I…read morehave been a patron for over 20 years, but am transitioning to another bank due to the decline in services within this branch as well as at the corporate level. The fees are significant and unfair, and the lack of staff knowlege has resulted in account errors that have been costly (depending on who you ask you will likely get a different answer). Should you make a mistake on your register (for example forget to deduct a random autopay from your balance) you will be charged $35 per item (even if the withdrawal is for less than $1) in the order they came in. Within a day this mistake will easily and unfairly cost you over $200 and common sense cannot be negotiated, and they won't consider reversing the fees no matter how silly they seem. So, if you are at any risk of making a simple mistake on your register for less than a cup of coffee, I recommend you bank elsewhere. Its unfortunate, because switching banks after 20 years is a pain but makes sense for me...because chances are I will at some point forget to add that cup of coffee to my register and I will need some understanding and grace from the person I am speaking with at my bank so that it doesn't become a $200 mistake. This is not that bank. Original review in 2018: My experience with this branch has been so good. A few months ago, I had a restaurant incorrectly charged me over $1000 on my bill (I paid with my credi/debit card). I didn't realize it until the next day when I looked at my bank account online. Aleta was so helpful in getting it all sorted out, and truly went above and beyond. Since then, I have opened a new checking account there and she as well as the other employees at this branch were so helpful. Next I will be opening a savings account there. Very appreciative of all of their help and I would definitely recommend this branch.

I recently had an issue where my car was totaled and I had to wait a bit for my insurance check. While waiting for a check, I found a car that I was anxious to buy but had to wait until my check cleared at Chase. After 48 hours, my check was still not cleared. I called Chase and they were so helpful in getting me connected with corporate, they gave me the number and extension to resolve my issue. On more than one occasion I have been in contact with... Eric? Derick? Mark? Sorry, I will edit with his name after my next visit! At any rate, he is wonderful. Very talkative and engaging while he processes my deposits and payments. I appreciate his positive demeanor when doing something tedious like going to the bank.

The casher asks me if I am a member and I say no I am in town for a funeral down the street and need to make change to pay the musicians. ($30 for three songs seems like decent thing to do.) He tells me that since I am not a member he won't help me. Remember the place is empty except for him and another teller sitting down. If you have any choice in your banking options walk across the street to the Johnson bank. Their teller was pleasant, professionally dressed and was able to help me even with out the story.
