The worst customer service !!! I really need to get my glasses readjusted because they are in serious need of help. When I explained to the lady that an optical shop had not adjusted them properly she immediately dismissed me. She obviously doesn't want business because or she would have readjusted them. Patricia provided awesome service for my eye protection needs! Back two decades ago, I was told by two of the most best ophthalmologist in Fort Collins that I needed to protect my eyes from UV rays (especially since we are at a mile high). I got a pair of prescription complete wraparound sunglasses (SPF 99 rating) that I wore consistently last 16 years but the frame broke and lens are scratched up. As a result, my recent ophthalmologist appointment results were great with no progression of cataracts and other eye issues. Patricia guided me through process of narrowing down the many choices and ordered handful of Wiley X sunglasses for me to try. She help me narrow down the choices that fit my face and helped me get the best deal on my prescription lens to match. Can't beat the discount deals as well she kicked in! The Eyes Have It have great personalized service and deep experience that is superior to all the other optical places I've been in my journeys! Back 20 + years ago, they created a custom photochromatic Silhouette brand glasses that gave me the cool like of Keanu Reeves in the Matrix movie I am grateful, I came across them at this new location. I HAVE NO IDEA WHO WAS WORKING ON SAT APRIL 26 ABOUT 2PM. My wife and I walked in and were not even greeted by this rude woman who obviously did not want to be at work.. .I was seeking a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses with readers. This woman acted like we were ruining her day by asking questions and looking on the computer. I'm seventy four and my wife seventy, so we were not teenagers keeping her from busy work, WE WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE!!!! She was so condescending I finally said "you must be preoccupied" .Her reply was "yes'. I hope she's not the owner! I came to this store to get a particular pair of frames that I couldn't find elsewhere. Even though this store was not in my In-Network eye care providers, the staff was actually able to make price adjustments to make the cost the same as if I had gone to my In-Network providers. They also went out of their way to help guide me on getting reimbursement from my insurance company as well as to ensure I was happy with my purchase. I will definitely be back. Thanks! read more

I stopped in today because my glasses from my home eye care center had arrived with permanent marker on the lens. Even though I didn't purchase my glasses from them, they cheerfully removed the marker and even offered to adjust the fit. I've been a customer of The Eyes Have It for years. I'm convinced that I'll never go to another Eye store in Fort Collins. The technicians are always willing to adjust my glasses and are knowledgeable about different styles and types of eye wear. If you see a style that is close to what you want the technicians are willing to bring out the catalog and order a pair special for a customer. This store only sells the medium to top of the line eye wear so comparing them to the chain store isn't fair. read more

So disappointed. I found a years supply on 1800 contacts but you have to go through an optical store, and I'd come here before and had good service from them so I called them to be my liaison. The guy told me the price, and I said "well I found it for $50 cheaper on 1800 contacts so I think I'll go through them" and the guy was quiet for a second and then goes "ok fine we'll match the price" which kind of felt shady, like they weren't going to tell me that, but I thought "ok that's fine thanks." He ran the card for the original amount but told me they'd be sending me a rebate for $50. I said cool. So I wait and no rebate comes through for 3 weeks so I finally go in and ask about it. Home girl? Rude right off the bat. I tell her the situation and she says there's nothing she can do even though I have the receipt and finally after I show her on my credit card transactions where they charged me she obliges and gives me $35 back. So at this point it's only a $15 difference but they've been shady 2 times so I'm over it. They've been great for eye exams before and I'm sure their glasses are good, but honestly if youre getting contacts, just go through 1800 contacts and call it a day. They even have an app now. I stopped in to buy a set of $220 sunglasses but the lady (dark hair and glasses) was obviously annoyed that I had disrupted her day on the computer and it was clear she only wanted to get back to doing what she was doing prior to my coming in. I went in more than two weeks ago to get some sunglasses. They told me that they make them there (not true apparently) and that I'd have them in a day or two. More than a week rolls by and they say that there was an issue getting my prescription from the doctor, I'll have them in a few more days. I get another call, there is a defect in the lenses. More waiting. I finally stop by today (they hadn't called me this time). They had my glasses, but the lenses were an ugly red color that clashed with the blue frames and made me look like a creeper. I specifically ordered grey lenses, similar to the ones on display. It will be at least another 7-8 days until I get them. Should I just ask for a refund for the $267? read more

The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. We went in for a pair of prescription sport glasses for mountain biking with a transitions-tinting lens. They had the best selection from the two or three places we looked. The order was delayed because of an issue on the manufacturer's side, but the Eyes Have It staff were very helpful in calling for updates and were overly apologetic for the wait (even though it was not their fault!). My husband and I, along with our 2 1/2 yr old son and friend visiting from Arizona, had just left the ice cream parlor across street when we saw this store. I wanted to stop in because my son had just broken my favorite pair of Oakley sunglasses. I was perusing the Oakley display when I was asked if I needed any assistance. I explained my circumstances and how I had tried to bring my broken glasses to one of the Oakley stores in Denver, but the store wouldn't/couldn't help me. The gentleman asked to see my sunglasses which were in the car parked 7 blocks away. He waited patiently while my husband ran back to the car to get them. He looked at the glasses and informed me that it's possible he may not be able to fix them, but would give it a try considering I can't wear them as they are anyway. Oh boy was I thrilled when he came back and had fixed them! These were 3 year old sunglasses that are no longer made by Oakley. I asked him what I owed for the repair and he said, "nothing." I had to do something, so I gave him a hug as my form of payment instead. It seems silly to be so happy and excited over a fixed pair of sunglasses, but it really did make my day. I wish I had gotten his name, but in all of my excitement and amazement I forgot to ask. This really was such a kind thing to do. Something as simple as this really helps to put some faith back into humanity! Thank you kind gentleman at Eyes Have It. I must say as a new customer of The Eyes Have It I was a little less than pleased. Having visited and being seen by countless optometrists over the years my customer service experience here was sub-par. My current optometrist highly recommended the doctor and staff noting that he would be sympathetic to my legal blindness without glasses (aka coke bottle plus thickness). Upon first entering the shop the lady at the desk seemed annoyed I was there and was not friendly or really helpful. When presenting her with my choice of frames I hoped we could discuss if my lenses would fit in the frames, if the shape (square) would have distortions my prescription due to the lens dimensions, etc... In attempting to talk to her she merely said well we can do the compressed lenses (which I usually get) and that was it. No explanation as to the technology they use, the coating on the lenses, nothing. When paying $195 dollars for the lenses alone due to my prescription....I expect a little more of a 'wine and dine' experience not a date at McDonald's. As you can imagine I cannot see anything without the aid of glasses or contacts. That being said I get anxious when I am rendered virtually blind due to a lack of glasses. Although, I do have contacts I have a congenital eye disorder called nystagmus that makes wearing contacts for over 8+ hours very taxing on my eyes and so I rely on glasses when my eyes are tired. It has now been 3 weeks and counting and my glasses are still unavailable. In my 30+ years' experience with eye professionals it is standard practice to call and update customers if their prescription is backordered, late, unavailable, etc....when you stated they would be ready in a week. In addition to this, although I have called numerous times and they say "oh they will be ready on Wed. I'll call you" I received no call as an update that in fact no the lenses are not in, the technician was not able to get to them today, etc... While I can understand why on my last call the lady on the phone, Patricia, sounded annoyed that I kept checking in on my glasses; I would not have had to keep calling if I had received a phone call saying "Oh well no in fact they will not be ready as we previously stated it will be a few more additional days due to: these reasons. Other than these reasons, if you are looking for a vast selection of frames and sunglasses, are willing to wait a while for your order to be ready, are pretty self-sufficient or have a low power lens that do not require a lot of thought as to optimal lens shape, and do not mind annoyed to slightly rude customer service.....The EYES HAVE IT is the place for you!!! read more

one of, if not the most unprofessional business ive been to. Just moved to fort collins and needed to get a new script for contacts so I make an appt to go in. Everything goes fine with the Dr and when I get done I tell the lady working the counter I just want my script so I can order from 1800contacts. She reluctantly goes and gets me one from the Dr and then later that night when I try to order them online it turns out the script she wrote wasnt even complete. So a rep from 1800contacts calls the office to get the rest of the script and the Dr wont give it to her so no contacts. The next day the Dr calls and apologizes and explains he has to see the contacts on my eyes first to make sure they fit and wait for the trail pairs to come in and then he will take a look at them. Ok sounds reasonable. Trail contacts come in and I go to get them, and without hesitation the same lady asks me if Id like to order the contacts now and I look at her and ask if the Dr wants to see them on my eyes? Thats the point of all this right! So I make another appt and something comes up to where I cant get there the day of my next appt so I call and tell her the contacts feel great so far but I cant make it in so I need to reschedule. She tells me if they feel great well we can just go ahead and order them up. WTF! That has been this places point of contention all along that the doctor needs to see them on my eyes. So against my better judgement I continue to give this keystone cops operation the benefit of the doubt and go ahead and order the contacts. So today the contacts have arrived and I go to pick them up. Low and behold she ordered the wrong contacts! So I ask for the script and im disgusted and will order them from someone else. Again she gives me an uncompleted script and I explain to her thats not correct and I need her to fill it out correctly. Finally she does her job and im on my way.. No apology, no explanation, no nothing. Total joke of business read more
