I absolutely love visiting Queeny Park. It is a beautiful park with lovely landscaping. I usually go to walk, although there are other amenities. There are many trails that are packed or paved. If it is hot, you can walk shaded trails which I like. There are specific trails for bicycles and horse areas. There are water fountains and bathrooms in different areas. Plenty of space to park, either in large free lots or along the road.

I had been waiting a long time for the new playground to open and it didn't disappoint! I love how accessible it is for all of the kids. My kids and I go to a lot of parks and the new playground had some cool, interesting, and safe options that I had never seen before. We were able to have a great time here. It's probably not as great for toddlers, but my 7 and 9 year old kids loved it.

Love Queeny park, tons of great walking trails. Variety of distances, some go by horses, training areas, and ponds. It's absolutely beautiful! The playground was amazing, but is currently under construction. In the summer there are balloons that often launch from there, it's beautiful to watch.

Great Dog Park! This park is a membership only park. Must present current vaccinations and $50 for a dog (extra $15 for additional dogs) The park has two sections, smaller dog and large dog area. The large dog area is pretty large over an acre. Lots of benches inclu ding a picnic area with shade and fans (and outlets) great for working on the computer. There is some agility equipment, rocks to climb on and a small spray station. Very nice dog park.

Beautiful weather for the book sale at the park. This place has wonderful trails and interesting events at its recreation complex.

See, even a twenty-something can have fun at this park!

This was my favorite park when I was a little kid, and it still rocks. I was at the park very recently, and I'm not ashamed to say that I had a blast! There are tunnels to explore and hide in and tons of slides. The center of the park is a pyramid-shaped structure you have to "rock-climb" up to get to the top. That's where you find the tunnels and all the nooks and crannies that you can hide in. It's completely different than any other park in the area. The only kind of disappointing thing is that they got rid of the zip-line that they used to have. I'm sure it was for liability purposes, though! Basically, Queeny Park is heaven for kids...and even some adults!

We came to see the Sculpture "The Awakening" which is a massive sculpture of a giant who is struggling to get out of the ground. It's not a single sculpture but five separate sculptures that make up "The Awakening". Great park to visit - not only for the sculpture but for some peace and quiet.

When we first got here, we noticed the park is in a pretty secluded area, and not many people were around unless they were going to the library that is connected to the parking lot. There are so many different parts of this park, including "The Awakening" sculpture, an amphitheater, a walking trail with a waterfront, and a Veterans memorial. The park was very clean, and we loved everything we experienced. The sculpture was so cool and is basically a steel man broken up into different separated body parts, who looks like he is trying to free himself from the ground. It's unbelievable how big this is in person, and we loved it. The Veterans Memorial was gorgeous and included significant quotes, a fountain, and American flags with every branch of the military included. The waterfront and trails were gorgeous, and we saw many HUGE ducks, cardinals, and wildlife. We loved the isolated walking trail because it had such beautiful views. Homes are being built around there, too, and the water would be such a gorgeous view to have every day from a home window. We weren't able to go to the amphitheater because they were getting ready for a summer night free concert event, but when we left, many people were gathering to go to the event. You can bring your own beer as long as it's in a can, so that's awesome and unlike many other public areas! Overall, if I lived in St. Louis, I could see myself regularly coming to this park and the surrounding area often. It's definitely a tranquil place where you can be one with nature and enjoy the views and entertainment.

The tennis and basketball courts look fresh and a new bed of wood chips were added to the children's playground. On the playground littles as young as 1 year old can enjoy a number of different kinds of equipment. They do have a baby and disability friendly swing available. However the entrance into the playground is NOT DISABILITY FRIENDLY. There is a short walking trail but beware of geese and their poo. I saw folks doing some leisurely fishing but not sure on those guidelines. The restrooms were interesting but I was surprised they were less maintained compared to the rest of the park. Dogs are welcome while on leash or on duty as service dogs.

However, if you're driving, there is plenty of parking. They have a little pond that people can fish in, and there are lots of ducks swimming and walking around. They have a playground and a basketball court, which both seem well-kept. There's also a pavilion but I haven't used it so I'm not sure what amenities it has. There's a path around the pond, and while it's a very short loop, it's good for a slow, peaceful wander. There are benches around the path and next to the park under some trees. I'd recommend checking it out if you're looking for a small, chill, clean, quiet park.
