After we picked up car and started driving down road, the battery light came on (because our alternator needed to be replaced). Pulled over and when I looked under hood I find out they didn't even replace the battery I paid them for. When I called them to explain what happened, they got very rude and told me that it just happens and that it's not a big deal. We had someone else run a test and confirmed that the alternator was failing and needed to be replaced. Never going back here again. They charge for work that they didn't do and they don't even attempt to make things right.

He told me what he believed the issue was and began troubleshooting. While he was troubleshooting he was also educating me. He sent pictures of everything and explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. He even worked when it started to rain! He spent nearly 7 hours working to repair my problem. When he was finished my truck was fixed, CORRECTLY. Also, while working on my vehicle he discovered a hidden tracking device. Kinda scary finding out someone was tracking me. They missed a lug nut on my wheels when getting new tires, let me drive around with it, and the owner went straight into defense mode and claimed that it was missing to begin with. He wouldn't refund me for the install cost and was nasty. This place is also unprofessional, they never call you when your vehicle is done despite always asking when I'm there. Additionally, the owner that sits in the back is grumpy and sighed that he had to get up and came to the counter when I was there to pickup my car. He just looked at me and kept eating his lunch when I walked in. This place is not reliable and I wouldn't trust them. The owner has no integrity or honesty.

Broke the bolts loose from the exhaust to get to the starter. No problem they said. Yeah, there were now more problems. They either didn't put the bolts back the way it should have been, missed a few or whatever.Rattle, rattle, rattle.Potentially dangerous now. Don't work on a car if you don't know how to repair that model. But, why let making money get in the way? duh. I later took it to another shop who said I need a new starter.Problem solved. How simple is that? How simple is robbie not catching that a starter needs replacing?It's not rocket science. Simple problem but robbie wasn't smart enough to figure that out. Typical. Took it back to them. I had the starter issue and electrical issue. They charged me cash money for saying they fixed it but didn't. I take it back and good ole robbie says "no." No what? You took cash money from me to fix it and now you think your cheap glass rings that don't even sparkle on your fingers entitles you to tell customers that when they messed customers' cars up to simply go away? They almost missed the deadline to reply to the BBB which would have defaulted in their rating down. They replied that they didn't contact me, reply or refund my money because they "knew" I had filed a charge back and I would get my money back from that. Really? Are you kidding me? Did they have to hire a rocket scientist to come up with that clever reply? Let's recap: They don't fix problems they create on your car, and don't refund money customers paid to the to fix problems. Their business model is to let credit card companies process charge backs? That's how it worked out with me. Liberace would never do this. But, I now see his point and the old man was very right. Expect to get an attitude if you go in. Expect them to think that THEY gave you a great favor by simply working on your car. Guys, keep your receipts. Use a credit card. Drive the car on the highway, look under the hood the day you get it back. Document it. Take pictures before and after. They are a "likeable" company. By that I mean, when you walk in the door, they either "like" you or they don't. If they don't. You need to leave. LEAVE! Take a gander at the gaudy rings. Maybe he doesn't know how to buy diamonds? Maybe he just doesn't know? Maybe he loves spending money on gumball machines? But wearing two such rings is something that only Liberace would do and people actually liked him. To my knowledge, robbie doesn't have a piano in the office. Liberace had more hair than robbie even if it were kept in a drawer. People take notice and will go somewhere else. The tires come from a central warehouse and are ordered usually on the day you come in. It should be the same price at the next place down the road for tires. If Vineville charges more, you know why--it's the rings. The difference with any place and others is the attitude. Vineville tire, it's not still 1958.

The frustration that comes along with trying to find a tire place that also does alignments. Ideally anytime you replace tires you should also get an alignment. Sadly most places only provide the tires and balance or rotate them. This place however, is a one-stop shop. Not only do they have tires at reasonable prices, but they also perform alignments which, in my humble opinion, addresses, safety concerns as well. My wife is currently serving in the military and they honored her by giving me a discount. The gentleman that I worked with at the front desk kept me updated as to how long my weight was going to be and provided information to help me make an informed decision about the service that I actually needed. Every employee that came in and out of the door greeted me either with words or a gesture which unfortunately rare with regards to customer service nowadays. When I checked out, I was thanked for mine and my wife's service, which is also rare. This business is veteran owned and caters to the local neighborhood. That is to say that the service here is more personal and flexible than chains such as Mavis or discount tire who follow corporate policy regardless of locality. All that to say I had an excellent experience and go refer any business to this location. It is right off 247, maybe half a mile past the post office. I highly recommend for tires and any other automotive services they may perform.

We were trading my old car in and we had to wait to do so until we came in town for the Christmas holidays. She was very clear with Art about the fact we did not live here and would not be able to bring my car in until later. They claimed that they had "fixed everything on the Volvo" before she purchased. She even purchased it with a warranty. Immediately upon leaving town when we got the car during the holidays, we noticed that there was an issue with the gas tank. While dispensing gas, the pump will continuously shut off. We thought maybe it was just the gas station we were at. No. This happens at EVERY gas station we go to. If we do not trickle the gas in, it will stop every few seconds. Also on this trip back home, we went to plug in our phones and noticed that not a single outlet in the car worked. We decided to try and take it to a service department back home in Nashville when we were told these issues were NOT covered under warranty and those two issues alone would cost us $600-$800 to fix...EACH. We decided to schedule an appointment for Butler Chevrolet's service department to diagnose it and see what they would quote us to fix the problems since they sold us the car. The 4th of July weekend was the only long weekend we've had time to do so. My grandmother called Tuesday, July 2nd to schedule us a time to bring it in when we were in town. She spoke to a lady that scheduled us for 8 AM on Friday, July 5th. She told us that Brittany in the service department would be our contact when we came in for our appointment. Not a SINGLE mention to us that this dealership wouldn't have the capability to service a Volvo. My husband and I show up at 8 AM. He goes and speaks with Brittany who immediately gives him attitude. She tells him she was not our contact although we were told she was and said "An electrical issue on a Volvo on a Friday?" with attitude and acted annoyed we were even there even though the dealership had scheduled us days prior. Missy in the service department then tells my husband that while they could look at the vehicle there isn't much else that could be done for a Volvo at their dealership. Why would they even schedule us in the first place and have us come in for literally nothing? I would've rather been told ahead of time they wouldn't even be able to help. On top of all of this, we just had to replace every single tire on the car because the car had been sold to us with tires so worn that even 7 months in it was pointless for them to even be rotated. That was almost $1,000. I struggle to believe that these are issues they simply missed. So for Art to have proudly sold this car to her "all fixed up" is ridiculous. We were also told we would be given a list of all the fixes they did prior to sale which we never received. We are about to be over $2,000 in fixes alone to this car and we have barely even had it for 7 months. That coupled with the attitudes we have received is just poor, poor business. We will never be buying from a Butler dealership again.

I called a friend who lives in Macon, told him where we were and he directed us to Larry's shop. We made it there a few minutes later and Larry and Gail were ready for us. They quickly got us in and diagnosed the issue as a bad alternator. Two hours later and with a very fair price paid, we were back on the road! Please note this was on a busy Friday afternoon, and Larry recognized how stressful the situation was for all of us, so he went above and beyond to take care of us, when he easily could have pushed us down the line, making us get a rental car and costing hundreds of dollars more. If you're in the Macon area, I highly recommend Larry and his crew; top notch service is hard to find these days.
