I felt like he would have spent an hour answering my questions prior to and after the procedure if I continued, but all in, he made no assumptions on my knowledge and both he and his assistant were operating at an extremely well choreographed level that made it clear they knew what they were doing and never rushed. A place I don't really want to have to come back to... but if I need to, it would certainly be here with this Endo.

My dentist is closed on Fridays, so when I called their emergency line, they referred me to Drs. Mocknick and Way, P.C. If I weren't in so much pain, I would have waited until next week. Bottom line, Dr. Mocknick is a seasoned expert who talked me through what he was doing the whole time and took extra time to ensure I was feeling no pain before beginning the procedure. It's clear he cares about people, and about doing a great job. I don't know why Yelp says this business is closed. Strange. (Today is 4/4/14.)

So i packed up my bag and headed off to Dr. Dellork with a very nervous stomach. However, i was put at ease as soon as i sat in the chair. Both him and his assisstant were extremely friendly. He kept me updated on everything he was doing, but also told me to stop him if it got to be too much. We cracked jokes about the Red Sox and Yankees and talked about teaching high school. I think what reassured me the most was when he said "Dont worry about the root canal, it can't be more painful than teaching high school'. The first part of the procedure seemed to be instaneous. It didn't hurt and i had a nice novacaine buzz going on until about 9pm. But he gave me prescriptions for antibiotics and heavy duty pain medicine should i need it, which i really appreciated. People tell stories about root canals, but i have to say that i think Dr. Dellork made it one of the easiest experiences i've ever had.

But Dr. Alan Lee and his staff made short work of the difficult procedure and I could not be more pleased with the result. The aspect of this visit that made it worth reviewing in a public forum is that I had several questions and worries about the treatment/procedure, and was able to engage Dr. Lee directly and privately on those, and he responded immediately, clearly, expansively, and kindly. This is what we should look for in a health care provider. Someone we can trust. I would think that anybody could count on EE and the professionals there for exceptional medical care and, atop that, actual care for you as a human being.
