Small practice/single physician and consistent front desk ensures that we are given personalized encounters. They even help with insurance/financial hardships, if needed. Getting appointments is usually not too difficult. But I would recommend calling for an appointment instead of walking in. All people we have recommended her to are also happy with her care and other physicians have only had good things to say. Better experience than the bigger practices with no consistency of care. Old school doctor-patient relationship....dying breed that we need more of today. Love this doctor! Hope I never have to change!

I went to AFC urgent care in lyndhurst.  What a waste of money! I wish I could get a refund for my $75 copay.  I clearly discussed my symptoms with the doctor.  I had a cough, fever, aches in my thighs, and I explained the crackling sounds when I lay down. I also told her that 10+ years ago I had bronchitis and another time I had a pneumonia.  Using the stethoscope she reassured me that my lungs were clear. (No xray) She said I had allergies and prescribed an allergy medication. After that visit I did not feel any better. In fact I felt worse. Two days later I went to my primary physician and he immediately heard the rattling sounds in my lungs and detected a pneumonia and sent me for Xrays. I got my results and my primary physician was right. He prescribed antibiotics, prednisone, and a cough medicine. Misdiagnosing a patient is unacceptable. I am not happy with AFC. I want a refund!

The last time I went for a visit, I was told to wait in my car until it was my turn for my scheduled appointment. I was there for 2 hours and the office staff was rude whenever I'd call for an update. Dr. Faugno apologized when he saw me. Just a few weeks ago, I called to schedule my annual physical. I was told I could not see the doctor until November (I called in May). I even mentioned that I had some health concerns, but the person who took my call didn't care. I even said I'd have to find another primary care doctor and she just says, "OK," and hung up. It's very hard to find a primary care provider these days. Even though he's a good doctor, his office staff lacks the decency to make his practice sufficient. If you actually can get an appointment, I'd still recommend looking elsewhere as you'll likely be disappointed at some point. I do respect the medical profession, but I do expect more care as a patient. Our lives are their hands.

Liz was impolite, arrogant, and acted like she was working in the Bronx. She had an overall unapproachable demeanor and such an unpleasant attitude. She made me very uncomfortable, so much so that I asked her to leave the exam room because I didn't feel safe or comfortable in her presence. Initially when I was brought back to the exam room, Liz began to ask questions about why I needed to be seen but asked in a manner that was not to simply data collect, and more focused on prying and probing into my health. This was highly inappropriate. Liz even began to proceed to tell me what the plan of care was and what the provider was/wasn't going to prescribe. Again, this is highly inappropriate and not within the scope of a medical assistant. When I suggested that the conversation be terminated, Liz regarded me as "sweetheart" in a very condescending and patronizing manner and stated that I didn't have to be "rude." This was her response to me after stating that I would speak about the details of my reason of visit with the provider. Liz then proceeded to storm out of the exam room and began to openly and loudly discuss my reason of visit at the clinical staff desk. The provider who was a Physician Assistant could be heard saying "well I'm not going to prescribe him anything unless he has proof of his results, and I thought he was here for a car accident anyway." This was being said in a manner that demonstrated disregard and judgment for my reason of presentation. Following this, they relaxed my door was not completely shut, and they began to speak of me in a hushed manner. in tae. One stan acrually came over to ensure that the door to my exam room was closed. I'm almost certain this was Liz. This conversation being had was outrageously inappropriate and made me feel unwelcome, and it made me concerned that I would receive subpar medical treatment. How can you trust clinical staff that is trashing you to a provider, and for that same provider to allow those biases to dictate his clinical decision making PRIOR to even meeting the patient? SCARY! If you want to experience inappropriate sassiness, judgment and condemnation and condescension, then I recommend visiting this MedRite, however if you'd like to be treated with compassion and concern in a therapeutic and healing environment, then this is NOT the place to visit. I recommend against visiting this urgent care. I also recommend that Liz be terminated as I am afraid she does not possess the skillset necessary to perform the functions of her job in a professional capacity and she is an extremely off putting and disrespectful presence which ultimately represents this urgent care so poorly. The details of my claims cannot be refuted as it was actually captured on audio recording. (Which speaks to the level of speaking volume the clinical staff were engaging in at the desk)
