After calling Ecorattic, talking to ADAM, and consulting in person with EDEN--a man of his word--the previous week, the professional team from Ecorattic worked on two different days: Wednesday, 15 July and Saturday, 18 July 2020. We had a problem with raccoons living under the house and rats (ugh!) in the crawl space and in the attic. The first team on Wednesday consisted of RONNY and FOUR OTHER MEN, whose names, unfortunately, I didn't get. They all did excellent work and cleaned up efficiently. The team did a great job of removing the old insulation in the attic. They then decontaminated the attic space, sealed any potential areas through which any critters could gain access to the house, and replaced all the screens under the eaves and vent spaces. They also installed new screens atop the chimneys to further prevent unwanted mammals from entering the house. After that, the crew installed new attic and crawl-space insulation and, to top it off, a radiant barrier covering the rafters. The landlord opted for a radiant barrier for the crawl space as well, and thus LEO and FREDDY performed that work on Saturday. On both days EVERY man did excellent work and even put finishing touches where I had concerns about this or that. I might add that on both days each man suited up in a Tyvek suit and was properly outfitted from head to toe, including wearing respirators appropriate for the work in which they were engaged. They cleaned up everything after finishing their arduous--and, in the attic, especially--HOT work. All in all I HIGHLY recommend Ecorattic and the fine men who work for them. I salute each of you. I heard noise in our attic crawlspace and called Ecorattic to come take a look. They were able to do a free inspection that same week, and sent over an estimate the next day. We were also having work done on the roof, and Ecorattic let me know that it was best to wait until the roof was done, as that could change what work needed to be done on their end. I will say that I LOVE that I didn't feel any pressure to go with Ecorattic's services. Free inspection, quote provided, and then that was it. It was all in my hands and on my timing as far as follow up and eventual hiring, which I very much appreciate. When we finally had them come and actually do the clean out of the attic, rat proofing, and installation of new insulation, the scheduling was simple, they showed up on time, and they left the work area clean when they finished that same afternoon. The supervisor on site walked me through every area they performed work on, and showed me photos of everything as well. He also mentioned that the ducts in our attic needed replacement, but in the meantime they had patched them up where they could. And the icing on the cake is that the Ecorattic office prepared all city rebate paperwork for me, and sent me all necessary documents and photos, making the rebate application process so simple. To make a long story short, I live in valley village in an area that is very active with wildlife. My mother and I started hearing scattering noises from above at night. The following day I went to check what's going out in the attic and it happened to look like a tornado hit it. I started researching what to do, so I called a local pest control who came by and told me that my problem was not treatable. The noise kept bothering us so I decided to continue my search of a company that would be able to do anything necessary to treat this problem. That night I contacted Ecorattic, they called me the next day and scheduled me for the following day to come out and inspect. The owner of the company Jerry came out and explained everything that's needed to complete this job. Happens to be that it is treatable. Jerry and his crew cleaned the complete attic decontaminated it and sealed up all holes from inside and out, they installed new energy efficient insulation, air ducts and decontaminated my furnace. We set up an appointment and Jerry was right on time. He did a complete inspection and showed me the sate of my attic via pictures, etc... He explained all of the options ot me and the process of getting it done. he even helped finding a company to fund the project. His price was fair. They removed all of the old insulation, fixed the ducts, installed new insulation, sanitized the attic and house as well as rat proofed all of the needed areas. His crew arrived as scheduled and worked all day. He addressed all of our concerns and went above and beyond what was expected. Two follow up appointments to make sure all was in order. I highly recommend Ecorattic. I initially got three bids to clean up the attic of my mid-century home and Ecorattic was in the middle, but it was their professionalism that sealed the deal. After Jerry came out to do the estimate I received it that night fully outlining all work and the costs per step. I then worked with Kim to secure financing and scheduling. All went exactly as planned and the work was done quickly, efficiently and very cleanly. The crews were fabulous and the job was extensive: removal of asbestos and old duct work, critter clean up, sealing and sanitizing, replacing the insulation and duct work to higher quality and this was in the attic and under the house. They even found that my AC was not functioning well because of bad duct work under the house. This too they rerouted to the attic and after only days, the house is cooler, cleaner and hopefully more energy efficient. I discovered rats in the attic of my new home and reached out to this company for assistance. They charged me $5000 to install new insulation and rat-proof my entire house, assuring me that they provided a one-year warranty in case the rats returned. However, a few weeks later, the rats reappeared. The company fulfilled their promise and addressed some missed areas. Unfortunately, this became a recurring problem. Currently, they are not responsive to my calls, leaving me frustrated and out of $5000, with the same rat issue as before. I refrained from writing this review until they started ignoring and evading my attempts to contact them. Despite maintaining a polite attitude, their unresponsiveness and avoidance indicate poor business practices. We had a spectacular experience with the Ecorattic crew for our attic and crawl space cleaning, sanitation and sealing. Ronnie and David were extremely professional and their crew completed the cleaning (on Christmas Eve no less!) quickly, efficiently and thoroughly. Ronnie even disconnected our refrigerator and moved it deeper into the kitchen for me before he sealed off the attic area so I could keep cooking for my family for our holiday dinner. I called this company 3 days ago and they respond very soon and schedule an inspection on Thursday and the guy was very nice show on time and gave me quote. Their price was't the cheapest but they gave me next day appointment so after I talk to my husband we decided to go with this company .Friday 3 guys showed up the same time they told me and started their work , they were very fast and work none stop until they finished their work and they clean after their job . very neat and clean job and the most important thing next morning I woke up I noticed the big different on my house . Very happy from the very beginning to the end working with Ecorattic. My nightmare started months ago with sounds in my attic and eventually finding rat droppings, which continually got worse. Once I made the call to Ecorattic everything was taken care of in just a couple of days. I got my old attic insulation taken out and replaced with new insulation as well as my air ducts that were contaminated! Jerry and his team were very very professional and did the best job cleaning, sanitizing and replacing my old insulation with brand new R-38 insulation into the attic! We have had rodent problems in the past and wanted to change the ceiling tiles and the insulation in a large area for a commercial property. We hired Ecorattic; they were accommodating and worked on a weekend with a crew of six. They took care to cover desks, equipment and etc. They took ceiling tiles and insulation down and removed from building, cleaned framing and installed new ceiling tiles and also rat proofed. My wife and I purchased a house a couple years ago but we started hearing noises up in the attic. We called Ecorattic and they were be able to come the very next day. My insulation was almost 40 years old and very patching. Was having difficulty keeping the house evenly cooled/heated. Also there was evidence of previous rodent activity. Ecorattic came in, did a great job with removing the old insulation, cleaning up the place, sealing up places that needed it, then installing the newer better insulation.
