As soon as Allegheny county went into the green, I was desperately wanting my out-of-control beard taken care of, I did a search for best barber shops in Pittsburgh, Eddie's came right up, I was shocked to see they could see me right away! I was expecting a huge line or waiting list, they had a spot within the hour. RJ took care of me, he was professional, courteous took 30 minutes of his time, straight razor on the neck, shaved the head, trimmed the beard, all for a very reasonable price. Probably the worst haircut I've ever received. The barber took 40 minutes to ruin my decent head of hair. I went in wanting a trim and came out with a haircut worse than I gave myself while in quarantine. To add to the experience, they only accept cash, their ATM machine is out of order and your only option is to hike across the street in biting cold to get the $25 they charge to ruin your hair. I still tipped him 10% because that's what I do but I'm never going in there again. read more

Would not recommend this place of business due to the horrible haircuts and customer service. I would especially not recommend this place to a parent with children. During my son's visit, the young staff that were present had explicit music playing. I politely asked my son's barber, Gus, to temporarily change the music to something more age appropriate during my son's appointment. In return I received a glaring stare with no reply from this barber as he walked over to where the music was playing from and decided to only turn down the music slightly instead of changing the station temporarily. Not only did this happen, but he butchered my son's hair. This "barber" did not provide the cut I asked for & also did a piss-poor job of edging up. He cut into my son's line and there's a bald patch present. An inexperienced dog groomer could have done a better job. I paid for the cut although I should not have. Gus took several phone calls during cutting my son's hair and it clearly showed with the result of his horrible work. Perhaps Gus should focus more on learning how to cut hair instead of pretending to be an experienced barber. Was it your first day, Gus? Seems like it. Overall the staff should know better than to have explicit music playing when children are present in the shop. They should also focus more on providing better customer service and haircuts. You think this shop would want to provide excellent customer service to the community and receive great reviews and many referrals. Apparently this is not the case. This shop is going to do poorly in business if this type of customer service continues. What a shame. We will not be back and we will tell everyone (especially parents) that this is how they do business around children. read more

His shop is right around the corner from where I live, and it's great having him there. Great cuts at a great price, and you're well taken care of. Never feel rushed when you' re there.
