Isabella's was recommended to us by a family member for my sister's bridal gown alterations after we had a bad experience at the place she purchased. They provided such excellent service and quality of work (for both my sister, her bridesmaids, mother of bride, grandmother of the bride, etc.) I knew I wanted Toni to do my wedding dress as well! I live in NC and took my dress all the way to Maryland when visiting family to get it altered! I just had my final fitting this past weekend and it turned out beautifully! There was one minor adjustment that needed to be made, and Toni even came in on Sunday when they are normally closed to let me try on the dress one final time before I headed back to NC. Isabella's is a small family run shop and you truly feel like you are part of the family when you walk through the door! Toni and her daughter will help you decide what alterations need to be done, and they don't at all make you feel like you are a bother -- they want it to be perfect just as much as you do! We were helped by Allie who was so patient with us from beginning to end. They have a cute dressing room for the bride to try on dresses. Allie helped my friend try on 5-6 dresses that we initially picked out, and she then brought 2-3 more to try based on the feedback we were providing throughout the fitting. After my friend picked her dress, we also asked about veils to which Allie picked a few out. She even went as far as bringing one from the back that had just been brought in. That newer veil ended up being the one my friend went home with. We were given complimentary champagne to toast to finding my friend's dress & veil. Overall, Allie and Cherie's Bridal made the process of finding a dress seamless. My friend (and I) had such a great experience overall. Local tailors were also provided to help with any alterations. Cherie's is accessible right off the parking lot (there's a direct entrance), and can also be reached through the inside of the Savage Mill building if you come in from the Big Lot.

I…read morehighly recommend you inquire about and budget for alterations, import tariffs, fees, etc. when shopping for your dress to avoid unpleasant surprises down the road. This shop wanted almost half the cost of my dress for alterations alone, so I ended up finding a reputable seamstress elsewhere that did the same alterations for less. I will say that the service for the dress buying part of the experience was excellent. After that, I did not get the impression the store cared as much for the alterations to the same level as the dress purchase. If they had, I would have considered using them for the convenience of a one stop shop despite the price.
