First, I'd like to thank Ed and Stacey for the great service and beautifully done work on my motorcycle saddle. It is more comfortable than the 15 year old foam and leather that was on it. Notable is the excellent stitching and fine leathers used. Ed gave me some great suggestions and fulfilled his obligation within the expected completion date. I have one minor suggestion. One that could make a great difference for their business. If there is going to be any delay, it goes a long way to communicate with those who entrust their property to any business. Set expectations! A simple phone call will derail most complaints and foster good will. Reading the other reviews, I believe those could have been prevented with a phone call. I have used this shop to recover a chair and a couch. I've also used the shop to make leather pillows. Right now they are doing six dining room chair slipcovers and a couple of rocking chairs that have broke arms. They repair the wood as well as fixing upholstery. Ed is a nice guy but if you ask him to just quickly repair something to make it usable, he will not do it because he puts his name on it and if he put his name on it, he does it right. I have seen his work on upholstering the seats in a pick up truck with leather and they look better than the factory. read more

I was not impressed, Ed was very unprofessional and very unreliable. He had given me many dates to when my item would be done and every time I went pick it up it was still in the place I had left it for him untouched. Over a month later I went back to see if any progress had been made and it was still where I had left it for him. No time management skills and 50/50 chance your stuff actually gets finished. read more

I dropped my boat seats off in March and was told it would be 3-4 weeks. After the 4th week I called and was told they would be finished next week. This continued for two more months and three months later, guess what, they still weren't finished. It was one excuse after another. When I finally called and told them I was coming to get them whether they were finished or not, they started working on them and taking things apart. I took the seats anyway and had to find another upholstery shop to get the seats finished. Unfortunately, the owner had a few choice words to say to me (I don't want to repeat here) when I picked up the seats. The owner talked a good game when I first met him and that's why I selected his shop to do the work. In the end, his game was terrible. read more

ZERO STARS!!!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY! Very Unprofessional! We dropped off material for him to make 3 tops to fit on the back of a Polaris Ranger (would have taken about 30 minutes for him to hem all 3) and never requested any type of rush. He voluntarily stated he would have it done by the first of the next week. So we called later the next week and it had not been done. He said would be ready by noon that Friday. Called Friday stating we would be coming by to pick up and he again stated not done. Then he offered up he would have it done the next week by Tuesday. We called Monday and he still had not completed the project. Again, he stated he would have the project done by noon that Friday. Went by and 11:20 that Friday to pick up and guess what, still not done. Why can't people have good customer service anymore? If he wasn't going to do the job or was delayed he should have called and stated so or quit saying it would be ready. Nope won't get a good review or any referrals from me! read more

Went to see Ed on a Thursday but he was "busy". The owner Ed, told me to come in next week, "anytime" would be good. We agreed on Monday and he shook my hand. I show up Monday before lunch and Ed tells me he can't see me. Now he tells me anytime after Wednesday. As frustrated as I was with Ed's poor business mgmt. and disinterest in doing potentially hundreds of dollars of upholstery work on my vehicle, I simply told him I would take my business elsewhere. He chuckled and said "ok" as I walked away. If you look at other reviews, you will notice others have left similar reviews. Ed has no competition in the area therefore his business thrives. The quality of work is excellent!!! But we agreed on black and gray but the seats were all black. Ed said he forgot to do the gray. He told me to bring the car in on Sept 28th and it would only take a day to do the work,but it wasn't done till 10 days later. When I came to pick up my car the top was still down with dust all in and out of the car and they were using my car for a table. I pay them to install the weather stripping and most of it was down right but some of it wasn't glue down and did point that out to Ed and he said it doesn't need glue,but you can see it does need glue. He didn't charge me he full amount for the installment of the weather stripping . They wouldn't tell me the the rear window wouldn't go up I had to find that out myself.Also they post to fix a hole on my convertible but it wasn't done. read more

I took my boat in to have him fix my engine hatch/sun deck because the wood had rotted out. The price was so reasonable that I decided to have him fix my bow seats that had tears in them around the ribbing. I went to pick it up today and he had not only fixed the hatch but also reattached the hydraulic shocks and re-stitched a portion of the sun deck. He also completely replaced a portion of the seat instead of piecing it together. I would not hesitate to take anything I own to him for upholstery work. read more

I have taken quite a few things to Ed for new upholstery. He does beautiful work but about 6 months ago I took cushions for a sofa to be redone because a dry cleaner had ruined them. I took the ruined covers as well as the cushions to Ed. I told him there was no rush but 3 months later I asked if he could finish them and I had them about 10 days later. When I took them home they were about 4 inches too short for my sofa. I took them back and found out he had used the old covers and made new ones to match them and did not make covers to fit the cushions. Long story, sorry. Ed apologized and asked me to order 5 more yards of fabric and he would re do them and pay for the fabric. I ordered the fabric and took it and the receipt to Ed and he had them done about one month later. They look great and fit perfectly now. When I went back to pick up the check to pay for the fabric he complained there was only 3 1/4 yards of fabric. He had the receipt which clearly stated 5 yards and most of it had been used. Then he said he was getting screwed on the deal ( he offered) and then he told me never to come back. He does not want to see me in there again. So, even though I think he does fine work he is a bully and an ass. There is no reason someone should be treated like this. I left 2 small cushions here 4 months ago with a hefty down payment. I was told to give him 1 week! I called 3 weeks later and was given the run around and was told they'd be ready the next week. I called again, and got the same story. Now, 4 months later, I have called 3 more times and they still don't have them ready. Each time I call they apologize and tell me next week!! I dropped boat seats off and it was a reasonable price. I asked for gray and got red and white (the original colors) I called and called and no answer. They said the gray was cut wrong so they put original color back on . They then told me my gf told them to change the color but that never happened. I showed up and they blamed the color on my gf. Ed lied to my face about the color and his wife lied, she said my gf told her to change when in fact she told my gf that she was changing the color because the seats had been there so long. If I could change the rating to minus that's what I would do. Horrible experience and I will spread the message about the horrible business. read more
