DR. FOCAZIO SAVED MY LIFE!!!…read more No exaggeration here, I was hospitalized and diagnosed with low platelets late January 2025 at mountainside. Although I was complaining about my stomach they never bothered to do appropriate testing and gave me the boot with a dangerous, near infusion level platelet count (20k range) and slapped an idiopathic diagnosis on It. I rolled along for months filtering through one other gastro and decided to switch to Dr. Focazio. Within a week of thorough testing and analysis he found that I was carrying a rare and extremely deadly novel bacteria inside me that I likely got on a work trip back in November 2024. It was then treated promptly. After feeling a bit better with the bacteria being eliminated I have been experiencing after effects that I thought would never go away but I stuck close to Dr. Focazio and am finally starting to heal. I went to AFC urgent care in lyndhurst.  What a waste of money! I wish I could get a refund for my $75 copay.  I clearly discussed my symptoms with the doctor.  I had a cough, fever, aches in my thighs, and I explained the crackling sounds when I lay down. I also told her that 10+ years ago I had bronchitis and another time I had a pneumonia.  Using the stethoscope she reassured me that my lungs were clear. (No xray) She said I had allergies and prescribed an allergy medication. After that visit I did not feel any better. In fact I felt worse. Two days later I went to my primary physician and he immediately heard the rattling sounds in my lungs and detected a pneumonia and sent me for Xrays. I got my results and my primary physician was right. He prescribed antibiotics, prednisone, and a cough medicine. Misdiagnosing a patient is unacceptable. I am not happy with AFC. I want a refund!

When I came in with a nasty looking dog bite, I could tell Dr. Zeiger was genuinely concerned for my well-being. She threw everything she had at her disposal to help me but when that wasn't enough, she urged me to go to the ER. Thank God she did because things could've gotten much more serious very fast. Since then, it's always such a comfort to see Dr. Zeiger's face when I come to the Doctor's Office. My family has been in numerous times for various illnesses and we always walk out feeling taken care of. Friends and colleagues have shared the same experiences with me and I'm always recommending this location to those looking for urgent care. Please read this…read more I had a small but uncomfortable red spot at the base of my nostril (1/2 size of a dime, maybe smaller) This "doctor" took my urine, after examining my nose and sdvising me to FIRST, fill script THEN, follow up with my dermatologist. She said I'll be back in a few to provide you with paperwork, diagnosis and script. Someone came in, one of the staff members and hand me a cup and said she wants your urine to be tested - I had no idea why or how this could be when we were just together and it was about my nose. I asked him what for? He replied she will have to go over that with you. So I did it. This doctor came back in and I asked why she took my urine and she said, I almost don't believe I'm writing this, I've run several tests for STDs. I absolutely lost my mind! First of all who the hell is she to question anything like that she would need to ask me some questions about my sexual activity, I asked her what STDs has to do with my nose she had no answer. I left there and for some strange reason since it had been burning under my nose I figured let me fill this prescription Huge mistake! I was then in a situation where I was given a VERY strong, dangerous ointment which resulted in a SEVERE infection - taking the entire side of my face over & according to my dermatologist exasperating anything that could have been wrong to begin with as well as causing this to be 1 DAY away from my bloodstream. I would happily recommend him if you need iv antibiotics. My GP doctor and my gastrointestinal doctor both recommended him. I also want to warn dog lovers to be very careful if your dog loves to lick you. Dogs carry a bacteria in their saliva which can easily cause a nasty infection if they lick a scratch, bug bite or blister. That infection is resistant to standard pill antibiotics and hard to get rid of.
