But it works and that is what I needed.

It was a really stressful situation that was resolved quickly and easily. I appreciated that they came out earlier than the quoted time so I was able to get back in my car even sooner than I had expected. My daughter locked her keys in her car. Called GCML and they quoted me $29 service call and $39 to…read moreopen the door. I agreed and their tech Hussein cane within 30 min. He got out of his vehicle carrying 2 air bag wedges and a stick. Walked over to the car and wrote out a bill for $126!! I said the guy on the phone quoted me $68. Hussein said that he would wave the service call fee ($29) if I could pay $89 cash or $98 card. I said I wasn't carrying that much cash. He said that that was the best he could do. I called the business number again and told them that the tech just arrived and was trying to get me to pay $126 after I was told it was $68. He said "well I misunderstood and the tech makes the call based on how complex the the door lock is". I told him that it is an 2007 Honda Fit and he has 2 air wedges and a stick!! He agreed to call the tech and I ended up paying $89 by Debit card for 3 min worth of work. To be fair every locksmith company I called used the same misleading line to get you to use them. One place said it could be as high as $200. All seem pretty sketchy. My advice would be to make sure you have a spare key!!!

This business HAS to make a reasonable profit for them to exist to be able to help her. The $65 Service Call, is within the boundaries of normal labor charges used by MANY businesses as of the date of her review.
