I went back a few days later and got another blueberry for pollination and also a 5 gallon butterfly bush that was healthy and gorgeous. This time 2 guts there to assist me.

When we mentioned Cotton Candy grapes, Mike said he wouldn't sell us grapes that are hard to grow and temperamental. Being first time grape growers, we had no idea...we just knew we liked to eat them from the grocery store (No wonder they're so expensive)! So knowledgeable and gave us wonderful advise on the best trees and plants for the very hot days and cold nights. Being in the country and we needed quite a few trees, and we ended up getting about 30. We bought Olive trees, Raywood Ash, Mulberry, Leyland Cypress, and fruitless Plums. All are thriving and with the advice on fertilizing and care they are huge, much taller than we expected in just a few years. We had something going after our fruitless plums this year, I sent a picture and within the hour he emailed back and told us what pest were attack (pincher bugs) and how to get rid of them. So what I love is that long after North County Trees sold us our trees, they are still there to help diagnose any issues we might have with seasonal pests. My son just bought in Pacific Palisades and is redoing all the landscaping and is seriously considering driving up here so he can use them. The prices are unbeatable.

I was coming in from out of town and planned the entire floral component of my wedding day over the phone with Kim. She made a special trip to meet me to pick up items I wanted included in my arrangements. She was more than willing to incorporate the elements I requested, from specific types of flowers and greenery I requested to antlers and candle sticks that I provided. She delivered my flowers personally to my venue on the day of my wedding and stayed to help set them up. She came up with the idea to wrap a special photo bracelet that was very sentimental to me into the base of my bouquet. All of that was done on the fly and unplanned. It was touching and made my special day even more special. She made changes to my cake topper on site as we hadn't really discussed it in great detail on the phone. It wasn't exactly as I had envisioned it so, she came up with a gorgeous topper using flowers she had brought along in case I wasn't happy with the original. Her creativity, patience and willingness to flex were so appreciated and made me feel so at ease during a very stressful time. I would highly recommend Kim and 805 Flowers. I don't know much about florals so I told Kellye in the beginning that I was going to trust her judgement and I am SO thankful that I did. Kellye is a true artist and when I saw each piece it was beyond my wildest dreams. The day of, person after person told me these were the most beautiful florals they had ever seen. To give you an idea of how Kellye will go above and beyond - we had chosen a ceremony site that I was struggling with. There was a large brown structure that looked masculine and I wanted a very feminine ceremony site. One morning I woke up in a panic (about a month before the wedding) and realized I was spending way too much money trying to cover something. I sent my planner and Kellye and frantic email and Kellye called me immediately. She was calm, reassuring, and so confident and recommended that we change the ceremony site to the lawn so that we could spend time creating the vision I had instead of hiding something we didn't like. We moved forward with this idea and it was incredible, I'm so thankful for her guidance and vision throughout this entire day.
