I can not attest to their full services or getting new tires from them. However, I will suggest that you go elsewhere for a used tired. There are many in this area that I wish I had gone too. I got a flat from a crazy pot hole. My tires were due for a replacement. In any case, getting a used tire is the best I could do atm. The service was friendly and quick however I do not believe they gave me tire much better than what I had. they said this is all we have. In hindsight I should have left but I trusted them. It cost $45. I've had better used tires for that! My bad. Not 2 wks later I had my two front tires replaced at another shop bc I was getting my car ready for a cross country trip. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They usually have great service there but this time I was very very disappointed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have 3-piece rims and one needed to be welded due to a couple cracks on the barrel. I took it in and they sent it out to get welded. They did a great job on the welds but there was a huge issue that pertained after; my rim would not hold air. I looked at my rim and there were a couple of bolts missing and it was not sealed correctly. Worse part is, I was to blame. They stated it was like that when I brought it in. Lesson learned! Specialty work...take to specialty shop. A "15min" job took an hour, an extra trip, a follow up home repair and a shot of whiskey. Rims damaged, only to be told "they are ATV rims"..."the damage was already there"..."you should have taken it to another shop"..."this is the only machine I have, maybe I'll use a rag". Either under trained, blunt negligence or simple equipment failure, BUT this resulted in deep rim wall scratches that buried solid aluminum fragments into the tire wall. Used pliers to pull pieces out. Advise to staff: take pride in your work, it shows. Excuses only makes matters worse. Three stars to Shawn who is the only one that was understanding. By the way, these rims belong to an ATV I'm restoring and I'm very particular of the workmanship. read more

This is going to be a long review - but I feel it's important to let new customers know. I just moved and needed to find a new tire place. I feel mom and pop shops offer something that chains can not. They were recommend by a FB page called Saving San Pedro. So, I went here to Ray Deeter Tires. In August 2016 I stopped in to ask them to check my tires and see if they were ok, because I was driving to Sacramento- I spoke with Sean- he came out and looked - told me I don't need new tires yet. He did say my back breaks were pretty worn. At that time I had them put on new roaders and back breaks. I went in - Aug- Sept- Oct- Nov- each month having him check my tires. I just wanted to make sure I was safe. In December I got a nail in the side of my tire. My car warning light came on. I took it to a gas station and they wanted to sell me a new tire. I couldn't do that because Sean gave me a quote in Aug for four new tires. He has been so nice all those times. I was giving my business to Deeter Tires. So, I left that gas station and went to another one - they said they can get me a new tire but can't fix it. So.... I drove from South Redondo all the way to San Pedro and had Deeter Tires look at it. Sean let me know - it was a screw - that was screwed into the tread and didn't even puncture the tire .... another tire needed some air. In January I came back with a low tire and it was a cluster - I called for three days before - trying to get the tires ordered - because I knew it was time. Nobody was answering the phone. Sean wasn't there - the speakers outside were not working properly they told me for the phone to be heard ringing etc - So, I waited for a returned call and that never happened. I was frustrated and worried about my tires. For 9 days I kept trying to get in. I went down there and Sean was back. I explained what was happening - nobody answering the other guy at the desk was ALWAYS grumpy. How did we go from excellent service to this ? I showed Sean all of the times I called on my phone log - he apologized said ya there has been a few issues. He ordered my tires had them the next day - I went down when they opened - was there about 3 hours. Waited in office. Sean honored the quote he gave me and I was off - I went to Big Nicks and bought all the guys pizza for lunch. Delivered to Sean and said thank you for the excellent service. He took an excellent situation that turned sour and frustrating fast into a "I've got you " and his actions matched his wording. So, good service is so appreciated! read more

My friend insisted that I go to this local tire shop. So happy I did Sean was absolutely wonderful and helped me get the right tires for my SUV. This is not a corporate shop it's a family run business and it deserves your attention. Shopping local where you live truly makes a difference in the service and value exceeded my expectations usually I go to a corporate tire store. They were able to get me the tires I wanted the next day and didn't tried to sell or push me into something they had in stock I already knew what I wanted and Sean is awesome and even recommended going with a slightly smaller size than I wanted. I can't believe the difference in how the vehicle drives and performs it's even getting better gas mileage with just one size smaller tire. It still looks great and I was just being excessive. Ray Deeter's Tire Town is my spot for tires. Shawn and his staff are the best. They are honest and professional. I came into their shop today, since my tire light kept showing up, but my tire pressure was all normal. I initially thought maybe it was the tire sensor needing battery replacement. Shawn was quick to assess the issue with no charge and informed me that the tire light light can just be reset. He also helped recommend another shop for my car suspension if needed since I also had issue with that light coming on and off occasionally. Yesterday I went to Ray Deeter's, a place I have been going to for over 30 years, with multiple cars. I have always appreciated the convenience, efficiency, and speed of their services. During the Covid pandemic, I have cone here fir new tires, leaks and alignment on several cars. Masks were not worn. I even asked someone who said, "We can if we want to." Well, apparently they don't want to. As a small and local business, they should be more respectful of their customers and the community. So many of us have lost our income and/or businesses. This irresponsible behavior and attitude contributes to the losses. I will sadly, be taking my business elsewhere. In response to your post... Thank you for responding to my concerns, however I have been there, as has my husband, three or four times during the pandemic, and have only ever seen one person wearing a mask. I specifically asked why no one was wearing one on my most recent trip. The woman I spoke with just shrugged her shoulders after her response. No one had one on-there were at least six employees I saw. Also, there was a heat wave over the weekend, but my visit was before that. My brakes were acting up. I pulled up in the morning and Shawn Deeter (3rd generation at the shop) immediately test drove and had his mechanic pull the wheels, no waiting. Wow! Honest. Trustworthy. I'd come back again and again. Went in to check on alignment because I had the axle replaced on my car and it felt like it was pulling left. They checked it out did a tire placement switch and didn't need the alignment. Could of did the whole thing and charged me but chose to be super honest and take care of me without needing to do the unnecessary. Something that I feel doesn't happen often when fixing cars. I had a slow leak tire repair to fix on a workday and needed fast & reliable work done. Called a couple major chains and the wait was 2 to 3 hours so I turned to Yelp for help. I found Ray Deters tire town with high marks and gave them a call and they said they could get my car worked on and completed in about 20 minutes When I arrived a service tech came out, his name was Benny, and knew exactly who I was because he remembered my phone call. Not only did they do the tire repair in less than 20 minutes but they also helped me with some questions I had regarding my suspension system. Honest and straight forward. Can't stay enough how refreshing it is to get excellent customer service, fast service and honest and complete answers. The only problem I have is that I wish I would've found and tried Deter's a lot sooner. And, lastly, and I don't say this lightly, if I could give them six stars I would!
