A sales rep from this company, named Dylan or something similar, came to my home to advertise their services. They walked past two "no soliciting" signs and rang my ring doorbell. I did not answer. They then started banging on the side of my house very loudly. Not only were they extremely unprofessional, what they did is illegal. It is illegal to solicit at a private residence in King County with a "no soliciting" sign posted. I've reported them to the county for breaking this law. I would never want a pest company who breaks the law to regularly service my home. Before the company replies asking for my address so they can add it to their "do not contact list," no, I'm not giving you my address for you to store in some database of yours. Run from this company. Doesn't fix issues. They refused to return when the issues were not addressed, instructing me to wait (well past their BS 3-day buyer's remorse period. After weeks, they offered to reschedule the next paid service to address the unresolved issue, which constitutes a breach of the contract. When you tell them you want to cancel the service, they threaten you with the hidden cancellation fee that the salesperson never mentioned. EcoShield agents have been in my neighborhood since moving in Nov 2022. The first guy was really personable, but we did not subscribe tot he service until around the third guy after not being able to keep the ant and hornet problem fixed by another pest company. Since EcoShield, no ants in the house. We haven't seen too many hornet trying to build their nest. EcoShield is pricier, yes, though they seem to keep the pests away. Be very careful with this company. Our experience is that they do not practice what they preach. We got sold on EcoShield by their promise that all products were environmentally friendly and non-toxic. They promised that they were "different" from the other companies that come and spray poison around your house every month. On their first visit we found them spraying poison all around our house including across all the porches and thresholds. We did not want to be tracking poison into our house every time we enter. When we complained of being misled, they had the nerve to charge us a $250 early cancellation fee. My advice is stay away from EcoShield as there is nothing "Eco" about them. read more

Please do not hire this company for pest control. They came to our door and told us there was an issue with rats at a neighbors house and asked if we would like them to check our crawl space. We let me check it and yes there was evidence of rats under there. At 1st they seemed very respectful and on time. We later found out that the men that came to take out the chewed up insulation in our crawl space and redo our crawl space were not even working for Echo Shield. They were contracted out from another company. When the company was finished and they came for an inspection the work did not pass the inspection and Charles had to come out and redo it all by himself. When my mom wanted the services stopped and them no longer come here again after we were called liars, they lost 2 checks, you can not get ahold of them on the phone and if you do they refuse to let you talk to a manager or supervisor. We were lied to about services. We signed up for a years worth of service and paid for it in full which we did not receive. It took daily phone calls (numerous times a day) starting the end of April until today July 15th to finally get this all taken care of and them told never to come on our property again under any circumstances, I have never in my life had an issue with any company like what they put us through and I hope I never ever have to go through this again with another company. Twice, within a 6-month period of time, a technician showed up and spent less than 5 minutes at the house for a full service, spraying, cobweb removal, pest traps checked, etc. Last time they literally just walked around the house and left. The first time, they had the manager come out and do the service for a discount. It took him 45 minutes. However, the actual service delivered is minimal and does not justify the significant charges. Less than a year later, I had to call them back due to ongoing issues, and surprise--an entry point they "missed" was discovered. When I asked about warranty coverage, they conveniently denied responsibility, claiming it's not covered. This is clearly their fault, yet they refuse to own up to it. Worse, once I challenged their warranty determination, they completely ghosted me. No follow-up, no communication, no proposal--just silence. While out of town, they left a door hanger stating they had sprayed our house and applied granular and crack and crevice treatment in addition to leaving a rat trap. They must have accidentally gone to the wrong address (our house). For the last 3 days I have attempted to call and email the company to find out what pesticides they used at my house and where, but I can't get any answers and am getting the run around. In the mean time, I have reported them to the State Dept. of Ag and the State Attorney General's office. Hopefully I will get some resolution soon. This company is a scam. $1500 wasted. They send a dynamic sales person who overpromises and guarantees unrealistic outcomes. Then if you sign you up for a year contract then you will never see the sales person again. I signed up for spider and rodent treatment and protection. What I got was "techs" that come every other month for about 5-10 min to sweep your house and put traps around the property that have zero effect. I tried to get them to send the guy back to do a real job on multiple occasions and got no response. Finally on the last service the tech left all the traps open, with bait and spikes sticking up posing a hazard to us and any guest who walked through our property. I sent them pics and requested a refund and they canceled my service (thankfully) but they will not respond. This is one of the worst companies I have ever delt with. I sent a warning to our neighbors and they are in the process of canceling. Spread the word to never work with this company! Now I see they AI replied and told me to email my concerns to customerfeedback@theshieldco.com. Ecoshield signed someone up at my dad's house without my dad's authorization, email, or knowledge. They began billing through an email address that wasn't his, which meant no one in our family even knew there was an account. We never saw a bill, a notice, or anything resembling transparency. Fast forward 75 days: we get a threatening letter in the mail about collections. That's right--no communication until they're ready to damage someone's credit over services my father NEVER agreed to. When I called them to pay and cancel the account--because my father had just passed away--they demanded his email. I told them again: he never had one. Then, they had the audacity to ask what day he died and demanded a death certificate, even though I had an account number. As if that wasn't grotesque enough, turns out his signature never even authorized the service to begin with. Ecoshield isn't just disorganized--they're deceitful. We signed up with them 2 years ago. All went well until now. We had a treatment for ants last Wednesday, June 25. Today is Monday June 30 and we have ants in the kitchen. We called customer service and the agent clearly does not understand the problem. She told us nobody could come out until ,July 11! They were sure excited to get our business and assured us if there was a problem they would come out "immediately". I don't think almost 2 weeks qualifies as "immediately". I want to warn others about Ecoshield. Initially, the sales person was very charismatic, persuasive and I signed up for one year. My house was treated while I was gone and I recived text message that there was a concern about my crawlspace due to insulation being torn down, evidence of activity. The tech advised that I may want to scedule an appt for member of their team to inspect crawl space which I did. I was quoted 18,000, yes you are seeing that right, 18,000 to remove insulation, spray, fix entry points etc. The saleman was a hard sell, told me I had rats, they made tunnels, he saw after birth I guess it was effective because I scheduled the work for 3 days out in order to get more information before going through with such an expense. Im a senior that was a lot of money. I decided to get another quote which I did , that quote was 8,000 The third quote was 1,000. Ecoshield tried to take advantage of me.
