We pulled into town hungry for breakfast and relied om other reviews to find Eden's Kitchen (inside the Hotel Pendleton). The eggs were great. We were forewarned by a sign at the cash register that it's not fast food, so were not surprised bumy the somewhat slow servce. Serve yourself coffee and water. Had lunch today (4/30/2025) The atmosphere is very clean and pretty. I ordered a Rueben sandwich on a bacon, rosemary bread, (delicious)! The sandwich was huge. I also had their tomato basil soup. The soup flavor was amazing. No way could I possibly finish my meal. Price vs Meal is a great value. The downside is no wait staff. Must bus your own table. Only open until 2:00pm. read more

July 11, 2019 Breakfast about 745 / 8 am. Empty. Friendlish staff. Food quality GREAT. Cleanliness a 6 out of 10. Felt deserted. Bakery cabinets empty and overall sense was one of "something's changing" or "not going well". Proclaimed homemade bread and we had some toast and it might have been but not sure about that. The place smelled musty. Not like fresh baked anything. We had granola and cream with berries. 1 strawberry sliced on each of our bowls. Tasted great but way too hot - like it was microwaved instead of stove heated cream. The brewed coffee was quite good. But no real cream. For a place saying it's a coffee place that doesn't really work for me. I WOULD go back. Try lunch. But not breakfast again. This place has oodles of potential - and so I would give it another go. We tried the Turkey on classic wheat, BLT on herb cheese and the green machine on herb cheese. All breads were fresh made, ingredients fresh and delicious. We were rolling thru town and called ahead, service was fast and friendly. No indoor dining during Covid, but they did have a picnic bench just outside. I would definitely return on my next time in Pendleton. I want to try their soups! read more

This is by far the best if not the only sandwich place around this area. They make their bread each day and it is very soft, and tastes great. They do take a bit longer then some places when they are busy, but if you call ahead you shouldn't have any issues. read more

Delicious! Our family stopped by and ordered the veggie and Mediterranean sandwiches. Thank you for having fresh veggies that aren't brown or wilting! The focaccia bread was very good and so soft as if it came fresh out of the oven about an hour ago. A bonus was that they had a section in their restaurant that had toys for kids to play with. This was a hit for my 2 year old! I'm giving 4 stars because the wait to get our order was long. Maybe it felt extra long because we were all starving. We picked up three breakfast sandwiches which we had ordered online. They were ready and waiting for us, but wrapped nicely, and perfect temp. The sandwiches were so delicious. They weren't huge, but we all felt like they were just right--especially as we got 3 for about $15. They really couldn't have been better. This is a regular lunch spot for my wife and I. For us each time we come we kind of ask ourselves why we like it so much because there is nothing special on the menu then we order and remember. It's the bread! Sarah is like a baking savant. Every sandwich is fantastic because I swear the bread is delivered daily from heaven. Anything she bakes is exceptional. Stopped in for lunch on our way through town (mostly based on Yelp reviews). Ordered the "ooey gooey grilled cheese with 5 slices of Colby). Added bacon. Opened the sandwich when it arrives, basically toast with 1 slice of bacon. Maybe one slice of cheese, definitely NOT 5 slices. The bread was good. What a wonderful and welcome surprise! Eden's is a great little place, tucked away about a mile from the exit. Everything is homemade and of very high quality, including the bread (bacon rosemary focaccia on the sandwiches!), the soup of the day (a very flavorful chicken and rice), and three different kinds of lemonade ($2 lemonades on the day we stopped, so we had one of each!).
