Living the dream. That's what is written on the back of the fry cook t shirt! They must have dreamt of frying burgers in school. I wanted to be a vet but hey who am I to step on others dreams. the red and white sofas are reminiscent of the 50's or what Eddie rockets idea of the 50's are and nice in a way because you can look into each others eyes and share your food and listen to your own private jukebox. when i went there with my ex we used to test each other on the songs to see who could sing the 50s and 60s songs and would forget there may be someone behind listening! The girls serving wear 50's style pink and white pinnies with pantyhose and white shoes and woe betide staff that has a bit of weight because the dresses are just not flattering. I guess they just don't eat the food! But nothing can knock how good the milkshakes taste! Served in a big glass with the rest in a big silver pitcher I could sit here for ages and dream!

    Super clean kitchen!!!

Not open at 11:30 P.M. Boooo I'm starving. Looks cool though so it would be unfair to give it a 1 I guess. Still grrrrr.

I was dropped off in a lovely little village and happened upon The Lord Mayors during my walk. My friends and I were greeted by a very friendly waitress. I had my pint of Guinness and a yummy order of BBQ wings. My friends ordered Irish Creams and bar food as well. The service was excellent and the bar was quite cozy.

For an American traveling to Ireland this was "exactly" what we wanted from a stop at a pub…read more Friendly service, while the menu was strictly pub/bar fare, it was excellent, good portions, tasty and served hot. I got a kick out of seeing what appeared to be 1/2 liter beer/ale glasses but then it WAS a pub in Ireland. The prices were what I considered excellent as well. A bonus was the table full of what I would guess to be local musicians playing "traditional" Irish music, accordions, lots of guitar, a guy with 8-10 various flutes, tin whistles etc, another gentleman had various harmonica's, a drum (Bodhran) player and one of the guitar players had an Irish bouzouki - mandolin - lute kinda thingy that sounded beautiful. In all there were at various times from 9-12 players in all. The session was wonderful, playing the typical goodbye to love forever mixed with foot tapping let's be happy variety of tunes. Growing up listening to Irish music, I felt very much at home sitting there and it fit perfectly with the overall atmosphere of the pub, more like a gathering of friends not seen in a long time verses the euro-centric chic feeling of other places we happened across. If in Swords you could do a lot worse I'm sure, while not an expert on the Irish Pub scene, as I mentioned earlier this was an Irish American's mental image of of a night in Dublin.

I'm actually pretty surprised at the low reviews that everyone else has given. I've eaten at this…read morerestaurant at least a dozen times since I moved to the area and don't share any of the same complaints as the others. The sesame jack chicken strips are amazing. The boneless bites are amazing. The beef nachos, the pork ribs, the burgers, the sizzling chicken, the fajitas, the sweet potato fries - they're all amazing. I've only tried one thing in the menu I didn't like and that was the Cajun chicken penne, which I thought was flavourless. Ok, ok so the prices are marked up compared to the U.S., but that's pretty much Dublin in a nutshell. It's certainly not specific to TGIFRIDAYS. Overall, it's been a positive experience 90% of the time with lack of attentiveness being my #1 complaint when the restaurant is completely full. Just go at non-peak times and you're sorted.

I wasnt too impressed altho the decor was total american wood and americana the food let it down…read more The starter was greasy. The speed was a long wait. The staff where very good. The main wasnt well presented the plate over shadowed the burger .the crispy onions overloaded the bun which was soggy with grease and the strawberry daqueri was very bad and looked like it came out of a lidl pre prepared bag . The fries where dry and not very appealing. The dessert was also very bad cream wasnt fresh and the whole meal itself left me very disatisfied and i was honestly still hungry after it. Was the same experience as hogs and heifers very american feel but not american belly buster. Short review as it was a short handed place to be
