My dog needed a visit to the puppy ER on a Friday night, and we were only given enough meds until Monday when we were advised to go to our regular vet. I called on Saturday morning, and they were easily able to give me an appointment on Monday. When we arrived the desk staff were very kind and courteous. I didn't even have enough time to fill out my "new patient" information paperwork before I was taken back to the exam room. We got there early, so our tech, Rian, gave us a tour of the hospital while we waited, which I thought was great - I've never had a vet office do that before. Rian was super nice and friendly and took great care of my dog. The vet we saw was Tony Schumann, who did a great job as well! He gave my dog a very full and thorough exam, even though we were only there for him to check on the staples my dog received for a laceration. He was very kind and friendly. We go back to get the staples removed in about a week, but I will be continuing to go here forever. I also thought the cost was very reasonable - I paid about $75 for the full exam and a week's worth of antibiotics. I have nothing but praise for this great facility!

Only to find someone had ran over the front part of his shell and head. Completely devastated I called a few vets to see if someone could help euthanize him so he wouldn't suffer. Erlanger Veterinary Hospital answered and was completely polite and respectful of me crying about a turtle that was not my pet. They said to bring him in and they would help the poor little guy. That says a lot about the practice and the people that work there. Showing true compassion for all animals. If I didn't live so far away, I would absolutely take my animals there.

We have been clients of PetVet365 for four years and love them! After moving to the area 12 years…read moreago, we had two horrendous experiences with another vet and lost two of our dogs after care at that vet. (After boarding one of them, he died in my arms an hour after picking him up. They didn't notice that he was in respiratory distress. Just thought he was "nervous.") As you can imagine, we were very wary of looking for another vet. Thankfully, we tried PetVet365 and have been very pleased with them ever since. Over the last four years, we have rescued two dogs and had two still from when we moved here. Sadly, one passed due to age and heart issues that he had had all his life. PetVet365 managed his cardiac meds for several years until he passed at age 15 and 9 mos. However, one of the rescues was adopted as a puppy, and PetVet365 even helped socialize him until he was old enough to socialize in other environments. They welcomed our second rescue with open arms at the age of two. She had her semi-annual visit today, and she thought she was at a play date! Even our 16 1/2 year old chihuahua, who can be grumpy with anyone not her family, loves them! Their hours are so convenient for us because we work during the week. They always follow up to see how the patient is doing after a visit or procedure, which I greatly appreciate, having been in the medical field for 40 years myself. One item that I would note is that just like in human doctors' offices, you have medical practices and you have urgent care. You wouldn't walk into a doctor's office where you are not a patient and expect to be seen. You would need to establish care. That is not to say that they absolutely don't take walk-ins because I have seen people bring in a dog that they found and they scanned the dog for a microchip. That being said, if you're part of the wellness plan, they can be reached by text after hours, which is quite helpful. One of our dogs was on a prescription diet for urinary issues and that can be pricey. We got his diet through Chewy and never had a problem with getting his prescription for us to mail in ourselves. Also, we take their flea and tick meds to Costco where the price is the lowest. Again, never a problem to get that Rx in hand. No attitude whatsoever. When we brought up the diet after he had been on it for awhile, Dr. Smith gave us her blessing to wean him off of that and put him on regular diet to see how he does. We love this practice and would recommend to anyone looking for a vet!

ZERO STARS While they are friendly and seem helpful BEWARE!…read moreI strongly advise getting a second opinion and a price quote before proceeding with any major testing or treatments at PetVet365 Florence, specifically with Dr. Carson. My experience here felt less about my dog's health and more about upcharging at every opportunity. During our visit, the vet stated her main concern was a potential thyroid issue and recommended the more expensive "send-out" blood work and urinalysis because it would allow them to "see more." When the results came back, I was told the only abnormalities were elevated cholesterol and liver enzymes, and they immediately pushed for an $800 abdominal ultrasound as the next step. (thyroid is in the neck btw but they wanted to scan the lower abdomen) Because we had just paid a massive bill for the initial testing and fees(almost 800), we paused on the ultrasound. When I explicitly asked what the blood work showed about his thyroid, I was shocked to find out that a thyroid panel was never actually run. Even though it was their primary concern, they excluded it from the expensive panel and then wanted to charge me an additional $78 to do it much later, completely ignoring the fact that elevated cholesterol and liver enzymes are classic signs of a thyroid problem. Meanwhile my dog is deteriorating fast and barely able to function at all and they knew this. To make matters worse, there was a completely unacceptable medication switch. Without clear communication, they swapped out the medication refill I specifically asked for through text for a significantly more expensive one. At this point it felt like a deliberate attempt to get more money out of us and there was really no excuse for this mistake as the meds were not even named close to the same and they had it in black and white so they didn't hear or see incorrectly. We immediately took our dog to a different clinic for a second opinion. This vet listened, ran the correct tests immediately, and definitively diagnosed his thyroid problem within 48 hours so she could start the right medication. The most shocking part? The next vet performed all the same tests--including the ultrasound and the specific thyroid test--for less than half of what Dr. Carson and PetVet365 were trying to charge us just for the ultrasound alone. If you go here, double-check your itemized bills, verify exactly what tests are being run before they draw blood, and do not be afraid to walk away and seek care elsewhere. *Also fyi if you keep searching on here you will find many such reviews that are just buried and I am sure they will give the standard response that sounds like they did the right thing as they did to the others that dared to call this out. I assure you they did not. Save your money and more importantly the life of your pet and go to another place.

We've been to a couple animal clinics in the NKY area, but had been disappointed in the office hours/"bedside manner" of some of the other vets around. Fortunately Dr. Golatsky and the wonderful staff at Edgewood Animal Clinic have taken really great care of both us and our pets when we needed them. You can tell Dr. Golatsky really loves animals and what she does, even when someone's cat is growling at her unmercifully (not my cat, of course). The staff is always so sweet and friendly, they have extended hours several days a week, and their prices are usually pretty good. Sometimes the wait to be seen can be long, but that's only because the doctor takes her time with each patient and doesn't hurry, and the only thing keeping me from giving them a full five star rating. They've opened up a new location (further down Dixie Highway, next to the Erlanger Kroger) and it is a massive improvement in terms of space and parking compared to their previous spot. As much as my cat dislikes going to see her, he'll be going to see Dr. Golatsky & Co. from here on out!

The person who answered the phone must have thought that she was the veterinarian. I inquired as to why a heart worm test was needed annually if my dogs were on heart worm medicine all year. She must have taken this question very personal because she became very condescending. And said its our policy and its very necessary then asked how I could be giving them their heart worm medicine because when my dogs were seen last year there was none prescribed by her office. I said (having not checked the medicine) I replied "Well they've been taking it and we will keep getting it from wherever we are getting it from." Then she tried to educate me about how dangerous it was to obtain medicine from third parties and continued to talk down to me as if I am stupid. And I said well I think I know how to care for my dogs and make sure they have what they need. I am a nurse so no worries. She then said in a sarcastic tone, "Oh you're a nurse so you know what your doing, oh ok." As for the medicine I would never do anything illegal I am a nurse. I just wasn't sure where my partner had picked up the meds from because I didn't take them to their last appointment and just simply wasn't sure. But we certainly make sure they get their medicine. I felt like it was a valid question why test for something that they are taking preventative medicine for to begin with. I made an appointment with another veterinarian and called her back to let her know and told her that her lack of professionalism and sarcastic and condescending remarks were simply unacceptable. She then proceeded to tell me that I was sarcastic as well which she is right. I reminded her that I am the customer not the so called professional. I said I am the customer I am allowed to be sarcastic. To which she replied "OHHH your the customer, you're allowed to be sarcastic." And I said yes exactly "You need me, I don't need you." I then requested to speak to her supervisor only to be put on hold for 5 minutes and she came back with "My supervisor is too busy to speak with you, she will have to call you back." I asked for her supervisors name and she said. "Uh The Doctor is my supervisor." I just checked the label and in fact I have the prescription in hand from her office. The fact that her incompetence of not knowing that her office had in fact prescribed and filled the heartworm medicine and accuse me of not giving them that medicine proves to me that my animals do not need to be seen by such unprofessional and disrespectful staff. I told the new Veterinarians office that my dogs would need a refill of their heartworm medicine and a heartworm test. And to my surprise without mentioning it she replied, as long as you are giving them their heartworm meds there is no need to test for heartworms. The Doctor doesn't feel it is necessary. How Ironic. I would recommend this Veterinarian to others, if your animal is in urgent need and they are the last place on earth.

Set appointment for Saturday following vaccine schedule. The Saturday of his appointment their office decided to close. I spoke to store manager who told me they only rented the space the Banfield and that the vets office told them there were no appointments that day. No one called to cancel or let me know they've decided to close. Their website lists them open on Sunday but they're not. They make their hours by what's convenient and meanwhile I'm stuck with an over 500 bill and all I've gotten is one booster shot. I emailed Banfield cares over 2 weeks ago and still no response. My charges are in photo below. I did not ask for a fecal exam and stated he had one recent that was negative. I was charged for it and a wormer but also shows in his labs he was negative. He is 14 years old and in need of seeing a doctor, but her main concern was not about his wellbeing, but about how she is put out by having him there and having to care for him. "We have to muzzle him every time and he bites us and poops on the floor". We have been told that he "nips", but never been told he actually has bitten someone. I'm sorry, but some dogs are extremely nervous at the vet and may behave in challenging ways, but if you are a PROFESSIONAL trained correctly, you are able to deal with said behaviors. I'm shocked, appalled and incredibly saddened by this employee's actions. She should not be working with animals if she doesn't have compassion, empathy or fondness for them. NEVER take your pet there! I left with my dog because I had no confidence in Susan and feared he would be mistreated. Have to give one star in order to review, but Bansfield Florence and Susan deserve ZERO!
