We live in Crittenden now, but I still make the trip to see Dr. Huesing. The office has always gotten us in quickly and the prices are very reasonable. He won me over when my kids were toddlers and we got a puppy from the pound. Two days after we got him home he started getting sick and was diagnosed with Parvo. We couldn't afford a huge vet bill and, long story short, Dr. Huesing kept the puppy at his office for 2 nights and gave the puppy medicine. He only charged me $30 for the medicine when the time came to put him out of his misery. He can be a little gruff at times, but it's only when he thinks you are doing something that is not in the best interest of your pet. He will tell you what he thinks, which I appreciate. I've tried other vets closer to home at times through the years, but I never cared for any of them as much as Dr. Huesing. His years of experience have made him very knowledgeable and I'm sure he's seen it all. His staff has been with him just about as long and they are wonderful as well.

Erlanger Veterinary Hospital answered and was completely polite and respectful of me crying about a turtle that was not my pet. They said to bring him in and they would help the poor little guy. That says a lot about the practice and the people that work there. Showing true compassion for all animals. If I didn't live so far away, I would absolutely take my animals there.

Mitchell for weakness but came home disabled, and he was totally incontinent within 48 hours of his initial visit with Dr. Kellner. The only attempt at empathy from this office was a cheap plant: I spent over $1,000 for that initial visit, and then I spent another $1,000 to put him to sleep, but all I received was a cheap plant--no phone call from a human.

All three of our pets have now had their first annual visits at this practice and we've been very impressed with the care and attention they've received. Dr. Turner in particular really impressed me with his gentle demeanor and the time he spent with our kitty yesterday. He seemed generally interested in understanding her personality and he's the first vet to suggest a potential solution for the chronically cracked dry nose she experiences says every winter. Then she looks at him and tells me it's ring worm and it's a fungal infection but oh we need to do another test which the results won't come back for 5 days in the mean time just use anti fungal cream from cvs. None of those tests were medically necessary. I also said I didn't want him vaccinated that day because he's fighting an infection (you're not supposed to vaccinate children or animals if they're fighting an infection) and I could tell she did not like me saying no. She's not a vet. She's a scam artist. $180 to tell me just to use a $7 cream from CVS. If she actually cared about animals, she would have come in, examined him, told me I needed a cream and if it didn't work come back for more testing and make sure to come back for vaccines when he's healthy again.

I suspected a UTI, and I visited on a Saturday. I was told they can't test on a Saturday since the sample can't sit in the office for the weekend. Was told my cat is stressed and I need to play with her more. Unfortunately, the issue has continued about a month later, and I called to request to stop by for just the urine sample on a week day, was told I would need to pay for an entire new exam since it's been over a month since she was seen. Since I have already paid for her to be seen with this same issue, I find it to be a ripoff to charge me again for the same issue. I did not want to see a vet, just have her urine tested and that's all. We will no longer be taking any of our pets here, and I recommend you do the same. On the surface, their prices seem much more affordable, but once in the building, they charge you for just about everything, and it is easier to find a higher quality experience for just about the same out the door price. Would not recommend taking your pets to this practice. Unfriendly and quite rude staff, as well as vets who would rather not diagnose or deal with your issues.

I mentioned this in the client satisfaction survey and he promptly refused to see me anymore because, as the office manager explained, he was "offended" that I expressed my dissatisfaction. Office manager said this had been an ongoing problem with him. He seems like a "head case", inappropriately complaining about his ex wife at multiple appointments (am I supposed to care about that?) and making other off color comments, most memorable was a racial crack about professional athletes. Seems like a wounded soul.
