I think this place deserves a solid 3 or 3.5 maybe. Can't say much about the food, the lomein looks unappealing. The rice looks Mexican rice...I mean if you can turn Jasmine Rice in to a Mexican looking fried rice...kudos to you. But other parts of the meal were fairly doable. The broccoli salad was light and refreshing, the hot mustard made to my liking, strong but just the right amount of intensity, dip some of the peppered fried chicken in there and it was a rather good complimentary pairing. The cabbages sauteed looked fresh, bbq ribs were legit. And although nothing sophisticated with their sushi, the sushi tasted much better than Fujisan refrigerated sushi you'd get at Costco. Hot and sour soup passes my acceptance bar. And they have creme corn and ice cream. So, having driven back and forth on the 54 Highway connecting Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico on one diagonal byway, I instantly knew all these years, this must be some kind of Mule Route where border migrants come in and where drugs can make there way up north. Considering the non-existence of State Troopers and Border Patrol....this is Cartel Heaven. Then dropping in here at this Super Buffet in Nomansland Guymon Oklahoma, it just all confirmed my notion....this is Mexican Sanctuary. The Buffett is packed, Hispanic dialogue fills the atmosphere, the owners were a young couple in their late 40s, Fuzhounese / Fuqingnese Chinese and they ran this entire establishment with Mexican, Guatemalan Kitchen Staff. Impressive...but please....teach the staff to get the lomein and fried rice right. The Fuzhounese Chinese are the equivalent to the Patels of India. They come to America by incurring large sums of debt paid to a Fuzhounese / Fuqingnese human trafficking organizations called snake heads, and the snake heads either get them the Visas to enter into the United States or circumvent entering the US by coming through Mexico; then their first stop is Brooklyn, NY 8th Avenue where they're settled in with a phone and soon they're sent off to some middle of nowhere town in the Heartland of America, working in another Fuzhounese owned restaurant & Buffett until they manage to secure an underground loan to finance their own buffett in another town like this one, Guymon Oklahoma. And so going back to the Patels whom own ever block of motels on America's highways, the Fuzhounese run every Buffett, Sushi you come across in every small town America. I'll end it here with my bantering. This buffett is an ok stop in between Kansas City and Tucumcari New Mexico. Is it great? F*ck no. But will it fuel you up? F*ck yes. Would I recommend? This is one of those places that you would expect to see in the city all the time and yet to have it be done well in a smaller town is something to speak of. You won't be breaking any new territories with something like this. If you've been to an Asian buffet, you know what this is going to be. Sometimes you can expect better, more fresh dishes, and sometimes you get unlucky. The last time I came here some of my favorites were on the dryer side, but the time I came before when visiting everything was super super tasty and fresh and blew me away that it was better than the one in the city! The place overall: Clean inside and the furniture is not to run down. Downside is that people are constantly mopping the floors while you're trying to eat having to smell the bleach and walk around the mop. Food: Strongly mediocre. More than likely frozen bagged Chinese food you can purchase at Sam's club. There is a large variety of food to choose from, including open sushi bar. Customer Service: Good for the most part. This place is horrible. I have never been to a Chinese restaurant and had bad white rice, well today is the first. Rice was mushy and we ordered off the menu not the buffet. Only vegan option that they had the ingredients for was mixed vegetables, even though sesame tofu is on their menu. Server never checked on us after bringing or nasty bland meals. Sometimes, I refer to Taste of China as Tasteless China among family & friends because the food is often bland. Not so tonight. This is the first time that I can remember noticing that some of the smashed little fried shrimp had a bad flavor, making me wonder if they were a little spoiled or something. I was also very disappointed that they weren't serving fresh cooked green beans tonight. In their place was a serving pan of cut, boiled cabbage. I like veggies more than most, but couldn't bring myself to try the cabbage. All the other dishes on the buffet looked and tasted sub-par, compared to previous visits. If we'd arrived late in the evening, I can imagine that the buffet may have looked like it did, but we got there around 7 pm. Small amounts in the serving pans, and food that appeared to have been sitting there quite awhile. Regarding the cost, I noticed that the waiter had noted on the ticket that our 9 year old qualified for the kid's buffet price. Since we also had our 11 year old with us, I asked the co-owner, female at the register, if they also qualified for the kid's price. She said that the price for them would be the same $14.88 as the adults. This meant that, including tax, the total for our 2 kids & 2 adults was just over $60. This is considerably more than I'm comfortable paying, even for a mediocre all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet, considering that the kids only ate one average-sized plate of food each. Never been here before. But the restaurant is very nice inside when you compare it too the out side farming community. The food is pretty good and sweet n sour sauce is perfect. Being pregnant in Guymon and always craving Chinese food is very frustrating. All this Chinese buffet has is old noodles, old yellow rice, mushy old broccoli, old egg drop soup which tastes like burnt dirty rag, a small assortment of rubbery chicken, and very soggy greasy egg rolls! This buffet has about half the amount and variety of food as others. It's missing so much. The buffet charges the same price or even more; expect to pay close to $40 for just two people! I recommend dinning in instead of carry out because they will weigh the food and it will add up more than dining in. Also from experience, don't go after 6pm, the food will be worse, more stale, cold, and the actual buffet is empty all that's left is the one sorry tray of rice and the other sorry tray of noodles. They will still charge the same price! I've never tried any other drink other than water and sprite but there's no difference between the two! Except they'll charge a lot more just because it's a soft drink. The only reason they get the two stars is because the waiters are always friendly, hard working and nice. The mushrooms, sushi and if they have it which is -1/10 times is Mai fun noodles are the only items to look forward to when you walk in. I really wish this buffet was better. Or at least charge less considering the food very low quality, really, the bare minimum. read more

very well surprised by everything here. mixed reviews on this had me wondering so I threw caution to the wind this weekend. I don't like buffets normally and so I don't go very often at all. everything looked great and was hot, absolutely unbelievable. fair sized crowd for being an off time to dine in. sushi was ok, just what I'd expected , nothing I disliked at all. entire buffet was super clean as was restraint. wait staff was friendly and quick. owner or manager was constantly walking around inspecting everything from food to staff and dining room.
