They have free parking on-site. The place is COVID protected because they have fans going on for air circulation. Make sure to make a reservation beforehand for a large group.

Took about 10 teens ... they had a blast! Music a bit loud for me and a few of them. Little pricy - something good for young people... think they should venture up to the Alderwood / Lynnwood area... we need more activity like this up there. Parking is in the back or side... not in front.

If you are a boulderer ... this is YOUR gym! Perfectly set routes for all levels. Not to mention a TON of routes to figure out. I was here climbing nonstop for about two and half hours and I never even got close to trying everything in my level. This is a great beginner's gym as I have noticed V0's on almost every wall. There are also great challenging routes that are well thought out and strategically set. Based on the dates on the cards, the routes seem to be changing quite frequently as well. Couple of restroom facilities in the gym as well as one that has a shower. There is also a full-service gym with a stair master, bike, free weights, bow flex system, stability discs, etc, which is located toward the back in a separate room. The front desk staff members were all very courteous, friendly, and attentive. Even the fellow climbers were really open and friendly in this gym (maybe I've just gotten used to the LA "mind your own business" persona). All I have to say is that I wish I lived in Seattle so I can come here everyday whether to climb or just to do some workouts in the gym. Will definitely be making a visit here anytime I am in Seattle again.

Excellent place for your kids to get their wiggles out, especially during long winters. Both my kids fully enjoy their 2 hr class, every week!

They have two levels, with the downstairs having some belaying and bouldering walls and upstairs with the overhangs.

Awesome facility. Nice and clean. Friendly staff, great procedures & amenities…read more A group of co-workers went climbing last night, with ranging skill ability. I've been to a number of climbing gyms, including dedicated bouldering places. Momentum is nice. A few notable things: 1. Safety video on your first visit. Easy and informative. 2. Hand washing station OUTSIDE of the bathrooms. Very very handy, and much more hygienic than people in bathrooms with climbing shoes on. 3. Downclimb holds are abundant with few exceptions. This made me feel safer bouldering since I'm more experienced rope climbing and don't like jumping down. The padding was nice and thick as well, without being pillow-y, if that makes any sense. 4. I would appreciate some grip bars or additional holds at the top of the bouldering section that let you more safely climb over the top. There were a few places where I had to basically throw my body onto the top in order to safely make it over (and then walk over to the downclimb sections). I suppose some of this is a skill challenge but some of it made nervous. The grading seemed pretty fair. I maxed out at V4 which I thought was pretty good. The weight lifting area is nice and I liked that there was a separate room for cardio. No comments on restrooms, classes, or the cardio equipment since I didn't use any of them.

However, we have experienced multiple negative interactions with the Manager, Jeremy Park. We felt that he selectively came out to speak with my family about policies of the gym, (other patrons were doing the same exact thing, but he did not address them about the exact same policies). We are not sure if it is because we are people of color, or just that fact that we have kids with us, but we do not feel comfortable when he is present at the gym. He single handedly makes the entire experience at the gym negative. There are many times, that we select days that he is not working so that we did not have to feel targeted, while being paid patrons at the gym with our family. We do like the other staff (we have never had any issues with any other employee) and the services that they provide. We hope this is not a consistent feeling that other families receive as well. In the future, we will be switching to another gym like bouldering project or vertical world, that is more inclusive to families. We hope this provides some insight for other families to make decisions on where they will take their children for a positive experience, so they get to love climbing as much as we do.

There's a reason why I keep coming back to Kaf guides. If you can dream it, they will help you do it! They are willing to work with you on designing the trip you want, they meet you where you are skill and fitness-wise, they are open to feedback, they are kind, patient and fair. I've been lucky to ice climb, crack climb, learn trad and rock rescue, practice avalanche rescue, and dial in my multipitch skills all with the Kaf crew. Even if you're more than just a beginner, you'll benefit from learning from highly skilled and experienced professionals whose passion for what they do is really evident. Their excitement is infectious, and you'll often find yourself in awe of their technical abilities and movement. Watching them in their element is a gift. They make sound decisions to keep you and themselves safe from the many objective dangers in the wild. They'll celebrate the smallest of wins with you, and offer encouragement and support to keep trying. I've heard that you shop for a guide, not a guide service, and this is really true once you get to know this team. Special mention to Woody who has guided me for 90% of it - about 130 hours to date! His problem-solving skills are so impressive and there is no guide I trust or respect more. And Mick who is the heart and soul of Kaf. Mick will have you smiling all through the online courses which are an excellent way to dip your toe into the world of climbing and mountaineering. I'm so excited for more adventures with Kaf in the years to come.
