in the inside this morning and there is no locking mechanism to keep window slightly open at night for ventilation. Perhaps this is a work in progress? read more

The woman who checked us in was not trained in customer service or a welcoming people. As I drove around the side of the building I noticed that the façade was only painted halfway. There were signs talking about how there are cameras monitoring your actions And I watched people roaming in and out of the motel rooms. The room was pieced together randomly. And as I laid in bed I listened to the upstairs activities and the person next to us in the room snoring all night long thank God I had an app on my phone for white noise to drown out their horrible sleeping sounds. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and it was a nice bonus to have a mini-fridge. It was an excellent room for the price! I would highly recommend this motel. The beautiful flowers and hanging baskets added a nice homey touch. It's obvious they take pride in keeping their motel exterior AND interior really nice. It took a couple extra steps to log in to the WiFi, but it was a fast connection. Breezy the motel dog was very sweet, and there's a beautiful cat that runs around the parking lot. read more

I would not usually give a negative review for a very low budget hotel. I don't feel it's fair to be picky when you're paying next to nothing (we paid $55 for our room) You get what you pay for and we were looking for a quick stopover not a vacation rental. So shrug on room decor. HOWEVER...security is a different issue. Especially for a woman traveling alone or in my case, with her senior mother. Our TV did not work and so management sent two men to our room to fix it. They were not wearing uniforms or ID tags. I am not comfortable opening my door to two men while my 80 yo mother and I are in our jammies. Room equipment should be working so that undesired room visits are not required! EDIT - Windows had NO LOCKS!!! I had to take the shower rod down and put it in the window slot as a primitive deterrent. read more

We chose this place because the rates are reasonable and they accept our dog with a $10 fee. Not much to look at from the outside, but the room was clean, spacious, and functional. Comfortable bed, decent water pressure in the shower, nice peeps at the office. Truly a mom and pop operation that deserves a chance. Well maintained. read more

BED BUGS!!!! Stay away from this place. Went to a wedding in Florence for a family member of mine. I chose this place cause the online pictures looked decent for the price. The toilet didn't work right and the sheets looked questionable.
