Do not let this location scam you! Go somewhere else instead! I called this location on Tuesday 5/27 and asked about getting two tires for a truck. My front passenger tire would go flat within a week of being filled with air. I was quoted $419. I agreed and told them I would stop on Thursday (5/29). When I arrived on Thursday, first asking if the tire could be repaired, the assistant manager walked up to my truck, bent down in front of the tire, ran his hand around the rim and told me that it could not be repaired and by looking at it, he could see that the tire wall has separated. Furthermore, that the lug nuts needed to be replaced. He then stated that the lug nuts are sold in a full set (25 total) and the cost to replace the tire and lug nuts would be $412. He never even looked up tires or gave me an option on which type of tire I would want. I told him that when I called and was quoted $419 for two tires but now I'm being quoted for $412 for one tire and lug nuts, so just replace one tire and leave the lug nuts because that should cost approximately $200. He then stated that his team would not be able to get the tire off and back on safely unless I purchased lug nuts so I left. I then took my truck to Economy Tires located at 696 Third St, Macon GA 31201. They took off my tire without any problem found a piece of FOD (foreign object and debris) in the tire. Removed the object and patched it up for $19. Now the tire is holding appropriate air pressure. TLDR: This location lied about the problem and tried to scam me out of $400. read more

We took our Truck there to get body work done. What was quoted as 5 days ended up taking 1 month. We called daily, weekly and after a month the truck was returned looking HORRIBLE. The paint don't match, the hood is not on correctly, it's pieces missing and I don't see a month with of work........ 110% DON'T RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!! read more

I went ahead and replaced my front tires at first the guy was telling me like $350 for the back for the front tires and I was like and they came back and told me for $270 but I needed them bad anyway so I said about another six weeks I wanna change my baptized but being that he should've gave me a choice instead of just trying to rip me off at 3:50 I went for the 270 now I know if I'm gonna go back to them or go back to the tire shop on University well you're the guy that said that I had a nail in my back tire and come to find out. I have nothing there because I had a tire shop near me and they checked it out was nothing there but I had to put out $10 from the check it out it says nothing. I don't know why I would say that and I told the general manager about the next day about it I don't know if he say anything to the guy what but but he seems like that Guy is always in his office. Fixed the brakes, and come to find out the car had been wrecked, and started giving me problems less than a week. The cold weather has thrown off my tire pressure so I went to get my air topped off. They offer a free air pressure check however after pulling up and sitting at the air check sign for almost 10 minutes. No one came over or acknowledged me, although several gentleman looked my way. One even walked past my car into the Bay Area. Today was my first time at Discount Tires. They were recommended by a friend. I went on line and created an account with them which was fairly easy. When I arrived ten minutes early to my 10:45am appointment to my surprise I was greeted at my car by Brandon. I was very impressed. We confirmed what tires needed to be replaced. Then I was directed to have a sit in the lobby. I was also told that my car should be ready by 11:45, but to my surprise, I was getting back in my at 11:20. Overall everything was great, from making an appointment in line to the customer service. I was highly impressed. Thank you! Not to end on a bad note, but I do have one complaint. When I arrived home and got out of the car, closed my door. Then proceeded to lock my car with my key fob and to my surprise, my key fob is damaged. I can only imagine what happened to it. But when my key fob was last in my possession it wasn't scratched up and the lock button wasn't broken and sinking into the key fob. I have a hole in my key fob now. What happened? read more

My family and I had an amazing experience with this location on Tuesday July 13th. We were traveling from Atlanta to Orlando for vacation and had the unfortunate situation of a slow leak in the rear passenger tire. I was really on a tight schedule and the guys were totally understanding. I was able to get in 30 minutes ahead of the appointment I set enroute to the location. The guys working on the Vehicle, Joshua, Cooper and another young man worked quickly to get me back on the road. I purchased a set of 4 Michelin Tires and I was in and out in 35 minutes. I swear every time I come into this place due to a leak, the nail in the tire always seems to coincidentally be in the sidewall of the tire. It happened when I brought my sister in law's vehicle, my son's vehicle, my wife's vehicle and now mine twice. If it was just me, I might be inclined to believe it's where I'm driving, but when it's the same for four people who operate their own vehicles, it becomes suspect. Jake got us in and out in 45 minutes and not only did we get a new tire but got 4 new tires at a great price. We did not delay our trip at all. I went here last week. I have a 2019 car and only had a flat due to a nail. I had never gone here before, so I just knew I was going to have to purchase a new tire. Moses told me that the flat tire seemed good actually and that if they can repair it, no charge for that. I was surprised. True enough, they were able to repair the tire that had a nail in it AND it was free of charge. They were very busy and the pandemic is still occurring, but they did their best to get us in and out as fast as possible. read more

Went into this store today and I was ignored while standing there to be waited on. The phone rang and the front desk person answered the phone instead of helping me. I will not recommend this business to anyone due to poor customer service. I went to Raffield Tire off of Riverside Dr and spent $487 on a Michelin tire and got excellent service in less than an hour. If you want good service than don't come here. All I listened to person say is that we are booked for today and turning down customers. Well it was your lose and I would not recommend your business to anyone. We got a flat on the way to Atlanta from Savannah. I looked up the discount tire closest to us and this location was on the map. I called in once I got the spare tire on and let them know I was coming. They did tell me they were pretty busy but would try to fit me in. When we got there, we were helped pretty quickly. The young man that helped us quickly got the milage and took a look at the damage. Even with them backed up, they got is out within 90 minutes. To some, that would seem long but coming in without an appointment and getting out that fast is pretty nice. They repaired the hole in the flat tire and showed me damage to another tire. Luckily for me, I purchased the tires from Discount before and bought their protection plan. I got a tire repaired and another replaced for $16. This store in particular has a very friendly staff and are quick to get things done. I met the manager who was also really nice at taking care of my entire family. I wish this store was closer to Atlanta; I would come here every time if I could. read more

My first experience with Discount Tires was in Houston, TX and I have been a loyal customer ever since. You can't beat the customer service, quality, and consistency that this business offers. Staff is excellent. Keep it up! We were told it would take about two hours for my car to be done and it was finished in an hour (we came on a Saturday). I would much rather someone tell me it will take longer to do something and get it done faster than expected than be quoted a time and it not be done. I also had my puppy with me and expected I would have to keep her outside and walk her around while they were working on the car but remember when I said staff was excellent? They said I was more than welcome to bring her inside. This was the icing on the cake for my experience. Overall, I paid a little more than $400 for a complete set of tires including the warranty, which I HIGHLY recommend. Let's just say in Houston I went through three tires in one month...I had very bad luck that month. Instead of paying full price each time I needed a tire, the warranty was a life saver, especially for a broke college student. read more

My son recently bought a truck and was looking for some beefy tires to dress it up. He found what he wanted but could not order them thru the online app because the tires were bigger than the OEM. He called this location and the man on the phone helped him with the order. Due to the cost and specific nature of the tires the man asked if my son would be okay making a nominal down payment. No problem. He paid and scheduled an appointment for first thing in the AM. After driving an hour to the location and upon arriving that morning (he was there before they opened) he was pulled in to the service bay and asked if he wanted to "go ahead and get paid up" so he could be on his way once they finished. Again, no problem. Due to this being a large sum amount, my son's bank declined the sale for fear of fraud. This was around 8:30 and banks don't open until 9AM. My son pleaded with the man that he obviously had the funds for the purchase but he kept telling him they would have to move his appointment to 1:15PM because they "were booked up all morning." He called me in a panic asking what he should do. I told him to get in his truck and never go back. What kind of sense does it make to lose an almost $2000 sale over something so asinine. My son had even asked to purchase the Discount Tire protection plan. Who does that and then shows up to have tires put on with no more available funds? NO ONE. He even PRE-PAID to have the tires ordered. Again, who does that and then shows up with no more available funds to make the purchase? NO ONE. There would have been absolutely no problem if the store had not tried to get paid before rendering services. The shop tech even told him it would be at least an hour before they got done. In that time the bank would have been open and the issue cleared up. This store is run by absolute morons. Again, they lost out on a nearly $2000 sale because they couldn't discern what was going on and refused to budge on their "schedule". It's not as if he was going to run away with their tires before they had time to get paid. They literally would have still had his truck in their service bay. It is incomprehensible the level of mental gymnastics it takes to think the store was somehow at risk of being ripped off. Again, had they not tired to get paid early, instead of after services were rendered, nothing would have gone wrong. If I owned this location and found out this happened I would be livid and jobs would be had. No excuse for such piss poor customer service and even worse critical thinking skills. First thing I want to mention is the moment you pull in, you see clean work bays. The second thing you see is an employee coming to greet you. Calvin Fisher is who greeted me this morning and he was extremely courteous, polite, and eager to check the vehicle I brought up here and help get me what I was looking for. We found the selection of tires that best suited me, I paid for the tires, and after that was all said and done he did what many people do not do anymore! He extended his right hand and shook my hand. This is what I found astonishing. No one shakes hands anymore or even desplay half the ethics and manners this man provided me with this morning.
