On the back exterior of a commercial building that features several other murals on each side of the building this one boasts the words muddy roots across the top along with a woman in a hat. Not quite sure if muddy roots is a musical act that I'm not familiar with or if this is just an overall homage to the cities rich music history. Either way this is a cool piece that is massive and well done. Has good usage of shading and makes the mural really stick out.

Located just southwest of downtown between midtown and broadway, The Gulch is an expansive, but equally quaint part of the city that is classic mixed use of residential and retail. Main reason you may find me in The Gulch is for food. There is a solid variety of eateries from local casual spots to more established dining, sandwich shops and even a few spots for dessert. While that's my reason, most tourists find their way to The Gulch for the famous wing mural next to Biscuit Love. Got to get them wings while in Nashville! Outside of the food and wings, there are lots of local and chain businesses and services in the area including self-care, medical offices and of course clothing boutiques. Additionally, Noble Park is in the middle of The Gulch. It's a really cool urban space that features a good green space, seating, music and a water wall. It is also host to markets and small events throughout the year. Parking is plentiful in The Gulch, buts its all paid. There are garages, lots and street parking. Overall, The Gulch is a cool area of the city that I don't find myself in too often, but when I do, I always enjoy it!

It's cash only and $25 per car, and honestly, it's well worth it. They've been doing this for over 40 years, and it truly shows in the care and detail put into the display. The lights are amazing--they mention over 4 million lights, and it's breathtaking to drive through. You tune your radio to their station and enjoy Christmas music perfectly synced as you make your way along the route. Make sure to dim your headlights for the full effect--it really enhances the experience. A must-do stop is for their hot chocolate and cinnamon bread. Hands down, it's the best I've ever had and adds such a cozy touch to the evening. Kids would absolutely love this place, especially with the fun surprises sprinkled throughout the drive. While there were a lot of people, everything felt well organized, festive, and joyful. It's located off Highway 109, making it easy to find. If you're looking for an alternative to the crowded dancing Christmas lights at the fairgrounds, this is a fantastic option that's equally well done. A beautiful, heartwarming holiday experience and a Christmas tradition I highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone wanting to soak in the magic of the season.

They have hot cocoa etc that you can buy part way through. There were also live animals, Frosty and a Grinch. Mr. and Mrs. Claus made an appearance too. There were multiple nativity sets. Jesus is the reason after all. Lots to see, so dont be afraid to take your time. Some tips, make a Christmas Playlist. We tried the radio one, but I am not a huge chipmunks fan, haha.

Features what I'd describe as late 80s Cartoon style art with an Angel and some strange Star Wars camel looking animal On it. Overall we had a blast discovering all the cool Nashville public art pieces. Some like this one was weirder than others but still overall very fun.

In the summer of 2022 me and my buddy Jeremy visited downtown Nashville for and event. While in the downtown area we explored the numerous offerings that downtwon Nashville has to offer. The capitol gorunds had numerous great works inlcluding this piece! An ode to the south by former Tennessee senator Edward carmack. I'm not too familiar with the person or his work but this appears to be important to the folks of Nashville as the liniment is rather large and well done. Overall it is always cool to discover and learn more about a town or cities history and public art is a fantastic avenue to do so.

The very same building pretty much features a different mural on each exterior wall it has but this one is by far my favorite on that building and sticks out the most.
