Rarely does a service business in closest proximity to my home offer the service, professionalism, and care beyond the typical convenience. Economy tire does just that. Not only do they serve our immediate Watertown/Oakville/Northern Waterbury communities, their work is outstanding, their service and professionalism is unmatched, and they stand behind everything they do. I'm not sure, even in a Yelp review, if there's any way I could spin auto repair and service as "Fun". It's not. Frankly, it's nerve-wracking. But these are good people. Doing excellent work. Great place for tire repair! Brought my jeep compass to the jeep dealership twice this month for a tire that kept losing pressure but they found nothing wrong with it both times. Took the people at Economy Tire less than 30 minutes to find what was puncturing my tire, remove it & patch the hole! They were friendly & got my car in and out in less than an hour on a Saturday afternoon. Great price too & I appreciated that they didn't try to sell new tires on me. I needed a muffler on my car and I did not want to pay the kind of money the dealer wanted. They installed a new muffler a special pipe and all the other stuff making it look factory again I could not be happier with the outcome and with the price. Took my van here when i had a flat and i didnt have the socket to release the spare under the vehical. I offered paul 20 dollars to just stick a socket on the bolt and just give it a few revolutions. This dirt bag refused and made me buy a used tire for 55 dollars. I will never go there again. Id rather spend 100 dollars on a tow than to pull inside and give this clown my money. read more

They damaged all 4 of my new OEM Audi alloys, evidently from the retaining drum on the wheel balancer (it looks like a Derek Weaver balancer, based on the rubber cup Bob showed me) . They took no responsibility, and offered only denials. I've purchased tires at Economy for years from Paul (I have 4 cars), but recently got a great deal on replacement tires at Costco. But they got really bad fuel mileage. Michelin warranty covered them with a 75% discount - at Economy. I accepted only because I was hoping that a different set on 18" alloys would improve the gas mileage. So I purchased 4 new alloys (actually brand new take-offs from an A3), and Bob assisted with the warranty. (Paul was kind of rude about making me call Michelin so his guys didn't spend an hour on the phone for me. It only took minutes.) Still, Paul was crabby (and incorrect) about the diameters of the tires being different (they're identical), the TPMS system (mine is indirect), etc. Also, when they changed the tires they used one out of four that was the wrong tire. I discovered it quickly, but had to return to get it replaced with the correct tire. In any case - they're just wheels, but Economy should not have damaged them - and they should have taken responsibility. I'm left feeling bad for hating them about the whole experience - but sadly they're no better than the others, maybe worse. Do what you need to, but I'll go elsewhere. Economy /Zeller damaged all 4 of my new OEM Audi wheels - without even an apology. read more

This is my go to auto mechanic spot. Not only are the mechanics good, they'll come out and talk to you. They'll take you back to see the job. The guys up front will answer your questions over the phone and treat you like they care. They'll actually educate you and take their time to do it. They sell tires here too. They have a wide open parking lot; that's very helpful especially in the winter. The waiting area is nice, has water, coffee and a clean bathroom. If you're at home waiting, they call you with the estimate. They call you with the status updates. Their prices are more than fair. Just everything has been better since I started coming here. I think this place opened under new owners and management around 2017, I'm guessing. That's when I moved here. My whole family comes here. I highly recommend them. Nice friendly staff in great new location. Paul is the best!!! Had a bubble in my tire, had to have it replaced. They even dropped the car off for me while I was out of town for the day. Does not get any better than that. The big yellow signs in the front windows takes away from the nice newly constructed business. They should hire a sign painter with a bit more taste. Used to love this place always bought my tires there and nowhere else so like every other time I bought my 800 tires because they where just plain the best tire in snow etc like Paul had told me so after 10 k miles on them I developed a leak in my right rear tire so I brought it to them to fix because they where always the best well after 3 times there it slowed the leak but was leaking still went there to be fair the night before a snow storm to try again told me flat out can't help you today come back in morning well after 6 hrs personal time from work I can't come then so I just called at 230 for help with my leaking tire told me 4 hr wait never again will I buy a tire from someone who just can't help me out when in need and took my 25 for nothing Paul is a great guy there always willing to help guys behind the counter now could care less just in it for money and nothing else read more

Horrible business. Several years ago, I went there to get a low-profile run flat tire put on one of my 3 piece OZ rims with chrome lips. One of their workers (who couldn't speak English) couldn't get the tire put on with their machines so they took a crowbar and I watched as they slid it across the rim and scratched a quarter of the chrome off the lips. I immediately brought the issue to the owner and he said they would never do that and I brought the rim to them that way (even though all 4 rims were in perfect condition except for the scratch they made). He wouldn't even ask the worker to confirm the issue. STAY AWAY. read more

Scratched my rims somehow in the process and was told theyd review footage cause the worker said it wasnt him. Said i would receive a call. There service is awful! They lie about there times. I'd rather pay a few bucks more get my tires on in 30-40 min NOT 2-3 hours. They've done this serval times. 2 ppl in the waiting room 2 tires to put in and it's already been over an hour and a half. There website shows usual wait time 10-45 min not true! Purchased 4 tires with the promise of getting front end alignment. Which is why I needed tires in the first place. Sent my son with truck early morning like we scheduled. Come home from work to find they only checked alignment never adjusted. Went back and was told it was in spec enough to let go. Really guys you just took off 4 tires that showed camber was way out. They put it back on alignment machine after telling me what an inconvenience to them it was. This time they put it in spec. Mint drove much better. 2 days later truck is now pullin hard right. After inspecting underneath cam nuts were loose. Tightened them and went back. Was told they were tight(yeah because I tightened them). And was told what an inconvenience to them it was. But they redid the alignment, wouldn't show me the before and after specs. Because it tight. Everything was good after that. Sorry for the inconvenience. Now. 4months later I'm getting the spare done so it matches( different shop) and they never gave me the key for the factory lock on wheel. I'm the only one who works on this truck I've had it eight years and always put things back in factory locations Incase of flat. It's gone. Dealer ordered me a new one $22.00. Don't ever want to deal with a shop that feels customers are an inconvenience. Running Paul's awesome reputation into the ground. Mistakes happen.
