Conveniently located off the highway. Happen to be in the area, checked the reviews and I decided to try the builder gel nail set. I'm particular about the health of my natural nails so this seemed like a good option. Salon: 3/5 Beautiful decor and comfortable seating. Standard Pedi and manicure booths. Neutral colors, cool lighting and soothing music. Path to the bathroom was surrounded with boxes on both sides and all kinds of mess. Bathroom itself was nice and big. Service 3/5 The first time I had a walk in with Heidi. She was personable, provided good recommendations. One downside: I later discovered some nails were uneven to the touch; not so much the appearance. For my fill, it was 10 mins. over my appointment time. No biggie however unacknowledged as well. Tou completed my fill. I preferred her gel building technique, the nails were equally layered and smooth. There was a language barrier which made it awkward at times. She was a bit rough w/the filer which she apologized yet continued to file just as rough. I had to redirect her again and my skin was red and bruised afterwards. Price 3/5 To my surprise, the fill cost was the cost of my first set $70. Fills are typically cheaper. I went to double check on their services form, the cost of a fill wasn't advertised. Leaving me to question whether they were charging as they saw fit. I base this off overhearing another interaction as well. Overall 3/5 I value personable, professionalism with transparent prices. My second nail set is beautiful and even however I don't see myself returning. read more

My overall experience was poor. The nail tech used un sanitized tools to trim and file my nails. She reused an old packet of feet scrub and lotion. The actual amount of product she used on my feet was minimal and by far not up to standard. The water was so hot it burned my feet and when I asked for cold water she looked upset. I felt like I was at a thrift shop for nails. The worst part was when she applied old/used cotton balls (they were dry and had other nail polish on it) to take my existing gel off! That was so disgusting. This approach didn't even work because she proceeded to use her electronic nail file which she had on a level that was so high that I could smell my nails burning. My class pass reservation paid the salon $80. She proceeded to charge me an extra $30 plus tax and fees and tip. I paid $130 total for the worst thrift shop nail experience. After I paid she had the audacity to tell me I was very picky. In my 30 years getting my nails done I had never had such a horrible experience. Perhaps I just got the worst nail tech. Her name was Hao Tran. Older Asian lady with light brown hair. I would not recommend this place. The place inside was small, staff not friendly, and unsanitary practices - my experience is limited to this nail tech. Perhaps others are better, but this lady was not good. She took too long, did not communicate upfront additional costs, did not remove my excess cuticles, over filed my nails, list goes on. I will not be back. Disappointed with the proximal (top) edge of nails near cuticles - they look very ragged. I could have done better at home. The technician was distracted and took four phone or face time calls during my mani pedi. She had a cough and wore a mask part of the time. Toenail looked good. My friend and I had appointments to get pedicures on a Saturday. My friend got gel nails and I opted for regular polish. It was a lot of pressure to get gel nails, which I just wasn't interested in that day. Not a lot of communication happened. It was awkward and I couldn't understand what angles they wanted my my feet at times. They also had some polish on my toes that didn't quite get removed, so it definitely looked a little sloppy. Overall I was disappointed with mine. However, I will say my friend's gel nails looked fabulous and she seemed to enjoy her pedi more than I did mine. When it was time to check out, they kept asking us if we had cash. We did not realize they preferred cash, so I asked if we could add the tip to a card. It was a bit of a strange interaction then, and as a heads up, they do add $2 charge for using a card. Overall, the experience wasn't bad; just a little awkward. I would consider coming back if I wanted gel nails. And next time I will definitely bring cash. read more

My nail tech didn't say one word to me, which was fine but I would think a 'hi' would be nice. She took instruments out of a drawer that looked like they're the only ones she uses throughout the day. She brought the gel dryer out from under her desk and didn't bother to wipe it down with a sanitizing cloth and it appeared dirty and well-used. When the gel manicure was done, she told me to go wash my hands and proceeded to give me the price. I thought I'd at least get a lotion massage for $43.00. I had them do gel on my pedicure and dips for my manicure, for the first time in my life. I had no idea they sand your nails to start and then sand it to take it off! My nails hurt for a week! My very hard original nails, now weak and breakable! Now my nails do not grow but break off all the way. There is a hump on them from, I imagine, where the sanding was done! When I had the dips taken off I wanted a regular manicure but with nail hardener- she didn't bother to do that. So far my toenails are hanging in there from the gel, but they are no longer smooth but rough feeling. Plus when I sat down at the drying table, I noticed some fake ugly plastic leaves wrapped around the bottom of the table, collecting lots of dust and dirt. So gross sitting next to that! Such an awful experience and hope my nails grow for summer so I can have a normal manicure. Right now it looks like I chewed them all off. So awful! I definitely won't go back. Maybe they are ok for normal manicures but that's it. So hope my nails grow back fast! read more

I had an appt today. I repeated what I needed twice and the person said it back. I get here and they greet me and ask me what I'm here for. I tell them. I sit and wait 20 minutes. Then when it's my turn she asks again. I repeat it. Then someone says that they have "other appointments" and can only do one service because they put me down for a fixed nail. I asked for acrylic nails to be removed and then a mani-pedi. But because the person "misunderstood" all of that, I had to leave? Poor customer service. That person made a mistake so I should have been accommodated. Instead I was made to feel that those other appointments were more important than me even though I was there. Looking for a new salon close to work. Sat down for a simple fill. The employee never said one word, or at least... even smiled to me. Never touched my cuticles AT ALL. When she finished (with uneven nails), I asked could she please just clip a tiny hangnail? She stated that's never included and that extra tiny snip would cost another $15? Actually, No Edina Nails. They also don't publish all of their prices, so you aren't really sure what you are signing up for - I asked to see their full service/price list and they could not provide it to me. Not adhering to COVID protocols. In the 1.5 hours I was there, one technician wore her mask over her nose and mouth for a total of 5 minutes (her mask was around her chin while she watched her phone). Another staff came in and disregarded their own protocol of washing hands as you enter. My technician did a great job on my pedi, but the mani was subpar. Please pay attention to the negative reviews, I wish I had before I booked an appointment here. I had the most horrible experience at Edina Nails. Their prices online did not match what they charged once I had my nail services done. They charged me $65 for a gel manicure and polish removal which was absolutely absurd. The nail technician then yelled at me for using a credit card, even though I had brought enough cash for the payment quoted online, and did not have enough cash because they overcharged me. She also did a horrible job on my nails, and got polish all over my skin. I had to get all the excess off on my own when I got home, which shouldn't be necessary at a nail salon that expensive. I just got my nails done here and I'm very pleased! I got a gel manicure, paid with cash, and it cost $38 which I believe is very reasonable. They are taking coronavirus precautions, customers must wear a mask and upon entry they ask you to use hand sanitizer. They also have plastic shields set up at both the manicure and pedicure stations. I highly recommend! read more

Crabby staff, sick manicurist who shoved cotton in her nose to stop the drip, got up to wash hands after sneezing, but didn't sanitize and kept on going! Unfriendly staff, she started with wrong color and sort of argued with me about it, messy job with uneven glitter distribution and paint on my skin, had to repeat myself and have her correct the whole job a few times. This is the first nail salon I have tried since moving to the area and I have given it 3-4 chances, but will be looking elsewhere from now on. The staff definitely tends to be short and rude to customers. I have seen this with multiple customers on each visit. I have done both gel and dip manicures and the work itself is pretty good and I have never needed an appointment to get in. However, their pricing has been different each time I have gone and they do not have any prices posted within the salon. Cleanliness of the salon is just ok. read more

Having been to multiple nail salons in the area, I can say this is one of the best. Cash is preferred method of payment. Make an appointment before you go unless you don't mind waiting awhile.
