She was sensitive to my heightened gag reflex since I am pregnant and watched for any signs of my gums not being healthy since it's a higher risk during pregnancy. A week and a half later and my teeth still feel SO CLEAN! I got to be in the bird room office - a corner space with enormous windows on two sides and a view of a bird feeder in a big evergreen tree with tons of cute birds coming and going as you get your teeth cleaned. It was beautiful and relaxing. Dr. Lubbe was positive, fun and answered all my questions. It was a wonderful experience.

However, in my experience, Dr. Kurtis is the best dentist on this planet. He does not have an incompetent dental hygienist scrape your mouth to pieces and hose you down with water so that you emerge like a drowned rat, but meticulously does the cleaning and scaling himself. For each six month checkup he performs a complete cancer scan. His skill is exemplary in every sense of the word. For 60+ years I had been flossing and brushing my teeth incorrectly and never knew it. It has cost me a fortune over the years for fillings, root canals, crowns, implants, etc. Dr. Kurtis charges a minimum fee for a thorough lesson on dental hygiene. I had to have full restoration done on my upper front teeth and was wary of spending five hours in a dentist chair. I always dreaded the torture of something as simple as having a local anesthetic, which always resulted in a completely numb face and nose as if I had just suffered damage from a stroke, but under Dr. Kurtis' expert care, I felt absolutely nothing. I was so relaxed I even fell asleep for most of the lengthy appointment and was provided with a warm fleece blanket. The experience was like being at an expensive spa resort in Hawaii. Dr. Kurtis works with state of the art equipment and explains every aspect of any procedure carefully and thoroughly. He truly cares about his patients rather than screaming at them for being "uncooperative" while you writhe in pain having a 'dentist' drill right into your nerve while fracturing your tooth apart. I walked out of my appointment smiling with my temporary veneers and I cannot wait to go back to have the permanent ones installed.
