The price is reasonable, and lots of fixtures choices ,good for retail store to display.

Otherwise, it really depends on what you buy. Some items require you to buy in multiple of 2 or 3 or even a dozen. Not all items are in bulk or sold in multiples of many. I can find better prices elsewhere for most of the items here. I am guessing that is why the store is never busy.

I sometimes come here to buy plastic disposable gloves among other items for food prep. It's like a…read moremini costco where it's basically a big warehouse and everything is on very large shelves. Unlike Costco, you DON'T have to buy a membership in order to buy stuff here. It's entirely optional. The membership includes perks like member only discounts though. Typical of warehouse stores, a lot of the items are packaged in bulk. For example, you can buy a 6 pack of giant condiment bottles instead of just one pack. Another thing is some discounts are only given if you buy multiples. For example, a bottle of sweet chili sauce goes for $4. But if you buy 4 or more, you get 50 cents off each bottle. All in all, this place is really good for people who buy in bulk. One small negative is that the price tags are hard to find. I came with old relatives who had to look very carefully for the price tags because they were jumbled up with other product price tags for other items that were nearby. Other times, you would have to stoop to the very bottom and peek under a not so see-through plastic lining partly covering the price tags. Also, some prices are more expensive than other grocery stores. I didn't buy a 12 pack of pop here because they were more expensive than other places. Came around 8pm and the checkout line was long. It stretched to the middle of the whole store. The line moved relatively fast and I got to the checkout lane 10-12 minutes later. They have a Walmart style checkout line where one giant line is for 4-5 checkout tills. As far as I know, there are no self checkout lines at this store. Staff here are pretty nice. I forgot an item and they let me run to get it and come back. They chatted about personal stuff with another staff member as they rang my stuff up though. Interestingly, even though Wholesale Club is a sister store of No Frills and Superstore, you CANNOT earn optimum points but you can redeem them here. At least that was what I was told by the cashier at the time. All in all, I would come back once in a while for the restaurant or food prep supplies which aren't really sold in other stores or buy items i need in bulk and get a small discount. 3 out of 5 stars.

Great for family of 5, not so great for a single person. The value of it is exceptional and they have a fair amount of food items at the food court. A star was lost due to the service. Am OK with the way it's setup but am used to how ones in the US operate, everyone is running around filling orders. Here there was one dolt assembling and yelling out orders. Other than that it was fantastic and hate to subtract a star as everything else was fantastic like the value and selection, both equally great. Thanks!

Tempted to buy some protein powders, but I resisted... Bought two bags of coffee and two baseball caps.. Someone recommended this place to me and I was definitely not disappointed. It is a great local place to go to if you are a starting hobbyist looking for electronic parts or just someone who need parts for random things. The first time I went to the place it was packed with people from hobbyist, students studying electronics and needed parts to general people requiring parts for an elevator. The place is not big, but it is packed with a lot of things related to electronics. Staff is super nice and helpful in finding you the things you need. I like that they don't try to sell you what you don't need or make you buy a higher price item. If they can't find it, they can order. Price is a bit higher, but this is the place if you are not buying bulk order and don't want the hassle of shipping. There is side street parking which is free. They have a website that you can browse and shop items by categories. The website also has tutorial on starter and intermediate projects that the staff has done, which is cool! The only downside, would be that all sales are final. Saying this, I found the specific electronic parts I wanted and definitely will be back again!

I found this shop in an unlikely place in the middle of a housing neighbourhood near Commercial Drive. The shop is quite small to my surprise but that's probably because I didn't see the kitchen. It's well stocked with uncommon spices and herbs such as fresh galangal and fresh green peppercorns and other rare ingredients. They also sell paella kits, mortar and pestle, cookbooks and more. However, I find the selections very similar to the Granville location and there's really no incentive for me to travel all the way to Victoria Drive. But if you live in the east side, this is great place for people to get a hold of ingredients they've never tried before without having to squeeze their car into the already crowded Granville Island. Pop some galangal into soups or use coconut water in your stew. Life is indeed too short for boring food.
