I'm guessing it was some kind of mailer, but I'm glad fate directed me their way. It's a pretty unassuming location, I almost drove right past it the first time. The place itself seems to be run out of the porch of someones home ( The Colvins?). Far from being awkward, however, it gives it a very homey and comforting feel. Right down to the family photos, cookies and coffee, that greet you when you walk in It was such a good experience the first time that even though it was just a simple filing this year, I used them again. Both times, my agent was Barbara Conn. She was like that wise aunt, who always gives you really good advice. She was an expert at getting the maximum refund , right down to how many loads of laundry you do per year. Little tidbits like that make it worth the effort. Since I've never done any other tax service or software program, I can't cpompare it to anything. Their fee has been in the $200 range, but that seems worth it to me based on the amount they get me back. I'm thinking that only people in this area would use Colvin, and I hope they do. It may even be worth your time for you city folk to trek out here to get the Colvin treatment.

I told the owner truthfully that I'd had no correspondence with his employee; he subsequently indicated I had lied to him. I got a call about my first rating and they asked what they could do to fix it, I said raise my rate - heck if they invest my money in CDs, they will make 5%, so pay me 4%. I understand the caps on market wins (because they make sure you don't lose money) but with fixed income, it should be close to market rate (especially since it resets every year.

Heed my warning customers that this specific location will sell you different types of insurance but will not volunteer answers, and if you need to make a change to your policy make sure you have a whole month to confirm the change or you'll get charged. PennDOT sent our title back to our loan company in October 2024. Kyle's Auto Tag said nothing. We unknowingly drove an unregistered vehicle for nearly two years. When we came back for answers, they blamed us -- despite PennDOT and our loan company both having documentation that Kyle's Auto Tag made the error. No fix offered. No refund. We went straight to Wiggins Auto Tag. Jody resolved the entire mess in 20 minutes. Stay far away from Kyle's Auto Tag. Wiggins is down the street and they actually know what they're doing.

Well, it is against federal law (Durbin Amendment). The Durbin Amendment (part of the Dodd-Frank Act) aims to control debit card interchange fees and prohibits surcharging. There was no line item for the charge. there was a $9 difference between the store receipt and the debit card receipt and the store receipt stated cash. So, just a word to the wise, you will get fleeced at this place so make sure you bring cash or go somewhere else.
