Stopped by while visiting the mall. Their collection of Seiko watches caught my eye. As soon as I entered I was greeted and given the full attention of one of the salespeople. he was a bit overbearing, as all jewelry store attendants tend to be, but overall a very nice guy. He seemed very knowledgeable of their collection and the benefits of buying a Seiko from Janvier as opposed to anywhere else. I did not feel too pressured to buy anything, and was able to look for as long as I wanted before letting the salesman know I was heading out. Overall not a bad experience. read more

What an amazing experience! I can only speak to my time after my fiancé proposed (however I will say he was extremely pleased with every detail along the way!), but I needed to get my ring resized and they were able to take care of that same day! I know that might not always be the case but if meant so much to me that I didn't have to leave my brand new ring behind for too long. I could not have asked for a more personal and helpful experience! For such a big investment and sentimental piece, I feel like we learned a lot and felt very comfortable spending the money. Karen really went above and beyond to help us design the ring I always wanted. She was so knowledgable and really listened to me. I never felt like I was being 'sold. She was able to take what I was asking for and meet with the diamond cutter to find the perfect stone for me! Great place with reasonable prices and high quality jewelry and diamonds. My brother recently bought his girl's engagement ring here and the service was fantastic. They did not pressure him at all and answered all our questions. This was the only jewelry store in the whole mall that was able to show us F-I colored GIA certified diamonds with clarify VS2 and higher at Internet prices comparable to bluenile and whiteflash. My future wife and I stopped by every Jewelry store in the Christiana Mall comparing engagement rings. We were greeted and helped with no issues. We decided to visit Janvier and the experience was drastically different. Out of the 3 employees in the store NOT ONE PERSON greeted us, asked if we needed help, or even looked up at us. There were no other patrons at the time. I guess an early 30's African American couple with successful corporate jobs who look younger should steer clear of Janvier. The engagement ring is absolutely beautiful that my fiancé had purchased, and when he went to pick out a ring he had said the woman who helped him was very nice and lowered the price for him. My fiancé called this week to make an appointment to get the ring sized, and he was told to try to get there before 3pm, which was fine. He had called again today to make sure they knew we were still coming and he was told to come earlier. I had work today, so 3 would have worked better for us, but apparently the jeweler was adamant about coming earlier, so luckily I got out of work earlier so we were there by 2. We were greated awkwardly, and one of the workers, I'm assuming the man my fiancé talked to, made a comment like "you said you would be here by 1:30!" Which I think he meant to be funny, but it seemed passive aggressive to us.. Then we returned to pick up the ring and while waiting we were looking at wedding bands for my fiancé, then all of a sudden I hear "excuse me shorty" and I turn around to see the previous passive aggressive worker holding my ring to give to me. I am a 21 year old woman, not a child. I am honestly furious to think that someone in a fine jewelry store would treat a customer like that, no matter what my height is. I love the ring more than anything, and my fiancé loved the selection, but honestly the customer service really bothered us today. read more
