Good music, nice employees and good snack bar. Not crowded. So much good old fashion fun in a small town.

It's so bad I wish I could give it a zero but I cannot so I'm giving it a one. The woman with a short black hair in botched ass make up was incredibly rude to me and my daughters. The first time we went up and asked the people to exchange our cards for tickets like the table says by the arcade. She said in coherent words and kept on saying go see arcade go see arcade. Then we went up a second time and there was a guy there. He said he would send somebody down and we waited 10 minutes and nobody was down there. The third time we went up we were exhausted, but we're still asking nicely for somebody to come down to exchange our cards for tickets. The one was incredibly rude and brushed us off, saying go ahead. Go ahead and leave. Everybody who is hired here was incredibly rude and had no customer service whatsoever. Then he ignored my other daughter and went back to the counter without saying a word. And when my daughter asked for a non-crumpled five dollar bill she said incredibly rude things. "Girl we don't straighten our bills leave I had to go tend to your group anyway." Then she left. Her teeth are crooked and her makeup is patchy. She was also wearing Nike blazers that were disgusting just like her teeth. Big thumbs down that was awful and my daughter cried because she was being so disrespectful. She needs to be fired. If you don't like kids, don't work at a roller rink ment for kids please. read more

Can't get water or even bring water in for a child. No water fountain. Please reconsider as my kid was thirsty and denied that right. .

I did not have a pleasant experience at Edru Skate. It was the first time I have been there, and hopefully it will be the last. The place was filthy, loose boards everywhere, bathroom floor was soaking wet. I purchased some cups of water that were filled from the sink faucet. While waiting for my cups to be filled I heard a manager screaming at an employee behind the counter. Saying things I would not ever want anyone to say to my teenager. I was appalled. Then was told I couldn't bring my empty water bottle in to fill it from the drinking fountain. Apparently, we're only allowed to drink from the sink. Not the drinking fountain. I was told I couldn't have water in the waiting area, while the kid beside me had a blue slush. I would much rather take my family elsewhere. We won't be coming back. read more

Love going to Edru to Roller skate, and now my kids and husband love it too. It's good exercise and so much fun!

To Edru management: PLEASE bring back the PUNCH CARDS! We would come skating more often, and have more to spend on snacks and games!! Edru is Lansing area's best roller skating rink! Kids can easily spot them, with their zoo animal statues on the roof. We are happy to have a well-maintained rink, where we can go and have a fun time as a family. Roller skating is great exercise, and it's easy to learn. Edru offers lessons for beginners and birthday party packages for groups. They have laser tag ($6) and an arcade, featuring many fun games that will turn your hard-earned allowance into tickets, which you can redeem for cheap prizes. Their convenient location offers plenty of free parking in a well-lit parking lot. They offer open skating sessions 4 Days a week. Admission prices vary from $6.00-9.00, depending when you want to go skating. They also seem to have special skating events at least once a month, and frequently offer specials when Holt schools are on break. They have different rental skate options: rollerblades or speed skates ($5) or classic roller skates ($3). Their snack bar offers pizza, soft pretzels, hot dogs, and more... and of course I must mention their soft serve ice cream, available with many flavors of flavor burst. The ice cream is also offered through the window, serving to the public all summer long, even when the skating rink itself is closed. The only thing I would really change, would be the music. They should tailor the music to the customer base. It seems that they favor R&B and hip hop music over everything else. Our family would enjoy more pop music mixed in with the urban tunes. Took my 6 year old skating for the first time today and she loved it! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The other skaters were much older than her and were so great! They were helping up kids who had fallen and one kid even held another girls hand and skated with her for her birthday. It was our first time and we absolutely loved it! They have an arcade, laser tag, a little food area, and skating so it your kids need a break they have other activities. We spent all of our time skating we didn't even get a chance to try laser tag, maybe next time we will be going back very soon! read more

First off..let me just say, BEWARE!! They will try to get over on you if they can. Somehow I don't get how their 7 & under crowd price added up to $15.00 just for 2 kids & one adult that's "suppose to be free". I understand as advertised.. The $5.00 includes skate rental, teddy Graham's, and lemonade. I was ok with that but then I needed skates to rent and was told that I had to pay another $5.00 just to rent the skates. Huh??? Really?? I would have been ok with that as long as another snack was included. ( would have only made sense) but no.a snack was not included. RIPOFF is what I call it. Plus my kids brung their own skates and didn't even need to rent skates. ( go figure) Such a shame that they are so desperate for money that they have to do it in a dishonest way. First time going there and will be my last. read more

Bounce Rock Roll Skate! Whoa ho ho....Edru is er...interesting. I love to rollerskate (and I do mean on four wheels, 2 in the front, and 2 in the back) so every now and again on a Wednesday or Friday night I make it out to Edru. The clientele is strange - mostly parents bringing their wee ones or 45-pluses (very plus) trying to relive their youth. And you know what, that's cool because rollerskating rocks. It's just that I can do without the 65 year old guy with the red polyester pants and the snow white Travolta-esque chest hair. It's a family-oriented rink, so the music is usually 70s-80s-90s disco/pop/funk, you know like lipps inc./michael jackson/amy grant kind of thing. All in all Edru is pretty cool and I'm a big nerd. I really like this place. Lots of fun to be had, and it reminds me of my teen years in the 90's skating at our cities skate arena. The only real issue I have is with the DJs mic. Whenever he says anything you have no idea what he said. You only hear the first and last parts of any sentence. The lights come up and you hear: "Allllllright, it's time for bluhufuh uhluh, la bluffa fuhla hulluh, bullufalaaaa, alright skaterrrrrrrrrs", and you're thinking what the hell? Is this guy trolling? So, yeah, that's the only real issue I have here. Other than that Edru Skating is 100% fun, fun, fun. read more

Such a shame. After a great night out Saturday attending a Vixen Derby bout at the Capital Center the wife and I got the bug to go skating on Sunday. Edru was the only choice in town I knew of so that became the plan. One problem was I just got stitches in my foot and it was still quite tender. The wife made a fuss that I stay off it and we decided I'd to be happy to just sit and watch her do her laps around the rink. We get to Edru pretty pumped for their 8PM open skate and to our disbelief the joker at the counter says he must charge me full price...to just sit and watch! What?!@*#&^ I explained that I was just her chaperone for the night due to my injury but the douch patrol wasn't having any of it. Well, I was a little bent but my wife really heated up and insisted we leave..and never return. As much as I don't want to shoot myself in the foot, I think she was right. They insisted on effectively charging her DOUBLE to enjoy a nice Sunday skate...either that or I sit in the car for the hour (which I was willing to do since her heart was set on skating) but my girl got mad and we steamed out of there. Pretty sad way to run a business. They have alienated 2 customers for life and now received the first review I've ever left on Yelp. Rather than give Edru another dime we instead decided to spend our money on buying skates. Thanks Edru for spoiling our evening. read more

Tonight my friends and I were going to Edru for their Valentine all night skate. When we got there, the line was out the door and we were standing in the same exact spot for 10 minutes. There was no way they were going to fit all of the people in line in that small building. There was also nothing on the website about needing a parent to sign you in if you were under 18. They then proceeded to tell you at the door that you needed a parent although most parents just dropped their kids off and left. Also, there was no way they had enough roller skates/blades for all of those kids to use. Worst Edru experience I've had. They were not prepared at all. read more

The customer service here is seriously lacking. We had our first experience with Edru this morning, and the first impressions left a lot to be desired. The website clearly states different programs and skating times, specifically "Rollers and Strollers" at 10-noon on Saturdays. Nowhere does it mention private events being held during this time slot. We show up with our very excited 4 year-old first time skater and our 1 year old son to take advantage of this excellent opportunity only to be turned away at the door because the venue is reserved for a private party. We were told to come back for free skate (which does not meet our needs as a family) later that day. No apology, no nothing; just a "No, you can't come in." In my book, if a company is going to advertise a specific service, they should live up to it, or at least communicate when that service will be unavailable so that toddlers don't have to leave in tears. read more

HORRIBLE!! all nite 11 hour skate 20 bucks plus 3 for skates includes one slice of pizza and a drink. WTH!!! Our kids went to get pizza is was all gone...the tell me they announced when pizza was available and they have 200 kids there tonite!!! That's 4000 dollars in YOUR POCKET EDRU!! Oh and they had about six slices left over and SOLD THEM. NEVER AGAIN. BIG RIPOFF!! Your gonna be there 11 hours and skate w no food and burning calories. Parents beware!!Could have taken them to dinner and the new skating place in Lansing for four hours and had money left over!! read more
