I live in Wilmington and I've been to Eddies Tire City multiple times. Everytime I go I have to walk around for five to ten mins till someone can ask me if I need anything cause they all be busy. The "suspension specialist" went with me on a ride along. I specifically mentioned a few issues I was having. I got quoted for an alignment, and a passenger side "right side" balljoint . I bought the part brought it to him , he did it. Dropped it off at 930am. I didn't get my car back till 430pm. And the "specialist" was on lunch. So I told the other guy I want to drive my car first before I pay you to make sure the shaking of the car is gone. He ASSURES me the "specialist" drove it , and it's A1 . No issues. "If issues come back we fix it no problem." I don't wanna be a bother. I pay the guy 300$ which I knew was insane amount. I was just tired of trying to fix it myself. I needed help. Wilmington business. I support it. I drive off and sure enough car shakes like I never even took it to the shop. I come back "specialist " is interrupted on his lunch to come talk to me so he's pissed off. I'm like it still shakes ? He's like you came to me for a sound in the suspension and we figured it out. I said yes . But the car also needs to be fixed the shaking that's why I got an alignment . He said oh well the shaking is a separate issue. I was livid . He told me I need new axles that because I lowered my car I needed new ones. But never told me this before at all. Not one mention of an axle. I drive off livid pissed off. Played. Oh well he fixed the PASSENGER SIDE BALLJOINT and I got an ALIGNMENT. Car still pulls slightly to the right, and I just jacked up my car. The "SUSPENSION SPECIALIST" replaced my DRIVER SIDE BALLJOINT WHICH WAS COMPLETELY Fine. While my passenger one is shot to shit. Completely incompetent people. Horrible customer service. My husband and I were on our way to go out of state when we realized that our tire was almost flat. so we rushed to find the nearest tire/auto shop to get it fixed. We were recommended here by another shop and it didnt disappoint. Everybody in this place is very friendly, helpful and most especially HONEST, which is very rare when you visit an autoshop! the guy that looked at our tire even said that they didnt need to patch it as it was okay. they added air and even though they took a look at all four tires, including the car system (which was another issue) didnt charge us for anything!!! of course, we still gave them something more than how much we were originally quoted because of their honesty and the willingness to help. I cant thank the people that work here enough for giving us the peace of mind and making sure that we are safe as we drive 500 miles more! Took my car in last week Thursday for a wheel alignment. Found out they didn't even do it!! They never gave me a diagnostic before or after the alignment. I went to a different mechanic and found out it was an air bubble in my tire. My car was never checked!!. I spoke with GATO and he said he will take care of me, but that wasn't case. I would give 10 stars if I could! Having air leaks on the tire is very annoying. I've tried to fill up the air almost every week and it seems like I got a cut or so since the nail part was on the invisible side. I went to two different tire shops but they all told me to come back tomorrow. However, when I called this shop, they said they can do it right away! Overall, The best and friendliest service. Don't allow your girlfriend or wife come here without you fellas. Im at work and my girlfriend had a nail in her tire that needed to be removed and fixed. My girlfriend was harrased and bothered by the owner/boss of the shop. He asked her out for coffee/breakfast persistently even after telling him no several times and even after telling him she has a boyfriend (me.) She felt extremely uncomfortable being there. She's been to this shop several times in the past, but this definitely will be her last. There's nothing more unprofessional in a business than a boss/owner who thinks because they hold the keys to the place that they can talk to or treat customers how they want. Arrived at Eddie's Tire City when they opened at 9 am. They had a great special for an oil change on their website. The man at the counter said he knew nothing about it and that I would have to wait for the owner to arrive at 11 am. I showed him the coupon and he still said I would have to wait for the owner. He kept changing his prices and he said he couldn't include free tire rotation which the coupon said it would. He was very unprofessional and one of the workers even yelled at me to move my car. My tire needed patching so I came here because it's closest to my house. Manuel said that my tire couldn't be patched that I needed a new one. Okay he's the "expert" so I was like okay how much is a used tire? $60 he said I couldn't believe a used tire was $60 when I had paid $25 in East LA. Anyways I said okay so how much is a new one? And he said with installation it would be $140 for a new tire. My car is a Chevy Cruze I told him the cheapest tire so why in the world $140!! I declined because I felt he was just straight up trying to take advantage of me for being a girl and he has a very sketchy vibe. So I went to another tire shop on Anaheim and Wilmington st and I got a new tire for $110 including installation and tip. Don't come here they want to take advantage of people and lie. Went in to patch a tire, and found out that they didn't even patch it. They took my whole brand new tire. All my tires were fairly new (about 1 year old), except the one they swapped it out with. Life throws us curve balls at times, and I'm a homerun slugger. Premise: Had a huge business meeting with potential clients from out of the country. I wont go to far into its time sensitivity, but was the third and final rendezvous before their departure back to the UK and would bring forth their arbitration. I'm a stickler for punctuation, a solid rule for any entrepreneur who masters "Capture the Flag." Here we go,. Driving down the 110 in my 2012 BMW M3, concentrated on the elocution I stood up "burning the midnight oil" the previous night, wasn't aware of the debris on the road left after an accident earlier and my back driver side tire caught the worst of it. Being a 15 year AAA member, aid was a phone call away, but given the time and circumstances had to make a Coach decision to get off the freeway and use what I thought would be an inferior dispensation. Oh Boy,.. Was I wrong about the inferiority! Limping past Eddie's Tire City, decided not to stop given the fact of the long line, figured wasn't the best option and made the awful decision to hit the tire shop across the street that only had one customer. Thought process still on time and the clients, sat for 15 minutes watching the line at Eddie's dim at an alarming rate while here I sat, bottom of the ninth, bases loaded, full count and watching Eddie's running circles around this place. Getting back into my M3, the employee still working on the other customer, I came to find out was getting free service because they had not done the job right to begin with from the day pryor. Headed to Eddie's,.. Sprinting at point. Best decision by far no doubt. Meet Mike, Eddie's Tire City employee and life's superstar. Regular run of the mill joe that, both white collar or blue collar human beings can get a cold brew, watch a ballgame with and get some memorable banter worth bringing up years later. Mike had me out of Eddie's faster than the tire checked out. Simultaneously located another tire that caught some of that road garbage and would have gave out within 2 miles of driving off. Also gave me a crash course on how my M3 tires where staggered and would not be able to be rotated. Mike's a master of his trade. To Conclude, Eddie's won the ballgame that day and Mike is without comparison their MVP. Made it to my meeting on time, and later that day received the phone call that I had won the clients undoubtedly. Hey,. That's what I do. Eddie's Tire City is well worth 5 stars and your business. I had a very bad experience with Eddie's Tire City that spanned not just this one store but the Bellflower location and it all started with them not taking the time to be conscientious and make sure they placed their floor jack on a load bearing support under my car. They bent my car's frame! This was all over a tire patch they preformed. This cost me $15 initially, however when this was all said and done I was charged $800 plus dollars to resolve it with a reputable body shop. Initially they acknowledged fault and offered me the option to go through their associates body shop, however their "hook up" needed my car for 2 weeks so they could essentially work on it during their down time. When I asked for a rental they denied me, when I asked them for recompense they ducked and dodged my call and to be specific the owner and his family who run the shops were deceptive and were not of their word. It was really out of character especially for Long Shore men... I try to support community and mom and pop brick and mortars but this was no less than an ordeal! Honestly if you can't or don't take the time to line up a floor jack then what's the point?!! The experience I had was very disheartening and I'd be reluctant to ever allow them or their subpar associates to touch my car again. Not because of the mistake because that happens, but because the lack of scruples and business etiquette shown. Basically "yeah we messed up what can you do about it?" attitude prevailed. The one star is actually to denote a negative one star rating. No more Eddie's Tire Shitty for me! Take your risks with the floor jack impaired if you wanna! After going to Sears and being told that my nearly new tire was not repairable because it was sidewall I came to this place thinking I was going to get a used tire until I got my brand new one since my tires are under warranty as soon as I brought it in the gentleman looked at the tire and told me it was actually repairable. I was already sold on getting a used tire and wouldn't have thought of much and the gentleman could've made a little more but instead he was completely honest and did the right thing seriously it's hard to find a repair shop that's honest and this place is definitely yet I will be sure and I don't need to bring my business back but I will also recommend to any of my friends with any problems with their cars read more

Well I decided to give Eddies another try .These guys are very neutral they do speak English so don't be afraid when walking up . Although something that I have experienced at most repair shops is it's a manly caveman affair . They grunt and walk around like real men and look angry like real men and they don't do smiles and hearts but these guys will help you out if you're in need of a new tire , used tire or you get that occasional nail in your tire . The guy couldn't help me with the size tire I needed because my tires are over sized but he told me if I got them he could balance the tire and put them on for me . I bought the tires at Walmart and brought them over and they charged me $35 to put both on and checked my brakes for free . I got a nail in my tire (with only 13,000 miles on it) that was in the tread, but towards the outside of the tire. I stopped by a major chain and was told that they wouldn't fix it because it was too close to the sidewall. I've had numerous holes repaired on many tires through the years and I have never had a problem with a hole that was solidly in the flat part of the tread - not in the sidewall.
