I was curious to find out more about out this place based on reviews here. It's a large store that's layed out nicely with friendly staff. I focused on the men's clothes and was quite impressed with the quality and variety. Prices were decent for the stuff i like it. Since I am not from around here and not up on latest trends in "street wear" but did notice how expensive they are. One of the many advantages of being old, lol. This review is for the selling process. They are really, really inconsistent about what they pay to take items at this location. On some occasions I've sold my pop mart figures to them and they pay $3 a figure, but another worker will only pay out 50 cents. Today they were taking them for a dollar a piece. They also take your items in bulk sometimes? I had a bunch of keychains and I assumed they'd give me 50 cents a piece (as that was my previous experience), but they ended up taking it as a lot and gave me $2 for all of them. Not a fan of that since I know they're gonna split them up and sell them at $5 a piece. Also sold a a 20 inch squishmallow brand new with tags and I took a look at their current squishmallows in the same size and all were going for around $60. They gave me $3 for mine lol. I can't wait to go back and see mine go for 20x what they paid me. Just wish they'd be consistent about what they pay out, it really varies from worker to worker. read more

Have been here twice and it has been a great pleasure. The team here are quick, efficient, and friendly. The store is well organized, clean, and easy to find items or just for quick browsing. I have sold here bought my first item yesterday. With my son's 2nd birthday coming up, Toy Story theme, I saw a Buzz Light Year backpack that was only $20! What a great find for his birthday. Do not purchase one single jewelry item from this awful place they are ripping you off. My teenage son (14) bought a very expensive (to him) ring today. $60, ALL THE MONEY HE SAVED for a gift. Although it looked okay in the store and it was labeled excellent, when we got home and looked under proper lighting and magnification it was completely tarnished and looked old and worn. Turns out its a mass produced ring from China worth $8-20 bucks! (300% markup) there's no way to see that really in the store except I guess we should have really brought a magnifying glass and examined it. He was just excited because of the color and it looked okay and I literally said the words I'm sure Eco town wouldn't sell it for 60 bucks if it wasn't nice, duh! When did I forget that people are scammers and businesses are in business because they rip you off. I trusted their designer excellent condition labeling. We immediately brought it back to exchange for something actually twice as much. I get they have a terrible policy, no refunds but there should be some accountability and an ability to please a customer who's about to spend $50 more. I will never shop there again and I encourage you to think twice about it. Today my son learned an important lesson after we went home and he cried about spending all his money on something he can't even use. I know it's the reality of life but come on now it was 2 hours later couldn't you just make an exception and accept the extra 50 bucks from us put it back in the case for some new sucker. I tried to sell there as well a while back and I should have remembered that awful experience. brought in thousands of dollars worth of stuff and they offer me $1 for every $100 item and most they wouldn't even take and I had to haul back into my car. They wanted me to give up designer bags and shoes for two bucks so that they can sell it to you for $200. there are better consignment stores out there and I suggest you look into it as I will, I love the idea of recycling and supporting local businesses, this is definitely not that. read more

I brought in 6 bags of items to sell. The blonde girl didn't even look through them all, as she called me within 10 minutes. I asked if they weren't looking for any Sanrio plushies, but she said it was because of the "condition". She took only two pieces of clothing. I went over to the location in Santa Ana and they took over half of what I gave them. if you want them to genuinely look through your items, this is not it. Lots of toys to look at though, so that's a pretty big contrast in comparison to the other location. read more

I absolutely love thrifting. The thrill of finding the perfect item to fit your wardrobe is unmatched. This consignment store is gorgeous and very well organized. Not only do they have a large clothing selection, but they also have secondhand collectibles, electronics, and toys. The issue is that everything is insanely overpriced. If the purpose is protecting the earth, I really think we could do better. No one wants to spend $50+ for a secondhand clothing item. It kind of defeats the purpose of thrifting. I truly believe they would sell 3x their income if they just slightly lowered the pricing. I love coming here to sell my clothes! Tracey always helps me out and she's the sweetest soul ever. Her customer service is outstanding and she's so helpful. I prefer going to this location over the Santa Ana location since it feels more spacious and organized here. If you've never heard of eco town before they sell a variety of second hand luxury goods like bags, wallets, watches, sunglasses, and accessories. They also have weekly clothes deals from $3, brand name clothes, tons of figurines, anime merch, and Pokémon/sport cards. If you're looking to sell clothes and other goods, you can just walk in and drop off your items. I believe they stop apprising items around 5/5:30pm. You can always call in to double check! They give you a ticket number and usually it only takes 15-35 min depending on how many people are in line. While they look over your items, you can take your time exploring the store! They call you when they're done and pay you in cash. You should definitely check this place out! read more

Been here in the past when I came to sell some old figures I no longer needed. With time being difficult right now I decided to come bring in more item to sell, one of the items including a Gucci bag. In general Gucci bags are expensive and while I wasn't expecting all the money back I at least wanted something different than what they offered me. $100 is what they offered me, FOR A GUCCI!! Don't go here to try and sell clothes unless you have designer pieces and even then I brought 3 bags in and I dont think they even looked through 2 of the bags because I had never worn rag and bone tshirts and all they took was a quiksilver short sleeve for 50cents. read more

Knocking off only one star because I didn't buy or sell anything. I had heard of this place years ago and never found the time to go. I had heard this is an upscale thrift store, and from what the reviews say, its acceptance rate of items is similar to buffalo exchange that it's hard to get stuff taken in, while I did not try to sell items here I could see this place being hard to sell at. At first glance you will see a ton of nice looking luxury items like brand name bags, some bikes, and there's a section for clothes but honestly, the clothes isn't what you come here for. You're coming here to look for unique, rare, and nearly new condition collectibles. This ranges from funkos, to Disney merch, to hard to find board games, and even squishmallows. Got something hello kitty or Pokémon character of value? You'll probably have some luck selling it to the store for Pennie's and they will upsell it for well over what you probably paid for it. There's a very small section of houseware items, no home furniture fixtures or books really, and some toys that look like parts are missing. And watch out if an item has the original tag on it, you'll be able to tell if it's worth it or not. Like any thrift store really, be careful what you find. If you find a deal you can't refuse then great! Otherwise just proceed with overall caution and be mindful of what you select if you decide to buy read more

AIGHT, IDK WHY this place has such a low score unless it's NORMIES giving them or people who are unhappy with donating things or their purchases, but from the perspective of an ANIME & KAWAII obsessed mind this place is FREAKING AMAZING. Before I start off this review, BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE BIGGEST W TO COME OUT OF KOREA SINCE BTS, their worker, CASEY. I LOVE shopping for second hand anime goods and merchandise since it bypasses the extra step of me purchasing blind boxes and not getting characters that I want, pre-ordering at FULL price, or suffering physically at an anime con, BUT my BIGGEST issue with stores like Book Off is that NOTHING is really organized and it becomes an absolute claustrophobic nightmare where unless I'm supremely caffeinated and can pull up my own chair, there's no way I can sift through the trenches happily to seek everything that I want. Casey with his anime and niche hobby knowledge has organized the store in such a way where I do not have to endure this sifting hellscape on Earth and I'm eternally grateful for that. Say no more, Eco Town is actually insanely organized in comparison to Book Off. All the kawaii plushies and items are together, there's a section for Poke'mon and Squishmallow plushies, the fast fashion Demon Slayer and JJK plushies are together, western series/merchandise/toys/Funko Pops etc. are grouped together, the shonen series figures (DBZ, Naruto, JJK, etc.) are grouped together, prize figures in the prize figure section, the small trinket items like acrylics and key chains are also separated into the anime fast fashion categories for Demon Slayer and JJK, etc. I almost DON'T want to write this review and gate keep this place since I purchased an ENTIRE cart full of goods for INSANELY good prices. I have NEVER seen prize figures priced at under $30 unless its MAYBE at a con for a common series OR if someone is desperately trying to get rid of it on Mercari or something, but I was able to get a PLETHORA of FGO (Fate Grand Order) prize figurines that I failed to get when they first released. This also includes a Fate Extra CCC Bride Nero figure too! I'm not a Rider Ishtar fan but I saw a figure that I have NEVER seen be sold in person before. These were all under $35 too which is INSANE to me. They also had the new Tsukihime remake Arcueid prize figure here too. For all you Type Moon heads, ya gotta stop by here. ALSO, I was able to get Duffy and Friends (Tokyo Disney/Disney Asia) merchandise here for under $35, which is INSANE if you're into these little cute friends. The plushies sold here I have seen gone for $60 AT THE CHEAPEST. Absolutely insane. This also goes for some of their Poke'mon plushies, which are legit and some were limited run releases from the Poke'mon Center too. I was also able to get a Yan Qing Ichiban Kuji towel that I missed the first time it ran and had NEVER gotten my hands on in a second hand store. Their Sanrio goods are priced around what you'd find them outside, but I was able to get a large Cogimyun plushie for $12 which is also unheard of. Also by virtue of their proximity to the Disney parks there's lots of official Disney merchandise here including Loungefly backpacks, popcorn buckets and sippers, pins, etc. They get their goods imported from their Japanese branches so lots of their goods greatly appeal to me. I can see how normies who only wanna thrift the common normie goods might not be THAT enthralled, but to each their own I guess lol. read more

First time I was here I sold alot of my anime merch and I expected them to low ball me brand new items (had tags and everything) but I was desperate to clear out my closet and make room at my new apartment so in a way I was grateful that they took majority of my brand new items but with a low ball offer. 4x brand new, tagged loungefly backpacks $12 each! 5x brand new, unopened gundams $5 each! List goes on... So this gave me the impression that they would at least look at the items and offer something. Even with clothes but recently i came by with used baby clothes, toys, books, etc and not even a glance, didn't even bother looking and said that they don't take baby clothes or any of the items that I brought in. If the store says that they will buy kids clothes, items, etc then why advertise it? I might as well just donate it or throw it in the trash from here on out. It's honestly just a waste of my time. Lesson learned. I won't be selling my items here anymore. Best to sell online. Or yet, just donate it to a charity or local community. read more

This place is very clean. Staff is so nice. Had a wonderful conversation with the gentleman at the cashier about Kings Hockey. We purchased two items this day. A cabbage patch and a dancing Stitch. They had a lot of variety to look and buy from here at this location. They value their items pretty much on point. They don't overprice. We will continue to come back to this location. read more

1/5/2025 So I went back n they're telling me it's a winding watch after telling me they put in a new battery, I'll find out if it works the next few days I still keep the 2stars as I was given $12 instead of $16 (40% off $40 should be $16 for my Turley) have rated this resale business highly in the past, I guess in a forward looking way but today I was very disappointed, I am a loyal customer and I thought I deserved a better treatment. I bought a nice watch here a few years back but it was stolen on my last cruise. When I asked them if that watch worked they told me after I put in a battery if it did not work they would refund me. Just 3 weeks ago, I bought a Turler made in Switzerland for $40, I have never heard of this brand but my husband worked in Switzerland and vouched for its quality, it was a winding watch, I bought it and it was good except I must wind it daily, I have arthritis so winding it all the time was hard on my fingers. I took it in, told them I did not expect a refund but I hope to get a decent credit to buy another one. I was told there was no deal so I said I wanted to sell them then, it was a beautiful watch I only wore it 3 times, I was hoping for a $20 credit, not too much to ask, she gave me $12, it was a horrible deal but I took it. I took the money and bought this Omega for $60, the guy said he just put in a battery and it should work, I should have stayed at least 10 minutes to see if it worked, I did not, I went to South Coast Plaza to see if I could find a Santa hat w "merry Christmas" it's crazy, we live in America and all I could find was Feliz Navidad and I have looked now 5 years in a row. I looked at my watch and found out it never even worked, it was still 4:35pm when I left the store. I shook it gently and it started to work but by the time I got home it was 20 minutes behind, I set the time again twice and it worked for a few hours then stopped completely, I paid $30 each and I still wear them different colors matching the clothes I wear. The 1st Murano watch I bought 25 years ago worked for 23 years finally died 2 years ago, imagine that only $30 working for that long and this Omega joke is hard to get it to work.. I just read their "MOTTO" quoted "We are ECO TOWN-an eco-friendly reuse store. We Buy & Sell your unwanted reusable items. At Eco Town, we clean, repair and inspect products for proper operations. Our goal is to prepare products to be reused by our customers as if the products were new". The founder, a Japanese man vouched that what they sell work so now please live up to your own promise. Star Wars, diecast cars, watches, LoungeFly bags, all kinds of cool clothing. Can't wait to visit their Santa Ana store next. I tried to shop here last week for the first and last time. I was looking for toys for my grandson. The toys are on the left rear of store. I had an employee instruct me not to cross the invisible line past the counters to get to the toys !!??!! I pointed out to the aggressively rude employee that the toys had prices on them. He stated that the bins were for the employees to sort and the other toys on the first shelf were for sale but refused to allow me to cross the invisible line to look at them! First time coming to Eco Town USA in Fountain Valley. My first impression is it's a pretty great thrift store. They have a large section of toys (half western/ half anime). It reminds me of Book-Off or Savers. The prices varies from cheap to pricey based on the demand/rarity, and there's a lot of neat stuff. There's a sister store nearby called Eco-Tek that mostly has electronics that also has a lot of cool stuff. Both stores are worth a look every now and then to see if there's any new stuff. You can also sell your items as well and Eco_town will resell it. Don't be one of those people to expect a king's ransom for your second hand gear (like those people selling things in Pawn Stars or even some commentators) : ) Overall one of the better thrift stores I been to. read more

We stumbled upon this place after getting 7Leaves, and I'm so glad we checked it out! I love thrifting and I was pleased to see how organized the entire store is. We spent a couple hours in there and left with some good finds like a coffee hand grinder ($8), Ralph Lauren button up ($15), brandy melville shorts ($3), and a few more items. The prices seem fair, and there are some great deals in the clearance section. There are no fitting rooms at the moment, but they have mirrors around the store. The cashier who was there on Monday afternoon was so nice and she solidified the great experience we had! read more

Regarding bringing in items, I will not return. Their Manager, "Kazu" is very particular and even if they return your items, it's THE WAY he says things, that make you leave feeling "why did you even bother bringing it in?" I don't take things personally, they are items. But if the person's face and words are "I can't take these" to "it's not up to our standards" but they aren't dirty, some are new, some are vintage, all that is needed is to say, "thank you for bringing it in, we'll pass today". I'm sure customers would respond better. I hope if anything, "Kazu" can communicate that better. I noticed many of the customers walking away and leaving who had brought items. Their employee "Viviana" was firm, particular but could keep people coming and she would point out what they were looking for while remaining professional. Their male staff employers are also kind. I have sold many of my barely used purses here, however their focus on what they are wanting has become rigid. read more

I came back a couple days later to return the camera because I wasn't happy with it. All the employees that day told me they can't do returns even after I said I was told I could. Clean, mostly organized, and large selection. Some luxury brands too, like Prada. I go for the clothes, but there's a huge other half of the store with guitars and home goods. Lots of treasures to be found. The couple times I've been there they have a big section with $3 and $1 clothing items. Easy to find, and easy parking.
