I had been trying to replace the batteries in my husband's motorized wheelchair for 3 months. I got a run around from National Seating and Mobility and was frustrated because I had made so many phone calls and got disappointing results. I was carrying around the charger to the wheelchair and plugging in the batteries to charge wherever my husband went. Luckily, a friend directed me to Ed's batteries. I was in Maine on a motorcycle trip with my family when our bike stopped starting. The Odyssey battery in the bike was only seven months old and had been cranking perfectly the day before - so I wasn't sure it was the battery but thought that was a good place to start. Ed's is one of only three places in Maine Odyssey lists on their dealer locator, so we didn't have a huge list of options, but I sure think we picked the right one. Showing up about lunch time on Monday they were quick to come out and check things out. When it was clear the battery was dead, they helped me push the sidecar rig and trailer into the shop and hooked up a charger. That didn't work. They don't do installs on motorcycles, but they let me use their service bay and offered to loan tools so I could pull the battery - they handed me a new one, tested the electrical system on the bike to make sure there were no weird draws, and then, since the battery (which I'd purchased in Arizona and of course didn't have the receipt) was still under the manufacturer's warranty, sent me on the way with good wishes and no charge. Honestly, I wasn't sure how the warranty coverage would work with no proof of purchase, and I would have been writing a great review here even if I'd had to pay for a new battery - their service and attitude was that good.
