Paid about 200 for a gallon of water and hydrangeas that started dying in 2 days. Yes, I followed the instructions. Instructions didn't even tell you that hydrangeas needed to be cut regularly and placed in hot water to revive if drooping. I'm better off buying them from Trader Joe's and making my own arrangement. Only upside is that the roses are blooming beautifully. - EDIT - I went to Trader Joe's and got some flowers (baby breath and lilies) to add to it. Horrible horrible experience for my little graduate. I sent my husband there to get a lei, a basic lei. He came home with an orange and green lei! I asked him what happened. He said the owner told him they sold out all leis, and he will make him one. $45 later, he came home with the ugliest lei. My little one was in tears when he looked at the lei. I called and spoke to the owner. He said he helped him, and will not take back a custom item. I said "when spending $45 for a lei, I would expect you would give me a color choice"He was so manipulative, he said "of course I asked him". And I said "and he picked orange and green?" He said "I don't remember". So $45 lei goes into the trash. I admit part of it is my fault, because I was too busy to go in myself and sent my husband who knows nothing about lei. But come on! Being a professional florist, at least help him out with a school color! Look at the photo of his school lei (blue and gold) and the CUSTOM lei Edmond designed for my son. Yesterday Edmonds delivered a pathetic floral arrangement. As represented in the pictures, a single amarylllis bulb surrounding with fir pieces, lacking an ounce of any aesthetic consideration and was likely making use of scraps left over from wreaths, and a few small token japanese elm branch tips that were stuffed into an ugly and peeling off faux "birch/aspen" paper on the pot. Totally lacking any festive holiday arrangement garnishes or color as basic or inexpensive as a bow, pine cones or small adornments. Looking at the Edmond's website, apparently a single Christmas amaryllis arrangement + tax + delivery ( for us a 5 min trip only 2 miles from the store) gift would be $220+ and would be fine but not for thecheap and apparently rushed monstrosity that was delivered. Obviously the Sender thought Edmonds would create a festive and aesthetic arrangement close to the picture represented on their website but apparently Edmond's website is just a lure. There are so many florists in San Mateo that take pride in their creations and deliver beautiful, meaningful and festive arrangements ( i.e. Ah Sams) and lower prices (i.e. San Mateo Florist) . Dont waste your time or $ at Edmond's only to end up with a gift sent/received that brings significant disappointment for both parties. Update: Oddy the "arrangement" was very heavy for a single amaryllis bulb and a few fir scraps. So took the pot with the "living" out of the exterior faux "birch/aspen" experiot pot. WOW, it was filled with 3 lbs of dirt and the actual plant pot was small, only 6"w x 5" deep and only 3/4 full (added pics) Unbelievable at $220+. So if you 're inclined to send someone really expensive dirt and a totally different twist on "Santa's bag of Coal" go to Edmonds. read more

BEST FLOWERS/FLORAL ARRANGEMENT IVE EVER PURCHASED! 10/10 would recommend and this is now my go-to florist. the owners and staff are so friendly and kind. the flower selection is immaculate and does not disappoint. i went in on a Saturday afternoon/early evening and was greeted as soon as we entered. immediately you see walls lined with the healthiest and most ornate orchids and houseplants. and then there is a room with fresh cut flowers for arrangements. again, i went at the end of the day and while many flowers had been purchased throughout the day they still had such beautiful and healthy flowers left for arrangements. this indicates that they have the best of the best selection of flowers when at the end of the day their remaining flowers aren't all wilted and sad. i wanted to get my mother a 'just because' arrangement and picked out a few peonies and pushpin flowers and the owner ELEVATED it from there. i was amazed at the arrangement. it was so beautiful and full and lush. my expectations were exceeded and every need was met. the flowers were so beautiful that on our way back to the car several strangers stopped to tell us how beautiful the flowers were. they literally stopped traffic. my mom cried when i handed her the arrangement. i couldn't be happier with my experience at edmond's. from customer service to quality of flowers. beyond impressed. I had a wedding to go to back in December 2022, and I wanted to bring the "Beautiful Bride" a gorgeous floral arrangement to enjoy while she was getting ready. This was a very special wedding because they had been together for 19 years. So the day of the wedding, I went to Edmond and asked him to make an arrangement with specific flowers that were very expensive. Within minutes he designed an elegant arrangement. He even gave me a shocking great deal on the price. The Bride loved them and now she gets her floral arrangements there. This used to be my favorite florist. They have always been on the pricey side but the arrangements were incredibly beautiful. The most recent experience was disappointing. I ordered a rose arrangement $261 +$45 delivery fees; I got exactly 2 dozens rose with some green accents, and some curly willows in a glass vase. I could have gone to Safeway and buy a dozy roses with greens under $50. There is zero creativity with this arrangement and does not match any photo on the website. I phoned to voice my feedback and the person on the other end was extremely defensive and said it is the trend for simple arrangements and he even gave me an upgrade (I paid for it! He didn't do me an extra favor!!!). I pointed out that what we received not looked like any of the photos on the website and he smoothly made it sound like I was dumb to expect anything different from what I have received. Well, am I supposed to feel stupid for believing the photos on the website? I don't know if they have changed owner or he is getting senile but customer service was a million times better than better in the past. My family has spent thousands here. I have never complained before. I would not have written this review had the response been less defensive. Sigh... At $261 for 24 roses, that's $10/ea and all the flower designer had to do was to gather them together and stuff them in a vase. Zero thought process or creativity. I bought peonies for my mom for Mother's Day, was too busy to buy them from farm girl flower who have amazing flowers for half the cost. I spent 140 at Edmonds which is understandable but pretty ridiculous. I called my mom a week later and she told me the flowers didn't even bloom... I travel a bit for work and wasn't able to go to the store to complain for a few months. I was told that there was nothing they could do.
