For a while now, my wife and I have decided to help local businesses instead of shopping at the giants like Amazon and, target, and Walmart. I don't mind spending a couple of dollars extra at local shops. But I don't like being taken advantage of either. I needed batteries for my home motion detectors. I looked up the price on Amazon. A 6 pack of energizer batteries were $13.00 delivered. But I went to batteries plus in Salem as a goodwill gesture expecting to pay, maybe 15 or 16 dollars. Instead the 2 packs for $20.99.HOLY CRAP. Since I was already at the store, I bought them, but when I got home, I showed my wife why we should, sometimes, buy from amazon. I will not be going to batteries plus again. read more

**UPDATE (to response): Your company's website listed the phone I have and needed a battery replaced for as an option, and would allow me to schedule an appointment with your location. This would be different if your staff said they were out of the necessary part and couldn't do so that day (which is certainly understandable). To be told flat out that you don't provide that service (I was told that you don't change any batteries that the customer can't physically remove) is in direct contradiction of what is promied on the company's website in regards to what your location offers. So no, it was not an honest assessment in relation to what is promised AT YOUR LOCATION by the Batteries Plus Website. If the issue is with corporate, that should be brought up with them - cause now I don't know why I would want to go to any B+B location.** Scam business! Website indicated that they replace cell phone batteries (in this instance a Google Pixel) and offered appointments for such, etc. Showing up at this location, the employee told me that they don't replace batteries in phones that a customer can't remove themselves (even though the website offers exactly that). When I pressed, he simply repeated (coldly) " we don't do that." Another employee stepped in to say that they don't have any control over what corporate offers on their website. So in summation, the business is advertising for services it can't provide with no explanation why. It boggles the mind why anyone would be a customer. Repeat customer, went in for Ipad Mini battery, the tech said it wasnt battery, I said it was as this happened on another Ipad, he argued, I said nevermind, I went to mall battery was replaced in 1 hour Ipad works fine. I dont recomend unless its a car battery you need. read more

I brought my iPad on Saturday morning with a small crack but still working was quoted 98$ before I showed up. I had to leave it overnight on Sunday it was not 98$ it was 189.99 he said I must have been quoted wrong after I picked it up I noticed the lock button and Siri was no longer working. Joe told me it was a bad screen they would fix it but I would have to leave it overnight again. After I hung up with him I called corporate to see if they could speed the process up, he said he would try to get it done in two hours. After three hours he called me and said he didn't like the way the screen looked and he needed it overnight again. I told him this is ridiculous and he needs to refund me my money seeing as i was charged double the quote I got.At 11 am on Tuesday I walk in to get my iPad it still was not done after I waited until 11:12 he came out and told me he was giving me 60$ back I explained I have put 40 miles on my car and wasted many days and that's the most you can offer? He said yes so I said did you ask corporate if that's the most you can do because I'm going to call them. Joe walked away and said now I'm not refunding you anything. I stayed at in the store and called corporate while joe was hiding in the back for another 15 minutes and two phone calls later from corporate to him and she came out and gave me $60 and cash. There was more than one employee that took her mask down to get my attention and mouth to me that they were sorry. Joe is not good business don't go here. I picked up my phone from a battery replacement ($60 AFTER an online discount...yikes!) and discovered what looked like just a hot glue line. Turned out to be a nice big scratch on my screen protector. I needed another repair, an issue that appeared exacerbated after they "checked it out" so I didn't wanna make waves in case I had no other options. They said they'd call when the part came in, which was supposed to have been 2 days ago but they never did. I found another place that repaired my phone for $35 less. These guys were great. My car battery died. I got a friend to jump start my car. AAA told me it would take them 5 hours,(they never even showed up or updated me).When I arrived, they got me the battery I needed and installed it in 10 minutes. I was in and out in 15 minutes. The battery was $20-$30 cheaper than other auto parts stores too. I could tell they were getting really busy, but they kept calm and got it done. Very good experience all around. I am in the Technolgy business. I visit this location at least three times a month. They not only have excellent pricing, but they have all the best testing tools and vast battery and charging knowledge. I have brought them some odd items and the not only have the correct battery, but it is in stock. Recently, I brought in my laptop. It was not charging. I'm not exactly sure what the technician did, but it works great. I will always seek them out not just for simple purchases, but for advice and analysis of my needs. The staff here were incredibly helpful and personable. I was replacing my iPhone battery by myself... couldn't find a screwdriver small enough. They let me borrow one. That doesn't happen nowadays. My cell phone was in shambles, the charging port would not charge! I purchased my battery 8/28/15 its dead. Went to get a new one with the receipt . they said they had to keep my battery overnight to see if I can get a new one.
