I had an extremely troubling experience at this facility and have serious concerns about the level of care provided. My pet's condition was not treated with the urgency or attention it warranted, and I felt that patient well-being was secondary to collecting payment and moving clients out quickly. This lack of attentiveness put my pet at risk. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone who values thorough, compassionate, and responsible veterinary care. I have been bringing my pets here for over ten years now, and have been extremely disappointed as of recently. I brought my cat in for some sort of urinary problem back in August. I suspected a UTI, and I visited on a Saturday. I was told they can't test on a Saturday since the sample can't sit in the office for the weekend. Was told my cat is stressed and I need to play with her more. Unfortunately, the issue has continued about a month later, and I called to request to stop by for just the urine sample on a week day, was told I would need to pay for an entire new exam since it's been over a month since she was seen. Since I have already paid for her to be seen with this same issue, I find it to be a ripoff to charge me again for the same issue. I did not want to see a vet, just have her urine tested and that's all. We will no longer be taking any of our pets here, and I recommend you do the same. On the surface, their prices seem much more affordable, but once in the building, they charge you for just about everything, and it is easier to find a higher quality experience for just about the same out the door price. Would not recommend taking your pets to this practice. Unfriendly and quite rude staff, as well as vets who would rather not diagnose or deal with your issues. read more

I think they manage a huge operation very well. Vets, techs and desk staff are all very professional. It's obvious that everyone there loves animals. They helped us through a very difficult terminal dog illness in the past, and they have provided excellent support for over a decade for our 12 year old dog. The online check in system works pretty well in our experience. It isn't precise of course, but it is a very effective tool for managing my time on a vet visit day. read more

Hopefully, they'll eventually come up with a better way of connecting long term clientele, and their pets, with Noah's Ark Veterinarians. However, today's visit for an annual physical exam of my seven year old Labrador Retriever was a 100% improvement over last year. Doctor Khan, DVM, entered the room and immediately established a relationship with the dog; before laying hands on him. I've used the clinic for my dog for the past 6 months and was always satisfied with price and service. However on my visit today for a nail trim, I was told the clinic will only provide that service if I enroll in their Wellness Plan. For my pet that would be $600/year. So a previously $18 nail trim would have cost me $618 today. And the wellness plan does not cover illness or medication. I refuse to enroll in the plan in order to get services for my pet. They said this is for your dog's health, but the way they they presented it to me (a forced choice) I think it's more of a revenue plan for the clinic. I talk to the girls at front desk. they told me the vet went to lunch. i thought she went to lunch? I have been a returning cat mom to this vet and me and my husband absolutely love this place we had a three year old male cat with crystals in his bladder they took great care of we have a almost 9 Year old cat with kidney stones and a very backed up tummy they took great care of we also had a nine month old kitten that had a umbilical hernia they fixed that when they spayed her they also stayed all of my male cats and all of my female we also had another cat that got fixed at another place but then when we adopted her it turned out she had an infection from the other place that that spider so we took her to Noah's ark and they gave her medication took great care of her cleared all of that up all of our cats are on revolution plus too so they take care of all of that and then we had recently a new little kitten that we took in he had a it was starting to get an upper respiratory infection they took fantastic care of him and we continue to take them all there I have been taking our oldest cat there he's almost nine now so for almost 9 years I have never had a problem they've all received excellent care and they are the only vet that our cats see we love them our cats go yearly to get their vaccinations every year anytime they're sick we take them there they always are happy to see us and take such great care of our cats they get their revolution plus there monthly and like I said it's just a really great place to take any of your animals they're very friendly very nice and they really do care so thank you Noah's ark for all you do for the butler pets Casper Kendall Lily Zoe y and Elmo say thank you so much read more

We took our cat to get his teeth cleaned and he had to have test done first. We had a quote given to us and we agreed. The day before his cleaning Noah's Ark sent us a contract consent form and once again we agreed and signed it. When we brought him for his cleaning they wanted to raise the quote, but they already accepted our signed contract and agreed to the original quote. Later that day they claimed that we couldn't come to pick him up yet because he was running a fever. We came over to see him and we told them we wanted to take him home. They agreed and let us, we took his temp when we got home and it was normal. I just went in for our dog's annual checkup and they said I would have to pay a balance from our cat's cleaning before they would look at him even though he was on their Wealth Plan. $559.68 a year. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Noah's Ark Animal Clinics is the most unprofessional, dishonest, immoral and inhumane animal clinic I've ever come in contact with. Here's my complete experience: ​On April 15th, 2020, my cat, Coal, needed emergency surgery as he ate a bunch of plastic Easter grass a few days before and showing symptoms of an intestinal blockage (constant throwing up, loss of appetite, and no bowel movement for a few days). I made the decision to take him to Noah's Ark in Ft. Wright knowing they took walk-ins and my cat needed to be seen ASAP. ​We arrived at our appointment at Noah's Ark and Dr. Travis Koopmans looked at Coal and took some X-Rays and determined that Coal needed surgery. From my understanding Dr. Koopmans did not perform the surgery, he just examined Coal. Dr. Kassandra Ernst was the one who performed the surgery and was also the surgeon that talked to me about how the surgery went when it was finished. Dr. Ernst performed a basic surgery on Coal on April 15th, 2020. ​That same night Coal came back home with me. The next morning, April 16th, 2020, I noticed multiple stitches had come out and some were still in Coal, but very loose. I called Pet Wellness Group in Florence to see if Dr. Wilson could get Coal in to stitch his incision back up and fix the loose stitches. Pet Wellness Group was able to get me in right away. My dog has been going to Dr. Wilson since he was two months old so I knew I could trust them. Once Dr. Wilson took a look at the stitches on Coals incision she called me (I stayed outside in my car due to COVID-19) and informed me that the stitches on Coal's incision were meant for incisions on the inside of your body and not the outside and the stitches were not knotted right. Dr. Wilson had to put Coal back under with anesthesia and remove the stitches and staple Coal's incision. To correct the wrong stitches that Noah's Ark put in and knotted wrong, I had to pay $261.61 the next day after his surgery at Noah's Ark. ​Coal was scheduled to get his staples out with Dr. Wilson at Pet Wellness Group on April 30th, 2020. We got to our appointment with Dr. Wilson on the 30th and once Dr. Wilson took a look at his incision she gave me a call. The incision on the outside was not healing right. Dr. Wilson took a few staples out and looked at the incision on his abdomen to find that Noah's Ark put stitches meant for the outside of your body on his incision on his abdomen. This would explain why the incision on the outside was not healing correctly. We scheduled surgery with Dr. Wilson at Pet Wellness Group the next day, May 1st, 2020 to fix this. ​Once Dr. Wilson opened coal up during surgery she found multiple things that were done wrong by Dr. Ernst at Noah's Ark. To name some: Dr. Ernst put the wrong stitches on the inside and outside of Coal's body, Dr. Ernst did not close Coal's abdomen incision all the way, how things were sutured were completely wrong, wrong layers were closed, and there was a lot of dead tissue that Dr. Wilson had to remove due to the stitches. Dr. Wilson is willing to explain everything that she found during the surgery on May 1st, 2020, and provide records. The balance of the second surgery to fix Dr. Ernst's botched surgery is $541.02. ​I paid Noah's Ark $1,131.30 for the basic surgery that Dr. Ernst performed and botched on my cat. Noah's Ark also gave me Cerenia for Coal and the box of the medicine said clearly on it "only for DOGS' Coal is a cat. It is very concerning to me that Dr. Ernst botched a basic surgery on Coal and worries me about her performing more surgeries and difficult ones in the future on other animals. ​I have paid a total of $802.63 to fix the botches surgery that Dr. Ernst at Noah's Ark performed. I'm in the hole $1,933.93 altogether. I finally was able to get ahold of the front desk manager to try and resolve the issue. The front desk manager said she was going to talk to the medical examiner and I would either get a call back from her or the medical examiner for an update. A couple weeks have gone by and I have not heard back. read more

First time visiting there in several years. In 2015, I had 2- 16-year-old sister cats I took in for their vaccines, and wellness checks. 6 months later, they died 5 weeks apart from each other. Since then, I adopted another cat. I took her for a wellness visit, and 3 days after the visit, she now has an Upper Respiratory Infection. Take the money and see as many animals as possible. No feedback from a vet, take the money and wait four hours. I basically did pet Web MD myself and got a second opinion. Ruptured anal glands , infection, hookworms but was continuously being put on prednisone and everything was supposedly "ok". So I sat down and waited another 5 minutes, while two were bickering about something on the computer...So I tried to ask another person in blue scrub (tech..) for help, she gave me a smirk and said they will be with you and looked at me like I was crazy. Ok cold shoulders now and wondering eyes lol. So I decide to acting like I was leaving; only going out to get my lease, came back in and all of a sudden I was helped lol-Then waited and waited and waited- My dog had healed by then and I canceled and walked out. The vet and vet techs assured me they would be extremely delicate and supportive of my little guy. If you treat your animal like a member of your family, or you care about its general health and well-being, my strongest advice would be to stay away from this place (also known as Noah's Ark Animal Clinic). I came here for my dog's neuter because it was paid for through the company from which I adopted him. I was originally shocked at the lack of professionalism and cleanliness when I came in for the appointment. The lady who took my dog looked like she hasn't bathed in a week. Her scrubs were dirty, and her teeth were rotted and mostly missing. They used regular old stitches for the neuter instead of modern-day absorbable or dissolving sutures, which means I had to make a second trip back to get them removed. My second trip back, I felt uneasy even driving to the place. I knew beforehand that I wanted my dog to see a different veterinarian, but felt obligated to go to this location to have the sutures removed. When we came into the office, it looked dirty as it did before. However this time, there was a giant puddle of bloody urine on the floor in front of the check-in desk. Despite the fact that there were several hillbilly associates walking aimlessly around it, no one bothered to clean it up. One person did manage to throw a "Caution: Wet Floor" sign over it before sitting back down though. That was helpful. The veterinarian that we saw had some sort of skin issue, and there were irritations and fresh sores up and down both arms. I did not feel comfortable with her lack of knowledge when I asked her questions regarding the puppy, or honestly with her touching the puppy at all. When I started to ask her a question, she would talk over me to her vet assistant as if I wasn't even there, or what I had to say was irrelevant. Of course she tried to upsell me before I left the office, and talked me into getting Trifexis for my puppy. After getting home and giving him his pill, he slept the rest of the evening. Around 2am he had awful diarrhea, and shortly after he was violently vomiting. After doing research on that pill, it seems as if a lot of pet owners have issues with it and it has awful side effects. I also feel like the pill she gave me was for a bigger weight class than what my dog is in. Had I known he would be that sick, I would have gone with Frontline or some other OTC medication. I hope with sincere concern that you find some other establishment to take your animals, because I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I am absolutely livid!! This place is so incompetent I will never EVER go there again! My kitten was spayed and declawed. I was given pain medication in syringes and was instructed to give to her twice a day. After about a day of giving her pain meds, she was still agitated and couldn't sleep. I looked at her syringes that still had medicine and noticed that the medicine was NOT drawn up correctly. There was still air in syringe. The liquid level should be filled to the top since some liquid will be trapped in the tip of the syringe. I placed the plunger where the liquid is at the top and there was NOTHING LEFT in the barrel of the syringe. My poor kitten wasn't getting ANY of her pain medicine!!! No wonder she was agitated. how would you feel if part of your insides were ripped out and had no medication to reduce the pain? That's animal cruelty! I had to put water in it (about a ml) just so she can have some of her pain meds tonight. I left a message to the pharmacy and asked what her dosage is supposed to be and that no medicine comes out when pushed the plunger all the way through. I got a call back stating her dosage is supposed to be .06ml but didn't say anything about her not being able to get any of her medicine. So I went back for them to get the correct dosage. They went back to the pharmacist on duty to check them out. After a while, they came back stating they were fine. I checked the syringes and it was the same thing. There was air inside the syringe. After I took out the air, dosage was only .01. I told them that there can't be any air in the syringe and especially the tip since it gets trapped in there. Well..... After the 3rd time of going in the back, I finally received the accurate amount of medicine. I changed my rate to a 2star because of Marissa. She was the nice lady at the front desk who was very patient and sincere. She seemed to be the only person to understand what I was trying to show. On the third try she said she made sure there was no air and did a fantastic job and at .06ml. I hope the staff learns from this that when measuring medication in a syringe, no air should be in it. read more

I agree with the first review, these guys don't seem to understand drugs mixtures with phenobarbital. My dog began having seizures last year and had had three seizures in the last year. She was taking phenobarbital regularly (2x/day). I took her here for diarrehea and the meds they gave her directly affect the metabolism of the phenobarbital. She was panting and continued to have diarrhea because of the combo, not to mention she wasn't absorbing her seizure meds...then she had cluster seizures and had 4 seizures in just as many hours. They knew she was on the pheno when they prescribed the meds for her diarrhea, they even ran her pheno levels at the same visit. Needless to say, I blame them for the three weeks she was sick followed by the cluster seizures she had. read more

I have been taking my dogs here since I first got them which was a little over 5 years ago. The good thing is that they are cheap. The bad thing is that they are almost always busy If you go in the mornings, you won't have that long of a wait, but if you go in the afternoon or on the weekend then you're pretty much guaranteed to have a horrible wait. I've here 3-4 hours before, multiple times. Another thing I think they could do better would be to send out reminders when shots are due. I guess since the location is pretty convenient and the price is decent, I have yet to leave.I definitely plan on it though especially after my last ordeal I went through. My dogs may have eaten something bad for them that they found in the yard so I had to have blood work done & of course this place doesn't have a lab so I had to go to the Colerain location. I ended up having to go up there 3 different times in one week. If your pet doesn't have a serious medical condition, you most likely won't run into this issue... but if an emergency comes up this is really inconvenient. read more

I took my dog in for a spay due to pyometra. Picked her up at 730 p.m.. and by 9 she was dead. 943$ for them to murder my pit. I suspected something was wrong when she wasn't walking after the surgery like they said she would. I just thought it was the Anastesia. Put her in the car on a big bed pillow. When I got home picked her up with bed n all n laid her down. I drove carefully home avoiding fast turns or speed bumps. So basically she was in the exact same condition she was in when she left. And an hour later shes dead !!!! Are there any lawyers out there and people who've had the same experience so we can file a class action lawsuit against this place.. ????? Both of our girls got fleas, so we brought them in on a Monday night around 6:45 pm. We were checked in by the front desk receptionist, who said that it would be a 30-40 min wait, tops. We waited for about an hour, and multiple people walked in and out, were taken back, seen and checked out. We were still waiting. So I asked the lady what was going on, and she said that the girl who checked us in was new, and that she didn't put us on the other list to be seen, so now we still had a 40 minute wait! On top of it, she was very rude. I have been bringing my dogs here since 1999. No longer. This place has REALLY gone down hill since then. And the staff appear to not know what their doing half the time. I am still waiting, and currently it's 7:55. Over an hour, and we still have about a 40 minute wait on top of that. When I brought my cat in to be declawed earlier this week, she was perfectly happy and healthy. However, now she is wheezing/coughing and seems to have a "cold". I called the clinic to ask if they have any idea what this could be, because clearly this is not a side effect of declawing (this is not stress related coughing), but they said I would have to come in and pay for another appointment! I'm too afraid to bring her back in because I don't know what other sicknesses she could get. Honestly, I would just avoid this place all together. The absolute worst run clinic in Northern Kentucky. We received a forced email telling us our dog needed a vaccine. Now, mind you, we have been going to this clinic for years. My wife made an appointment to fill some meds and get the required vaccine and when she sat in the parking lot for two hours, she was told she needed to see a vet. BS.!!!!!! We have spent several thousand dollars at this clinic and this is the way they treat us. I' m pissed and am now going to find another vet. One that is professionally run. Not one that makes excuses for their inability to conduct business in a professional manner. I spoke to the office manager Alyssa?) and all she could offer was excuses for the two hour wait. Only bad thing is one of our dogs is dying of cancer and now we'll have to put her through the pain of travel to be seen by a new vet. DAMN!!!!!! Great place with caring vets and techs.These people are the only reason I still have my cat Haru. We were looking at having to give him up because his vet bills were all but breaking us. Finally after talking to the ASPCA they let us know about this place. No appointment needed, no fee just to look at him like our other vet. They took good care of my boy and worked with us financially to lower the cost of the emergency surgery they preformed which saved his life! It would've cost us twice as much anywhere else and would've ultimately meant having to surrender him. They aren't the cleanest or most organized place, but they work hard to make sure these animals get the care they need with much less funding/staff than most other places. If there's anything wrong with this place, it's that they don't have enough help. I will be taking both my pets back this summer for checkups. This place kept my family together! read more

I took my 12 week old puppy to this vet for a simple vaccination and a deworm. They put me in a solitary room, because of how young he was. Which I appreciated. Though the table had a "sanitized" sign on it, it still seemed dirty to us. We sat there for quite awhile, which is completely understandable. As, we waited I thought I would look in a drawer that was sitting open on the opposite side from us. Inside sitting among the PACKAGED needles, was an UNPACKAGED needle. I was scared that it was being reused. So I threw it away. About 20-30 minutes later the Vet arrived in the room. He told us "I have to go get the vaccine" when he returned about 10 minutes later. He had another unpackaged needle... He could have carried that needle through this whole hospital, without it covered. He should've done everything in front of us, including opening the needle and pulling the vaccine. Instead he carried an open needle through the halls of a vet, where people bring their sick dogs. Needless to say, my puppy was extremely sick the next day. Vomiting, fever and he couldn't even stand without falling. I must say it took everything in my power not to return, and give that Ver what he deserves. If you choose this vet, make sure you take every bit of what I'm saying into consideration. This year has been really tough I lost my 34 yr old bird in May. and today I had to let go of my 15 year old doggie..I want to say Thanks for taking care of my pet for 15 years...I had to make the tough decision to put her down today, but the Doctors there have always treated us like family and it made it easier on me.
