The edison mall is considered the flagship of ft myers. Its one of the oldest established malls in the area outside of the gulf coast town center. As a kid i would come here and walk around with my friends but the quality has taken a dive. The stores are not high end stores and people follow you around as if you want to steal rather than ask you if you need help. I guess most of the stores are use to theft all the time. That is definitely a turn off and bad for business, the only stores i like to frequent are dillards, disney store and the shoe stores. Everything else is a waste basically. This place is for kids and wanna be thugs. Go to literally any other mall if you want to go shopping. Edison is the oldest and most run down in the entire county. Go to coconut point, Miromar, gulf coast, or bell tower first. In that order too haha read more

I'm not gonna say i dont shop here because i do but i wish i can do it more comfortably. Almost every single store has very very weak AC. I walk in and feels like im having a series of hot flashes. If thats the case ill just head to Miramar Outlets outside mall. Especially with Florida weather this is not good. read more

Ok, so it is an older mall. Ok so it's a little down-at-heels. But this is an INDOOR mall which is great for FL (ever been to Coconut Point in the torrential rain or needed parking close to where you shop?? Not a fun experience!). It is cool inside and there is plenty of parking close to where you want to shop. The stores are naturally geared towards teens and young adults in general. That said, Dillards has a great women's shoe department. The Penny's and Macy's are okay too -- but somewhat smaller than large east coast stores. Lastly, it is a great mall for walking as it is big (don't know mileage) and cool and mosquito-free -- unlike the rest of Florida. Enjoy it now (or just complain about it) because this type of mall (and department stores) will be gone in our lifetime. read more

One of the few indoor malls in Ft Myers with a wide variety of stores and kiosks. Rennovated within the last 3-4 years it is now a much more comfortable place to shop. 'nuf said. read more

This place has been getting worse exponentially. Trust me. I used to work there as a teenager. It's saturated with low-lives and losers. When it comes to the shopping, selection is weak and typical. Went to the Perfume Collection and got ripped off. I spent $130.00 on 2 perfumes that could have been bought at Macys for $55 total. I tried to return the items the same day and the clerk would not let me return the product for a refund. None of the items are labeled with prices so they can charge you whatever price they want to. They also have a NO RETURN policy, and will not allow you to return something 1 minute after you have purchased it. This is illegal in Florida, but the owner is a scum bag and doesn't care if he is ripping you off. I will NEVER go back to this mall or the Perfume Collection store again. Stay away from this place. read more

This mall has everything/store you'll need. Plenty of stores for shopping for a date or family time. Great food selection restaurants or food court. The employees and people are nice here compared to Tampa/Orlando malls. The only thing it's missing is a movie theater read more

It can be a bit of a throwback to the malls of the early mid 90s but it's got lots of shopping options and all under one roof...the other outdoor malls in surrounding areas are only good when weather is permitting, but here in south Florida that can be a tall order. read more

I remember when people were allowed to SMOKE in the MALL. Yes, smoke in the mall! When I was a little kid, my mom would make me tag along with her to Edison Mall for a weekly shopping trip. I hated it then, and I continued to hate it throughout the remainder of my childhood. This is THE mall in Fort Myers (mostly everything else is outdoors and not really that mall-like), but it's a pretty sorry excuse for a mall. There are very few decent stores and it just has a grimy appearance and feel. I haven't been there since about 2003 or so, so things may have changed, though I doubt it, knowing Fort Myers. Also, my grandparents were held up in the parking lot once when I was about 11 or so. They broke my grandma's foot. That was so not cool. If you're moving to Fort Myers, you might want to get used to internet shopping...or bring your own mall. It could be less of a headache than trying to deal with this one. read more

I visited here recently while in Ft. Myers. This mall is not very nice. It does not have a lot of stores to go in. I found it a boring mall.

This mall offers poor directions to different shops..staff not to friendly either..if you require a size larger than a XL your out of luck better to save the gas and shop on line.FYI Penny's does have a up stairs you have to ask for directions to get their no signs to letting you know this or what's up stairs. Stores have either closed or been replaced by another and are not listed...very disappointing go to Naples.. Or Bell Tower Shops.. read more

I normally don't write reviews, but after Christmas shopping here today, it's the last straw. Seriously, I don't know what has happened to this mall either, and it's getting worse. 10 years ago, I was your typical 17 year old Fort Myers teenager who spent their weekends here. There were stores like Gap, Banana Republic, Waldenbooks, Hallmark, Cache, and White House/Black market. VERY nice upscale stores which actually sold modest ,decently made clothes. Burdines (now macy's) even had a Tommy Hilfiger section right next to the juniors. What has happened, I don't know. If I had a teenage child (which I don't), I would not let them buy anything here. The "juniors" stores that have moved in here over the past couple of years mostly sell very cheaply made and inappropriate clothing, if you know what I mean. I won't be returning after today, which is sad because I pretty much grew up at this mall. Seriously, the only thing here that is worth coming for is Books-A-Million, and only because it moved out of Page Field Commons. There are several outdoor malls: Coralwood, Bell Tower, Coconut Point, Gulf Coast Town Center, and Miromar. Go there instead. Stay AWAY from here! read more

I NEVER EVER write reviews but I couldn't control myself this time. I don't know if the mall management reads these . Probably not but the bad reviews are just uncalled for . I have been here for 46 yrs and been going there ever since. The stores do change a lot not sure why but tell me what mall isn't for teens really? And as for being dirty that's just nonsense they keep the food court as clean as needed. Cmon people I think the bad reviews are people that are use to upscale malls with empty pockets or people with a problem they may have with someone there. I guees it is good to trash somnehting - especially when you are too cool to understand marketing. Edison Mall contains Macy's, Jos Banks, and most of the good stores found around the USA. The restaurants are actually very good and overall - the AMall is incredibly busy. If you read the trash comments - consider the sources - sound like teenagers and low info 20 somethings. Edison was never in competition with Naples - it serves a specific market. So for those that just like to go look at the highest end merchandise - but never ever can afford to buy - great. But for so many folks that need ordinary things - sheets, shirts, athletic shoes - kitchen stuff - paying an extra 40% to buy the same thing is stupid. But hey - Something must be right about Edison as the place is very, very busy ALL the time. And if you want high end - Coconut Poiit is 25 minutes and Naples another 15. I suggest the whiners need to wake up to how fortunate we vare to have the diversity. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THE PIERCING PAGODA!!!!! Not once but twice did this happen to me: I was treated with such rudeness and disrespect I could not believe it. I had two purchases within this year where I bought a warranty with each one. My earrings that I bought broke so I took them back to get a new pair as the warranty guarantees. When they looked me up in the system there was no evidence of purchases. I looked up my bank statments that included the store number that proved my purchase and even the extra price of the warranty. They said that it wasn't showing up in there system and there was nothing they could do. I provided them with proof and not only did they not honor my warranty, they treated me as if I was crazy and with rudeness, as if is was wasting their time. I used to be a huge fan of the piercing pagoda but now I will never go back there again and I will never let anyone I know buy from there. I have never had such bad customer experience. I was especially shocked at the older woman with short curly blonde hairs lack of regard for me as a customer and a person. I can't believe it. read more
