Looking at places to stay in the area and Haceta Beach RV sounded fun. Quite a bit out of Florence and narrow roads to get there. It may be great for those who want to get away from the busy life but we wanted to be closer to town. I think the bumpy road would be too difficult with an RV! Looks like they are doing road construction so it may get better. 3 stars because it is off the road to Haceta Beach. I had no internet at the park so I checked in on the road to it. read more

We just stayed at this wonderful place from April 5-9. Wanda was fabulous in taking our reservation, hooking us up with a Good Sam membership, and securing a beautiful pull-in site, which came in handy after arriving late on Friday after a very stressful work day. The owners and caretakers do such an incredible job keeping this property clean and maintained. Bathrooms and showers are meticulously cleaned daily. They also have a great mini-mart on premises for forgotten items, such as ice, firewood, and a bottle of decent Pinot Gris! Our site was perfect for our 20 foot trailer and truck. Decent internet enabled us to watch movies on the one mostly rainy day of our stay. There was adequate privacy, plus nearby green space to take our dog. This park is literally a five minute walk to the beach, and a short drive to the quaint, cool, and cute Old Town Florence with lovely restaurants and shops. If you want to get some quick bites and brews within walking distance, Jerry's is just a few minutes away (and the sidewinders are totally worth it!). A big thank you to Heceta Beach RV Park! We have stayed here over a dozen times over the years. Sites are relatively big, lots of pull-throughs, are gravel and some are not as level as others. It is way off of 101, so no highway noise. It is close enough to Haceta Beach you can hear the ocean at night. And, it is not too far to walk to beach access. The bathrooms are always clean and I have never had hot water problems when showering. Unfortunately, this stay the digital TV channels were not available (i.e. all network/ local channels). I thought it was my TV and spent quite some time troubleshooting. Those in the office had a sheet to hand out to people with "cable problems." Finally, I asked them to pull up the TV in the office. They had the same problem but could only tell me they would report it to the owners. For all I know, they canceled their digital service. As for WiFi, like at many parks, it is hot and miss. It dropped twice while typing this review. Cell coverage is terrible here, so WiFi is important to me. If cable and WiFi are no big deal to you, then this could be 5 stars. I like having them so I give 4. read more

This park is tucked away off the 101 "but" it's also got a bar across the street from it so there was the thumping base all hours of the day and night. Def appreciated it more without the thumping you could actually hear the ocean at high tide. It's a beautiful park, gravel pads, full hook ups, several pull throughs but also very wide back ins too. I had space 47 it was beautiful and wide enough to park my truck on the side of my trailer. Park staff friendly and keep it buttoned up. Bathrooms have only two showers but there was never a time when both were taken, not a lot of privacy tho which is why I shaved off a star (that and the noisy cars) as the only thing covering u from others is a small plastic shower curtain. Washer/dryers are double what other parks charge $3.00/a load and they have only two of each. I would recommend it's a great place to stay. They offer military discount. read more

We can only give 5 stars because that's all available. The staff here especially Carmen went above and beyond what you would expect. On arriving at the park on a Sunday we discovered our refrigerator was not working . Carmen gave us the contact info. for a respected repair person (Tom) who we called and found he was close by and said he would be here in 20. After doing several checks the issue was determined that the control board was the issue. I immediately went online and ordered a new one. Due to the park being full Carmen was able to accommodate our extra days by relocating us to different sites that had one day each availability. As of today we are awaiting the arrival of our new part and continuing our journey. The staff here is outstanding going up and above what you could ever expect. With a special thank you. Loved this RV Park! Everyone was so helpful, starting with Carmen who took our reservation on the phone to all the employees and the owner. The park is quiet, very clean and well kept. It's just a couple of blocks from a small beacWe did not use the restrooms/ showers but the laundry room was very clean, machines looked new and worked well. This was our 4th time staying at Heceta Beach RV Park. We have had a great experience every time. The owner and staff keep the park absolutely pristine. It is obvious they care and are trying to provide a great experience to all guests. We love the location, as it's just a few blocks from the beach. As kayakers it's also close to lakes. Hiking is abundant nearby and there are great restaurants close by. Every year when we book our reservation we stay a little longer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! read more

This was our favorite RV park on our three week coastal journey. We reserved one night and ended up staying three. The sites are peaceful, well-kept and have fire rings. The restrooms are clean with nice hot showers. The beach and a fun little pub are just a short walk away. We especially liked the staff. This park is the kind of park you dream about going to when you first get your rig. Super private sites, but an open and communal feel overall in the park. The park is meticulously maintained and all the plant life and trees make it feel lush and clean. You can hear the waves all day and night long from the park and it is only a five or ten minute walk to the beach depending on your pace. Allen, the manager of the park, is very funny, friendly and helpful. I have seen him go above and beyond to try and make sure groups coming in have a good time. All of the staff I met during my stay were awesome. The owners, Mike and Kay Lynn, have a motto: Happy Campers! They are trying to create an atmosphere of beachy campground good vibes around here and I would say it is working. We love this place and plan to come back. Florence is beautiful and the people are very nice. All different walks of life here, getting along, as it should be! Highly recommend!! read more

We stayed here for 21 days in a 31 ft. 5th wheel and truck in site 27. This park is really beautiful. When you pull in the sign says quiet and peaceful, they were not kidding. Bathrooms are very clean and even though they only have 2 showers for women and 2 for men for the whole park, I never waited once to get a shower. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The Mini Mart on site was stocked with lots of great items. Since the park is all dirt and gravel, there is a lot of dust with people driving pretty fast through the park at times, but overall it wasn't that bad. The beach is a block away and you can hear the ocean at all times. This truly is a great park to stay in and we can't wait to come back and spend more time here. read more

We have been coming here for about 3 years to work in Florence building houses and some recreation. The people that operate the park are awesome .We did a remodel job for them in the park and had a blast .Quiet ,clean and we love the spaces .They have always found a place for us even w our short notice and unpredictable schedule. Convenient to US 101, however family friendly is a grey area to the owners apparently. I wouldn't recommend taking any children under the age of 3. We were asked twice to keep our 2 year old quiet. $40 for a small unshaded lot with no power or water next door the maintenance shop? Very dissapoonted. Traveled here on the last leg of our 2 week road trip. Staff was very friendly and the spots were nicely separated with greenery. All the hook-ups were offered too include cable. The mini-mart on site was well stocked. About a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and a 15 minute drive into town. This happened to become one of my more favorite spots on the trip. Clean park & facilities, excellent customer service & staff, a short walk to a beautiful beach and a quick drive into the coastal town of Florence. We just spent two nights at this gem of a RV park. Out of the 2 1/2 weeks on the road this was the best. The amount of care that the owners have put into their operation is impressive. The bathrooms/showers were immaculate all the time. Hedges planted between each site gives you an ample amount of privacy. The little store was well stocked and even had a great selection of wines! The beautiful Heceta Beach is a five minute walk away. We will definitely be returning and becoming one of the "regulars". read more

We loved this park! The friendly staff and the help and directions they provided was great! We had a pull through site at this park which worked out well because we hit a steady rain storm. So with dirt sites we had to work around lots of mud and puddles. All I can say is GREAT Park, Very Clean bathrooms and wonderful staff! I wasn't sure how to do a zero star review. The campground was ok, nothing special mostly gravel. Very close to the beach. HOWEVER, the staff was so rude to my family. We reserved 4 sites for a week or more for some of us. The staff screwed up one of the reservations that was longer and asked them to move with our other family member because it was too complicated for them to rearrange. They told them they could be comped if they moved immediately instead of the day our other family member was checking out. When they requested to stay until they left(because they were fully set up already) the staff said they would no longer comp them. From that point on we had a target on our back. Management kept stopping by our camp smoking cigarettes next to our 4 children at camp. Interrupting us in the evening even though "our fire was fine, our visiting was fine, but supposedly they heard a clap and that was too much" we were told to let the fire die out and to go to our trailers to visit. Not more than a couple of days after myself and my family at our site left, the management picked another fight over the dog being off the leash( only to then be getting into their car for a day trip) they screamed and told them to get out of the site in 2 hours if they wanted any refund. This was the day before the 4th of July mind you and they were 12+ hours from home. To my knowledge they still haven't received a refund. Such and unfortunate experience. This is our annual family trip for long distance family to meet up and we felt harassed the whole time. We will never be returning to this camp ground again. read more

Very clean with all the amenities of a high end RV resort with a camping feel. Lots of nice trees and spacious spaces. A well stocked camp store that is open until 6. We were welcomed and they were very efficient and friendly. It is just a 2 minute drive to the beach and about a 5 minute drive to Florence. They keep this place very clean and are out constantly keeping it that way. If help is needed I have seen them out assisting folks when they need it. It is very quiet and you can hear the ocean from here and a wonderful fog horn off in the distance. Lots of friendly people here and you do not get a feeling that you joined the country club. Being able to have a campfire has been wonderful as many I have stayed at do not allow it. They even have a few spaces for tent camping, full hook ups and pull throughs. The weather here is great (bring a sweatshirt and yes even one during summer). We will be back as I travel for work and this will be our go to for the coast. read more

Stayed here three nights recently, listening to the ocean at night. Short walk to the beach (go in the morning as afternoons are pretty windy on the beach). Our RV club utilized the clubhouse which was clean and equipped with major appliances and a tv. My husband also reported the campground bathrooms as very clean and well maintained. Staff was helpful with any of our questions or needs and well organized for checkin. Gravel sites separated by shrubbery and easy to access for parking. read more

The only thing this RV Resort doesn't have is a swimming pool but why do you need a swimming pool when you got the Pacific Ocean .2 tenths of a mile from this location or you can hop in your car and go about 2 miles 3 miles to the harbor where you can watch the fishing boats eat great Seafood wonderful clam chowder all kinds of little knits shops in Old Town Florence I just can't tell you enough about this park other than its new managers new owners and it is moving on up into the exceptional category I think I gave it a 4-star the last time I was here two years ago and I give it a five-star this time thank you so much for the wonderful stay and for the management taking such good care of us and we did all appreciate the painted rocks. read more

We spent so little time here and so many issues occurred. We arrived in the early afternoon and had family just a block away on the beach. We were excited that we could coordinate it so closely. From the moment we arrived the staff in the front were quite rude and very short. There were many issues that occurred in such a short time. We registered an extra guest when we first arrived. We explained that we may have visitors. They said that's fine as long as they dont spend the night. Basically visitors hours were over at 10. We set up and walked to the beach. We arrived back at approx. 730. At this point it gets a little rough. We had a visitor about 745 who was walking into the RV park and was abruptly stopped. He was carrying board games. He explained that he was not sure of the site number and asked if they could direct him. The man became very hostile, accusatory and got into the boys face. Of course the young man was upset and scared. The park called Dad who registered us asking for money for extra security and being told no the park decided to throw us out. Understand that we had been drinking and were quietly in the RV. We had no idea about this. We then received a call from Dad saying we had to leave. I am leaving a lot out. We explained that we were not going to drive and they said they were going to have us towed... At this point it all seemed a bit surreal... I have never been treated like this ever. This occurred all before 8 o'clock. Trying not to make this to drawn out. The young man ended up calling his grandparents who in turn called us and told us we needed to get ready to leave. There was clearly no way that could happen. The grandparents called the police. They had to intervene on our behalf. What appeared to be the owner or manager was belligerent, aggressive and straight up scary. We walked to the office were the manager called my friend a negligent mother for letting her 24 year old son walk 1 block to the rv park at 730 at night. After a bit we agreed to leave at 8am with the help of Florence's finest,..... We left at 8am never to return... This is just the tip of what happened.. Obviously we will never go back read more

Just an update here. The sign at the entrance to the park says "Welcome to peace and quiet." They mean it. They had to eject some folks after their third night of loud partying and music, after giving them fair warning. We were nearby, and they were indeed loud! Actually, for partiers, it might be better to go to Port of Siuslaw campground, which has more of a "fish camp" vibe. read more

Just ending our 4th extended summer stay at HBRV Park so obviously we like it here! The park has retained its rustic feel with lots of vegetation for privacy, the fire rings, easy walking distance to the beach, but is definitely getting a trim and needed facelift from the new owners. I like a good party myself, but was happy the owner is willing to confront overly rowdy guests and enforce the quiet hours. A well stocked mini-mart or a quick drive to dining and shopping in Florence made it an easy stay. Mike and Kay Lynn made it a friendly stay. See you next summer! Cons: WiFi is adequate if you time it right, but people seem to think free wifi at an RV park means streaming videos and movies on all dozen of your devices at the same time.. No (AT&T) or limited (Verizon) cell service, but its just a 5 min drive to 101 and cell coverage anyway. read more

Words can't describe how badly I was treated by the owner of Heceta Beach RV Park! I booked two nights canceled two weeks before trip due to my daughter getting a job. My husband called and canceled they said there was a cancellation fee. So I called and spoke with manger nice guy but he told me without a doubt I was told there was a Cancellation fee I apologized and told them no one had informed me of the cancellation fee that I had even told the original person that I booked with that I would possibly be changing the dates they said no problem so when I told the manager this he told me there's nothing he can do and I said well there's got to be someone else I can speak to and he said the owner so I spoke to the owner Mike the man was very rude very defensive told me there was no way his staff could have made this mistake and if Alex his employee made this Mistake then he was gonna fire him I said sir that is not necessary I said all I'm trying to do is let you know that nobody had told me this policy he then told me we train all out staff to say this so you must be mistaken if this policy wasn't told to you then I'm firing Alex he repeated this multiple times that he was going to fire this employee for his mistake. I told the owner Mike this is not what I'm calling to do I said but due to the fact that I was treated so rude I would be writing a bad review the owner Mike again very rudely said we'll I'll be firing Alex and then hung up! I understand the world is very crazy now but treating people so harshly and holding an employees job over a customers head is Gross misconduct and he will not get far in life treating people the way that he did! read more
