Though under the same company, Eco Tek buys used electronics and cleans them to better conditions to resell. They do a great job of analyzing the minor details and putting it into notes for the consumer to read before purchasing. My fiancé and I had checked all of their Microsoft Surface Pros to see if we liked any of them. The workers here let us turn them on, charge them, and try them. They were kind enough to answer all of our questions. One of the best parts about Eco Tek is their hidden treasure section. They had computer parts, iPads, cameras, lenses, usb cables, etc. some were broken and some were usable. The treasure section is for consumers to buy and reuse parts, which is amazing ! They also have musical instruments with electric parts, too. Overall, this is heaven for crafty tech enthusiasts and also a bargain for those who can't afford buying new items. I now know where to go if I need anything.

The service in both shops is consistently good, and I really enjoy looking through their random bits and seeing what they have each time. If you haven't checked it out then you certainly should. :)

When I received my item SEVERELY damaged, Surf City Shopping refused to do anything about it, claimed there was no way that I could have received it in pieces (almost sounded like they were saying that I broke the item myself), and altogether started ignoring my requests. I only contacted them in a professional manner and stated that I expected something to be done because of the condition that my item was in when I opened it. Considering I purchased the item with a "Like New" description. Upon review by the USPS, it was assessed that the item was shipped improperly. I had to go through Paypal to get anything done about this, but the seller continued to fight giving me a refund or doing anything to make the situation right. When I returned the item to the store like Paypal required me to do, they refused my return and I have now wasted the shipping costs again because they are being spiteful. This situation has not been handled correctly by this business and I am only trying to keep this from happening to someone else. The individual that I dealt with throughout this process is highly unprofessional and has been rather rude ever since I got the package. NO apology was ever given about the item or the service I have received either. So unless you want to purchase something from a business that will end up getting to you damaged and having to deal with their terrible customer service, I would not recommend purchasing anything from them via internet.
