    Interior road

Easy check-in with a nice English fella. This is a basic park as far as landscaping and amenities. There are no views - we looked at the trash bin, dog park and storage garages. The interior roads and sites are concrete which is nice. Most sites looked pretty level. It's a bit tight maneuvering for larger rigs. If you are on the front row near the exit, it can be especially challenging. We barely fit our 45er in the site and had to park the car elsewhere. The sites are narrow, and we hugged up against a tree pulling in. We had to position carefully to get all 4 slides out, and we were still right up against a tree on the driver's side. Sites are close with a couple of trees between. Lots of cars parked all over the place since most sites are too short to fit both the RV and car. There is some street noise from 101 but the boat/RV storage area up front blocks some of it. That does not deter from the very loud diesel trucks in the campground and surrounding neighborhood. There are many long term renters that leave early in the morning. Also lots of dogs barking even in the middle of the night. WII FI either worked pretty well or not at all. Verizon was 4g 3 bars so we used our hot spots a lot. They have cable but we didn't try it and satellite seems possible in all sites. To use the laundry you must sign up for a 2 hour slot. Many people were taking advantage and showing up early or staying past their time. It costs $2.50 for the washer and $2 for the dryer. The bathhouse has 2 showers and 2 bathroom stalls and all appeared clean. The park is convenient to Florence, and there are some nice hikes nearby.

Great friendly hosts, best showers in any RV park or hotel that I have ever stayed in.

It may be great for those who want to get away from the busy life but we wanted to be closer to town. I think the bumpy road would be too difficult with an RV! Looks like they are doing road construction so it may get better. 3 stars because it is off the road to Haceta Beach. I had no internet at the park so I checked in on the road to it.

The owners and caretakers do such an incredible job keeping this property clean and maintained. Bathrooms and showers are meticulously cleaned daily. They also have a great mini-mart on premises for forgotten items, such as ice, firewood, and a bottle of decent Pinot Gris! Our site was perfect for our 20 foot trailer and truck. Decent internet enabled us to watch movies on the one mostly rainy day of our stay. There was adequate privacy, plus nearby green space to take our dog. This park is literally a five minute walk to the beach, and a short drive to the quaint, cool, and cute Old Town Florence with lovely restaurants and shops. If you want to get some quick bites and brews within walking distance, Jerry's is just a few minutes away (and the sidewinders are totally worth it!). A big thank you to Heceta Beach RV Park! We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Water and electricity at each site is functional. However the sites are close together and those along the river are all in parking lot style except for view of river. Bonus? We were parked in the Fred Meyer parking lot when an employee came out and told us that the police would come tell us to move soon. After calling various inns and RV parks around town, we eventually just decided to try this place since we felt like we were out of options. The Camp Host Gavin met its outside around midnight and was not only very helpful but also extremely kind. He got us set up in a spot and we quickly went to sleep. The next morning, we met some of the staff and fellow campers who were equally as friendly. We even had a few people offer to help us dump our RV for the first time. It was generally a great environment and I wish we had spent more time there. There are a few RV spots right on the water that are probably the most sought after but this place is located right in town on the river. I highly recommend staying her

Heres the problem, the place is quite outdated (worn out) and the staff could maybe have a boat to rent or use. It just seems like they stopped caring at some point.

The owner meet us in bare feet, shorts, dirty and greasy hair and carrying a parrot with no tail feathers (signs said no pets). He told me to duck entering the so-called "lobby" with 5'10" door, 6'+ ceiling. Built in the 1920s, the rooms have patched holes in plywood walls and peeling guest room door, bird droppings on the windows and screens, grease covered 1950s stove, spider webs everywhere, bathroom sink hot water tap had not worked for a very long time and lights either didn't work or the metal chain pull was broken. A 1960s broken table lamp was laying in the corner on the floor and the pillows were so old they were flat and covered in plastic to "keep them clean." The room had a musty or moldy odor. The back door opened to a many years old construction area dirt bank, including a shovel from a loader, broken concrete and old used pipe. Two locked outdoor restrooms appeared to have been locked for years. Not a safe place for kids. A sign said "no maid service." Wifi was intermittent. Don't be fooled by the nice website. On the plus side it was quiet (no one there) and the view of the lake was excellent. The sheets were clean, but old. Lake access was good, but picnic tables were rotted. The owners seem to have no desire to maintain a potential gold mine location.

This is the second time we've camped here and still love the park as much as we did two years ago…read more First of all it is a campground with most sites among the trees with water and electric only. We love the forested setting, for those who prefer sunny sites there some with more sun exposure. We have a 36' MH and tow a car and easily fit into our back in site. When checking in the very friendly staff member told us about all the improvements going on, such as the refurbished sports court, the pool is up and running, the lodge near pool is refurbished (looks updated). They also updated bathrooms in a couple of sections and are in the process of updating other sections now. There is a medium sized dog park with plenty of bags and lots of room around the park to walk your pups. One of the other reasons we love this park it is close to so many great activities and Florence. We adore this little coastal town especially old town. There are tourist but it's not over run, you can set outside at one the local restaurants an people watch, have view of the bridge and water way. The town offers a fabulous selection of restaurants along is quaint street with floral baskets lining it. Some of our favorites include Nosh, Maris and Restrobar. Some of the fun adventures you can do include a dune buggy ride (company right by park), visit the miles of dunes, Sea Lion Caves, head South to Coos Bay or other beach towns. The State Park near by offers a fresh water lake you can swim in or other water sports. Watch people try sand boarding or try it yourself. Florence park will always be one our locations to stop while in the area, my only regret this time is we didn't schedule a longer stay.
