This was my first visit. I got a gel mani-pedi. I waited a while to write this review because I wanted to see how well my polish held up and I'm really impressed. I had two different people - one for my hands and one for my feet - and both were excellent. Very gentle and meticulous. I didn't end up with any irritation from trimming my cuticles, the polish was applied perfectly, and 10 days later it is still shiny and perfect. This is my new go-to place! read more

Mainstreet Nails is my go-to place. It is always clean, everyone is friendly, and they have good COVID preventive measures in place. I have had a couple of different people do my pedicure, but typically Becky is my go-to person. She is very friendly and does a great job, not rushing through the pedicure. Prices are average or maybe slightly above average for nails? I usually get a deluxe pedicure here with gel polish and thought the prices were about typical. They generally do a really nice scrub on the feet and some relaxing foot and calf massaging. I always find it relaxing. It's definitely not the closest place to get my nails done but they do a really good job. I highly recommend this place! read more

The woman who did my nails (I think her name was Pa) was super friendly. She did a great job on my nails. She conversed with me in a way that wasn't too much (super chatty) or too little (awkward silence). I got a gel French manicure and will be going back soon to get a pedicure. The price wasn't bad either. It's pretty comparable to other nail places. Update: 3 weeks later and they're still in tact. They're grown out of course, but that's what happens when you don't go in for a fill. The only reason they've chipped, is because I was aggressively trying to peel a sticker off of something. I have loved this nail salon, and was intending on writing a great review. But, within the last two weeks they are under "new management". They raised the prices, and it is a much different environment. They used to have plenty of staff, and you recognized everyone. I went in yesterday, and they only had 3 people working- and I only recognized one of them. They gal that did my nails, did an awful job (which was literally never a concern prior). She didn't know (or care) to file my nails properly. They were jagged, and uneven. I had to ask her to redo them. She sighed and made me feel like it was a huge imposition to fix them. My very well behaved son always comes with me, and sits one of their many open pedicure chairs, to watch the iPad. She didn't want to let him do that. They have always offered a beverage- nothing was offered. They also raised the cost of a gel manicure $5, with no mention- unless I was paying for the service. Because of the price increase, I didn't have enough cash for a tip. So I had to put the top on my card. She sighed and made a big deal about that. I really thought that this would be my go to nail salon- but I'm afraid to say things have changed. Hopefully they work it the kinks, because they were literally awesome. read more

I've been going to this nail salon for years. Faithfully. I took a break during the time I was pregnant with my second child but I went back after and it was good until one day recently I had to get emergency surgery in the day i had scheduled my appointment. Unfortunately, from being in the ER at 5 AM to 6pm i did not once think about calling the shop and canceling. I mean honestly who would!? Anyways, I called the next day with being in pain and on heavy pain medications and apologized. You know what her response was. "Well I sat here for hours with no pay. But glad you're ok." Well EXCUSE me. I could have died and you're worried about your pay bluntly? I've always payed and tipped 20% sometimes even more. I'm so sad. It's been weeks and now I have to find a new nail shop. I've also talked to some friends about this situation and they've told me they've had bad experiences here. Makes me sad because i loved them and how they did my nails. read more

I like this place a lot. I have gotten a pedi and acrylics done and both times I was pleased. The acrylics were some of the best if not the best I've ever gotten. The ladies are always nice and when I did have to wait for about 15-20 minutes once I was given a free drink and paid attention to. Good service and nice quality! I gave this place a try because my regular place was totally full and I thought why not. I walked in and they told me to pick out a color..... 2 minutes later they told me to come back in an hour because they were too busy. Ok. So I came back and the woman was incredibly rude to me. So rushed she painted my toes like a 6 year old. This was followed by a gel manicure where they filed down my nails down so short it hurt. I've gotten my nails done at mainstreet twice now. The most recent I got a gel manicure and pedicure right before new years. Becky was amazing. She took her time with me, getting to know me all while doing a great job on both. The facilities are very clean with no ammonia smell. I was sad to hear that they have had some turnover and are running on just two technicians, but even knowing this...they were all very pleasant and made me feel great out the service I received. I have been coming here for three main reasons! 1. They remember your name and love to see you. They are conversational and super kind! 2. Their gel manicures last longer then I have ever had them last. I have been avid into gel and this has been the best place by far. 3. Rose always remembers my name which is crazy because I haven't been there so long. The pedicure is always exceptional. She cuts away all the dry skin and even gives you a massage with oil and lotion. The cleanest nail salon in town!!! You cannot beat the personal service these ladies give. I may not walk in for 2 months and they know my name and remember the last thing we talked about when I was in. The massage chairs and leg massage are enough to send anyone to cloud 9. I went today because I was overdue for a new luxury pearl pedicure but also because it's me time and those chairs are so comfy. The prices are great and I'd recommend them to everyone. Been here 5 times over the past 3 months. Prices are very reasonable. I usually go during their down times (4:30 on a wednesday) and they always have space. My tech the first few times is a delightful woman named Tu. I usually get a mani-pedi, and she's been wonderful. At other salons, the pedi prep, the trimming and scraping has been PAINFUL. Not Here!!!! Gentle, thorough, and professional. They don't talk to you overly much, but if you initiate, they're incredibly warm and friendly! Very clean salon. They move quickly, but they don't make you feel rushed. Was here on mother's day with my mom. I had called and made us an appointment, and they had the better part of 7 or 8 walk ins, but they made us feel as though we were their focus, and they weren't going to rush and do a slapdash job to finish to get to the next client. Had a pedicure done and they didn't have anything to soften my heels, they didn't use toe separators when they painted my nails and I asked for nail art and I got 2 little flowers (one on each big toe) $5! I wish some of these nail salons would not say "walk ins welcome." I walked in and was told to come back in an hour. I came back exactly and hour later. Again I was told it would be a "few more minutes." 15 minutes later I was still sitting there waiting for my "appointment" with no hint if when I would be started. All technicians looked very involved with others. Decided not to spend any more of my afternoon waiting. When I got up to leave a technician giving a manicure said it would only be a few more minutes. If I believed that I would have stayed. I guess I'll be paying a little extra at a salon that only takes appointments and no walk-ins from now on. read more

I was in today for a Deluxe Pedi with my two cousins. I had a male (not sure his name as he didn't tell me) anyway I was disappointed he hardly messaged my feet and legs and put the foot mask only on the top of my feet when my cousins got it on there whole foot and got a longer massage they also had a massage tool used on there legs and feet when I did not. I felt like he rushed my whole pedi and felt like I got a basic pedi for the deluxe price. Not to happy used to go here all the time even before when they were Nails on 8th and it was usually always great until now. Very disappointed. read more

I went in to get a full set of acrylic nails without nail polish and was charged $30, which I consider to be too overpriced. Certain nails were also too thick while others were average. DO NOT GO HERE!! I am so angry I could write the rest of the review in all caps, but I know how much everyone hates reading that crap. I would give it zero stars but the minimum is one star. I know this will be a huge novel, so if you dont want to read the whole thing the take home message is: dont support a business which doesnt respect their customers, take your money somewhere else. I used to come to Nails on 8th with my family all the time when I was younger. It was the first place I got my nails done, where I went before prom so it was a no brainer that I would go here to get my nails done before my wedding. They used to be so nice and welcoming, we actually would run into the lady at Costco and she would remember us and chat for a bit. I have no idea what happened because their management has not changed, but we had three TERRIBLE experiences in a row before we decided to cut our losses. I went with some of my friends and family to get my nails done the day before my wedding. As soon as I walked in they were rushing me and didnt even let me pick the colors I wanted. I ended up just getting the same color a friend did, and the pedicure SUCKED. My feet were as dry and calloused after as they were before. Then the girl who was doing my gel manicure was TERRIBLE. there were huge gaps between the polish and my cuticle, the polish was bumpy and she managed to get glitter from another polish on my nails. When I pointed this out I was told they couldnt do anything about it. The lady also managed to smudge my pedicure when she shoved my sandals on my feet. I literally went home in tears!! Since we had so many people who wanted to get their nails done we had two sets of appointments there, and when I got home literally crying, I told my mom "i dont want you to go there, lets go somewhere else" but she was like "we always go there, lets go back I'm sure they will fix it" So we went back, and I told the manager that I was unhappy and wanted my nails and toenails fixed. She was so terrible to me and literally yelled at me, got in my face and told me to get over it. At this point it was starting to cause a scene in the salon and my aunt had to intervene and say "she is the bride, just do what she wants. we dont care what it costs" Then the manager and the lady who did my nails had a obvious conversation in Thai, though I didnt understand the words I understood the nasty tone and the bitchy laughs. Because my mom is a sucker and hates to write a relationship off, she went back after all this!! When she went in to get her polish removed after the wedding, she went in looking to unwind and relax. The guy who did her nails, was so rough and careless he was literally throwing the polish at her nails. Her nails ended up looking like a five year old had painted them. THEN when she went to go sign her check and mentioned to the manager that he seemed rushed, the manager told her "I dont know what your problem is, ever since your daughter's wedding you have been so rude and demanding" Can you believe how terrible they are??? This was a salon that I went to all my life, and I will NEVER go back again. I'm sad as I write this review, but after so many terrible experiences I am so over it. read more

This place immediately worried me, as once I sat down for a pedicure there were bugs in my tub. It was disgusting. On top of that I got acrylics and after 2 hours I had to come back to get a nail fixed. 2 days later I lost another and within the first week I lost 4 nails. I am not a messy person or someone who is hard on their nails. I have had them from other places and they last me 3 to 4 weeks, which leads me to believe they are bad quality. I did like the people doing my nails, as they were very kind and fixed my first nail for free. I don't know if the others would have been, as I didn't go back because I had no time.
