I get my daily coffee here when I work on campus. Definitely one of my favorite places for coffee! Love the staff, food & drinks and the atmosphere.

I decided to stop by Edmonds Cafe as I heard it's a great cafe to study at. There are many tables and their wi-fi is pretty good. My friend and I decided to share a large mocha. The cashier was very friendly, and we received our drink shortly. I thought the Mocha was a little too sweet for my liking. Overall, it is a solid spot if you need a place to study at with small bites!

Edmonds is one of my fav cafes around campus (and trust me, I've been around ) I've had a few different drinks and they've almost always met the mark (lovee their seasonal pumpkin cream cold brew). Their drinks are priced well and [[HIGHLIGHT]]there's a large seating area (though it can get noisy so keep that in mind if you're planning to study).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This cafe should be 5 stars! One of the best cafes in Berkeley especially for students. It's never crowded and has plenty of room to study. The bay window offers an amazing view. I get so much work done here.

Edmonds is great spot to grab a quick bite to eat. They're sandwiches and pizza are amazing, along with their pastries and great staff

Matcha with 2 pumps of Vanilla

Customer service is amazing. So amazing in fact, I fell in love with one of the baristas. The drinks are good and the new pastries from Third Culture, are even better! The music is also really good.

Me holding my blueberry lemonade. It is good and refreshing. I will most likely order a blueberry lemonade again some time in my life.

Good Golly! To say Edmond's is the best coffee shop in the world is quite blatantly an understatement. Encapsulated by a calming ambiance, an unmatched view of the bay, and coffee that makes the toes tingle, Edmond's cafe is like no other. But what sets Edmonds apart from some of the other amazing coffee shops our Earth has to offer? One word: super amazing customer service. After ordering two matcha lemonades, my twin sister and I were astounded and quite pleased to see the coffee brought to us from an amazing barista named Caroline Warren. Delivering our coffee directly, Caroline was quick to engage in conversation with my sister and me, and was clearly quite concerned that we had a satisfiable experience at her café. Edmond's Café, if you see this, please give Caroline a raise. Caroline encompasses everything Edmond's stands for. To conclude this review, I have written a poem that hopefully can convey my attitude towards Edmond's to some extent: Roses are red, Violets are blue, I don't do drugs because drugs are bad, Edmond's is coo. Edmond's, you will forever have my heart. This concludes my review. As Dr. Dre once so elegantly put it, "Never let me slip, 'cause if I slip, then I'm slippin'". GO BEARS!!!

Avesome service, good snacks. The tea and coffee is good. Nice location. No "mandatory tips"

I've come here twice, and both times have been honestly not great at all - I only visited on request of friends wanting to grab a drink or side salad here. The items on the menu are all not very cheap (~$8-9) for what they actually are. For instance, I most recently ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with a side of fries included and an extra patty inside by recommendation of the cashier. The cashier told me that it would be a "triple decker grilled cheese sandwich," and didn't mention that the patty was an additional $3.50, or that the side of fries were so small I could have eaten all of them in one bite! This order came down to $12.50, and needless to say, I was not satisfied at all with my food at the price point. The grilled cheese sandwich was lightly burnt on the outside so that I could mostly taste the burntness in every bite, and the wait was quite long (~15 minutes) for an order this small and simple. By the time the order came out, the sandwich was no longer crispy, quite lukewarm, and lacked any sort of flavor, so I dipped the entire thing in ketchup to at least be able to taste something. It was definitely not a "triple decker grilled cheese" like the cashier said, and the quality of the food had me definitely feeling I could make something way better at home. Definitely not a place you'd want to visit if you want quality food at a good price.

Awhile back, I tried to bring as much business to Star Meat as I could because 1. it's a small business and 2. it's inside Star Grocery (which I LOVE, so it's convenient). When I would go there, there would often be 2 or 3 people behind the counter and oftentimes I would be the only customer. I felt like I had to stand there forever before anyone even acknowledged I existed. Each person would be busy doing something, but there was no "I'll be with you in 2 minutes." Finally, I went one day and there were 3 workers behind the counter chatting with each other. I was the only customer and was standing around 6 feet away from them, looking right at them. They went on with there conversation (not doing any other work) for a full 5 minutes. Finally I thought, "OK, they really don't seem to want my business, so I can go to any one of 4 other places and get what I want." That was a year or two ago. So, today I thought, why not give it another try, it's certainly convenient. Again, I'm the only customer at the counter. One guy is washing equipment and two guys are making sandwiches. I know that they know that I'm there, there are mirrors all along the back wall exactly for the purpose of seeing the customers. After around 4 minutes I think, who knows how long I'm going to be standing here. Maybe they have to make 20 sandwiches and I'll be here for a half hour. So, I left. I don't have anything like this experience at the 4 other meat counters I go to in the area. I'm totally fine waiting if I have some sense that I'm waiting for a purpose and that the worker will get to me as soon as they can. But at Star Meat, it feels like I'm more of an inconvenience than a customer. "Hi, I'll be with you as soon as I can," goes a long way.

I've had their Spicy Hog, steak with mushroom, a few Cubans, but the one that I always come back to is "The Balls" sandwich. First off, this sandwich is massive, so be sure that you come here on an empty stomach. These beef meatballs are seasoned to perfection and bursting with flavor. The balls are covered in their red sauce with provolone and Grana Padano, which gives it that nutty and salty flavor that pairs extremely well with the meatballs and baguette. All the juices and cheese just get soaked up to perfection. The baguette bread they use is supplied by La Farine, which is just a few meters away from each other. Just putting out there that La Farine is hands down one of the best bakeries in Oakland, so it makes sense that this sandwich would be so dang good. I'll be honest that I'm not a big fan of the chips or those chips in general and could be fine with just the sandwich. If you are going to have any sandwich to eat here first, I would highly recommend you try "The Balls" because I promise you will not be disappointed. I will always say that the dozen or so times I've been here, the staff are always so friendly, and the atmosphere is very down to earth. The price of their sandwiches is in the $20 range, but the quality and portion make it totally worth it.

I remembered that decision as we drove down Claremont on our way to Sweet Maria's. On our way back up, we stopped off at Souvenir Coffee for a couple of sandwiches and one coffee. After the person taking my order repeated back my drink as a cortado, I agreed that a cortado would be an even better choice than the macchiato that I had in my mind's eye. The cortado came out first, followed not long afterwards by our sandwiches. Both the drink and the grilled cheese sandwich were excellent; we clearly had a 5-star experience. You changed me Krispy Joe's, and had me eating stuff I never would have. Also, drinking stuff I never would have. I bought their chai and lemonade, both were 5 stars, and they offered me their pickle juice electrolyte drink to try. I was skeptical at first, but again they made me a believer. I hate pickle juice and pickle flavored anything in general. Yet, they converted me once again when they offered me a sample of their pickle-aid. It tasted like a mild tasting plain Gatorade. If I were still training for a marathon, I would totally buy this! Back to their amazing sandwiches. They are made with such care, dusting every sandwich that's made to order with their secret spices while toasting the meat and bread. The slaw was fresh and herbaceous. Again, made with care and craftsmanship. I am rooting for this business to expand and take over Ike's Sandwiches. I believe in you Krispy Joe's, you have my vote!
