They conned my Wife into a trial service after knocking on our door and then hooked her with a two year contract. They did come out a few times and sprayed around the house for bugs, treated for ants in the lawn and left. The ants came back in force. We have rodent problems that were never addressed. After being dissatisfied with the service we wanted to cancel, but we had to pay for everything even though we requested they didn't come back. All I can say is that they are misleading and predatory. Their contract does not align with what the sales reps explain. It's only after you sign (trusting the rep to be honest) do you discover the extent they have trapped you. They will suck every dollar from you...and their service is sub-par. The guy said no problem, they'll get it when they come on their first visit. After 6 months I noticed that we were having a spider and hornet problem and I told my husband that we needed to get someone to come out and take care of them. He said that we should have been having someone come for the last 6 months and that he signed us up for Ecoshield, who said that they would take the hornets nest down 6 months ago. I told him that I had never seen a soul in our yard and that the nest was still up there. He said we had been getting charges from them so I called Ecoshield and told them what horrible service they have and told them to cancel our contract. But guess what? Even though they don't live up to their end of the contract, they make you keep yours. No matter what! They said we could pay them the balance we owed them for the 2 year contract but if not we couldn't do anything about it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I complained and even asked to talk to managers, etc. but they wouldn't budge. They even said that they would send it to a collections agency if we didn't keep paying them[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Nothing was done for the spider problem, so I called AGAIN and complained and even sent them the footage from the cameras. They had to send someone out again to take care of the spiders and get the rest of the hornets nest down AS I WATCHED THE WHOLE TIME TO SUPERVISE AND MAKE SURE THEY ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING THIS TIME. Wow, if a company can't do what they say they're going to do, then why am I paying them good money? Do not use this company! We used them for a summer and they made our bug problem worse. Every time they sprayed we would get even more bugs. We never had a problem with bugs inside our home but once we started using eco shield we started seeing bugs inside of our house. We used to just spray on our own for our outside bugs and never had any problems. ALSO, once we canceled and asked for a refund they added an additional charge to our account and sent us to collections. We did not owe anything, in fact, they didn't even fully refund us what they promised they would. So we got sent to collections for a debt we didn't owe causes us more of a hassle. Terrible Experience with EcoShield. Would Not Recommend. I regret signing up with EcoShield. The first service was okay but the bugs were back within a week. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited for the second service, hoping it would be better. The tech showed up, sat in his car for a few minutes, then left. I was brushing my teeth when he pulled up and by the time I went out to leave for work, he had already driven off. He was never at my house for more than 5 minutes and did absolutely nothing. I requested a refund and they said they'd give me 50 percent back. I waited and waited and never got it. I called multiple times and kept getting the runaround. I told them I wanted to cancel if the refund wasn't issued. Still nothing. Then today, while I was at work, they showed up again and charged me again. When I called to cancel once and for all, they suddenly told me I was locked into a 5-service contract. This was the first time I had ever heard that. I asked him several times during the initial sales pitch on my front porch if I had to commit to more than one service, and every single time he said no. A service technician came by my house and offered their services. So he said we could pay for a 1 month trial and said if their are still bugs they will come and fix it for free. They came and sprayed and the next 3-4 weeks we continued to have issues with spiders ants and snails. So we called to have them come back and fix it. They came back and sprayed but we received a bill for it on top of the first months payment. Don't say it's free to come back and fix our issue if you are going to charge us for it. On top insisting we pay for the call back they want to charge us $135 to get out of our contract which we never knew existed. We would have never gone with this company had we known all their fees.
