I saw Pam on a very busy Saturday morning. I called ahead and had an appointment and when I walked in, I was immediately brought to a desk and she started on my nails right away. She was very efficient and did a wonderful job of keeping my natural length but also shaping my nails. The dip polish looks amazing and the texture is very smooth. I was in and out within 30 minutes and would 100% go back. Everyone working was very kind and happy, overall great experience. read more

Just had a blast here. Took my mother-in-law here for her 70th bday with my nieces. They were excellent!! My niece wanted minions on her toes and she got them!! The service is great and loved all the employees and their can-do attitude. The price was reasonable too, especially for kids, they get a discount. read more

This was my first visit here, and I'm already planning my next appointment! I requested an appointment through Yelp and Hugh was quick to respond and had an opening at my exact desired time. When I arrived I was immediately greeted and shown to a seat. Kevin came over to help me and made great recommendations for how to fix my tragically grown out acrylics. He spent over an hour carefully filing and fixing my nails to make them look perfectly natural. This included filing down the acrylic to blend with my natural nail, adding small spots of new acrylic where the old had chipped away, and even using a gel dip and some nail glue on one to make it match the shape and size of the rest. They also took the time to explain what we'll do next time when I come back to make my nails healthy. Pro-tip: make sure you bring cash for gratuity! They definitely deserve it. read more

I mean, for getting in last minute it wasn't a TERRIBLE experience. I've avoided this place because it's "meh". But, nonetheless, I wanted my nails done before my trip and this place was the only spot with openings near me. Made an appointment for 5, didn't start until 5:20, and I was out of there 30 minutes after she started. You can tell they want to get you out of there as soon as possible, but you can also tell it was rushed. I got "extensions" but my thumb is short enough to be my real nail I didn't realize how much she was going to shave off, otherwise I would've told her to give me 10 inch nails. This is my second time at Venice Nail Spa and I've been very impressed both times. I get my nails done regularly and have had issues with other spas putting gel paint on too thick towards the tips of my nails, making them look janky.... both times at Venice Spa my polish came out perfect and it has become my new spot because of it. Staff is friendly, always answers the phone to take reservations, AND is open on Sundays which works great for my hectic schedule. Definitely suggest checking this place out! read more

Plenty of parking. Walk-in, Greeted with a smile...within 5 minutes we were seated in our comfortable massage chairs. We both chose the "Venice Pedicure." The procedure was so relaxing I almost slept! I was very impressed with how thorough the nail technician was. Went in with 10 scary looking toe nails, they looked good when I left. Don't let this place fool you on the outside, it is a beautifully designed and large nail salon. As with many nail salons, the staff is friendly, but they don't really engage you, but they do a nice job with nails, and that's why I am here. I suggest you make an appointment. We had to come back another day the first time we went as a walk-in. Nails are holding up well--which if you get your nails done you know is not always a given--and lots to choose from, so we will be back. Might have found my new regular spot! read more

Moved to the metro 6 months ago. Shopped around for nail salons. Have had my nails done for about 12 years. This salon is the cleanest of the 3 cities I've lived in. The staff is the greatest, remember your name after 1 visit. Hough and Hannah are the 2 nail techs, but the other ladies are superior for pedis. I will be a long time customer. :) read more

THE BEST PLACE TO GET PEDICURES IN MINNESOTA! After hopping around different nail salons in search for the perfect pedicure, this is the one! Here's why: *The staff are very attentive, friendly and polite throughout the entire service. *I did not at any moment feel rushed, unlike other nail salons that want you in and out as quickly as possible. At Venice Nails, it was a calm and relaxing paced environment. *The prices are comparable to other salons and you get THE best for your money. *My pedicure lasted for more than a month or so! No chips or anything! *The pedicure chairs are new and are maintained. *The salon and equipment is clean and hygienic! In conclusion, I absolutely recommend this salon to EVERYONE! After searching high and low for a salon with amazing reviews, I drove all the way to Venice Nails from Maple Grove. I called two weeks ahead to make an appointment. I was seated promptly, which I appreciate. I had the classic mani/pedi combo with gel upgrade (fingers only) with Jessie. She was really efficient and thorough. I'm very pleased. Large selection of colors, regular and gel. Total with tax but not including tip was $40 for mani/pedi, $10 gel upgrade, $5 pedicure exfoliant upgrade, plus tax. Most prices listed on the website. The storefront is deceptive because the inside is a lot larger than it looks. It would be a great place for groups. read more

I love coming here for pedicures! The ladies do a wonderful job glamming up my toes and making my feet ever-so-silky-soft. I always get the gel French polish with a funky color (blue or purple tips, usually). Gel polish lasts weeks, but if you get a solid color, it grows out in 7-10 days...making the fact that you paid extra for a long-lasting gel polish silly. With colored French tips, you get the best of both worlds. You're welcome, fellow women. The salon is always very clean, and I love that they use disposable everything - the tubs have a plastic liner, the emery boards and pumice stones are single use, and the techs wear gloves for the majority of the pedi. I never worry about bacteria or other people's icky toe jams remaining in the foot bath. My toes look lovely, my feet feel rejuvenated, and I am overall a happier girl when I leave Venice Nails. Bonus that it is in my neighborhood! read more

I had Hugh(amazing!) do acrylic extensions with dip, and my sister had Hannah do a dip manicure-she was good as well. The staff was very friendly and the place is so well decorated! Very clean and neat, but not cold and sterile like some quick nail salons. I did not feel rushed here like I have at other places. I got the Venice Manicure for $20, plus a "design" on my nails for an extra $5. I showed the woman doing my nails a couple pictures of how I wanted the polish applied, and she did it perfectly! I just got regular polish, and it probably took about 40 minutes. The package included a scrub, but without it would have been $4 less. I made an appointment for 11:30am and I was surprised how busy it was. I wasn't greeted when I came in, which I didn't care about because I saw that they had great reviews. When I was finally seated to get my pedicure done the lady didn't greet herself and she didn't show me the options that they had for pedicures (I had a few extra bucks and I wanted a luxury pedicure but instead got a regular pedicure). The leg message was rough so I did not like that and the lady was very unsanitary too. My manicure was rough too, but she did a good job with painting my nails until I saw the bubbles on my gel manicure when I left. My overall experience is a 2.5/5. read more

This is a happening nail salon! They have been open for 5 years. The owner is very friendly and remembers his repeat customers. The ownwer checked on his nail techs and engaged with his customers. I went in for a pedicure with my two cousins and they were able to get us in and get us chairs next to each other. They have the massage chairs which are so nice. The nail tech did a great job and I loved the foot and leg massage that went with my pedicure. I decided after my pedicure to get a manicure with the dip powder and they were able to get me in without a wait and they were accomadating to getting me in. They had a large selection of colors to pick from for the dip powder and the nail tech did a great answering any questions I had regarding the dip powder process. They have great prices, $28 for pedicure and $40 for the dip, which I hear is a good price for the dip powder. read more

When I checked out, I was told that if I pay with card is $4 more. This is another way to make money as the card fee is 3% for in person charge which is $1.2. He was very rude and condescending and wanted me to come in but I did not want to go back there and the ladies were kind of unpleasant. Fake. Upselling! He thought I wanted a full refund but only the NAILS and he still said he could not refund my card. Wanted my ADDRESS to mail me a CHECK. I told him NO. Since he was so rude... not giving out my address. He said really snarky stuff like... "Have you ever had a manicure?". I assured him at 70 years of age... yes I have. I told him I was really upset and I let him know why I was upset. He told me to adjust my meds and then hung up on me. Really inappropriate and the level of condescending lack of gratitude was embarrasing. Clearly they are busy and he does not have the integrity to stand by his workers, products or customers. RUDE. I went to my credit card and filed a dispute just asking for a portion of the service fee back to me. They can keep the $22.00 tip that they did not EARN. I'll add photos soon!

I have been to many nail salons in the Minneapolis area, and this is by far the best one I have been to. They are very detailed, fast, and professional. The owner, Hugh, always makes a point to remember you. Hugh, Linda, Hannah, and Nina have all done my nails and I have never left disappointed. They are very accommodating with getting you an appointment the day of. The last time I went I had a photo of a nail design that I wanted. Nina was able to do an exact replica of the nails. What a relaxing atmosphere! I have been getting my nails done for the last 10 plus years and been to ALOT of salons, this by far beats them all! Enjoy the pedicure, they use a new liner in the basin each person to prevent fungus to spread, the attention to detail is appreciated! Having my nails filled i don't like having a thick fake nail look, they do a great job to assure that "thick nail" doesn't look that way. DEF would recommend you stop in and give them a try. Best Nail Salon in the cities! Every time we come in for pampering we get the best of service. The staff is nice, welcoming and friendly, and make sure we leave satisfied. I get my nails done on a regular basis, and wouldn't trust anyone but the staff at Venice Nails Spa. Definitely a clean and relaxing nail place. They use gloves and tools that come from a sealed package. Jessie by far the best! She is far more attentive and cheerful compared to the other girls there. I have found, though, that even if you make an appointment, if someone walked in before you, you are put in line before that walk-in. read more

Jessi did a fantastic job on my pedicure. My toe nails were not in great shape, some really short, some crooked... I opted for gel polish and added on the massage and hot towel wrap for $12 extra. I've never been a regular nail girl but have been to dozens of salons for special occasions over the years. After years of crappy nails, I've decided to treat myself to something nice. Initially, I did a walk-in on a Sunday to remove work done elsewhere and get a new set of dip. The service was fine. The person who did my nails (purple) seemed to be in a hurry but was very nice -- I think my walk-in screwed up their schedule. The layers on my nails were sufficiently thinner and way more natural than the outside work I came with, which I appreciated. After about a week I noticed a hairline crack on my pointer finger, which turned into a full crack after a few days. Super bummed the set only lasted 2 weeks. I made an appointment for about 3 weeks later. Definitely recommend making an appointment! Diepy did such a good job manicuring my fingers and dipping my nails. She could tell I'm right hand dominate based on the growth and wearing of my nails. She took her time to make sure to reinforce the apex and tips with a base coat on top of the colored powder and smoothed the coating to perfection. No lump, bumps, or globs here! I then got treated to a cute photoshoot for my hands, which really boosted my confidence. I also received a gift of handcream for my birthday!! I think it was the best service I've ever had on a full set and at a great price ($53 for dip, $10 for chrome + tip).They had great relaxing spa music playing and fun HGTV shows on the TV.
