I was asked for an explanation regarding my cancelation of their services, if I pleased, again no response. The only individuals responsive to me were those expediting the movement of my funds to them. I emailed with questions about the 1-3% return on my accounts and heard "give it more time". Then I called to speak to my advisor...actually I wasn't sure who to call...and the response was that "That individual was no longer with Drake." I paid an absolutely HUGE amount of money in capital gains taxes in 2025. They had sold excellent stock I had purchased 30 years ago in a one-size- fits all plan I'm supposing. They did not provide any tax planning...They are a disgrace. Don't let the crumpets and tea distract you.

We thought we'd try him after receiving a postcard for a lower rate than the $250 we were paying to a local tax firm for simple household tax preparation. Turns out, Michael Leist caught errors THAT firm was making for years costing thousands!!! Michael was most helpful in correcting the errors, filed corrected returns with the State for a modest fee, and recouped us a lot of money! We were hooked and have been going ever since. Michael gets a kick out of working with clients towards goals and progress relative to tax effectiveness because he knows the rules so very well.
