I had to make numerous attempts, at least five, before I was finally able to pay for my appointment. It was a frustrating and time-consuming process. Making the appointment itself was no less of a hassle. Due to my specific needs, I had to schedule two separate appointments - one over the phone and the other in person. After my first appointment, I sent an email to the doctor to clarify some questions I had, but I never received a response. It was incredibly unprofessional and left me feeling ignored and unheard. Finally, I managed to schedule my second appointment for a Friday at 9:20 am. However, on the morning of the appointment, around 8 am, I received a text message saying they couldn't accommodate me and needed to reschedule. The lack of timely notice was extremely frustrating, especially since I had made plans and arrangements for this appointment. When I called to inquire about rescheduling, the earliest they could offer was the following Tuesday during my work hours. Their lack of flexibility and urgency in resolving the issue was disappointing. What made matters worse was that they only offered me another appointment after I requested a refund. It seemed as though they were only willing to accommodate me because I had requested my money back. At that point, I had lost confidence in their ability to provide the quality of care I needed. I felt that my appointment would be rushed and potentially prone to mistakes or negligence. Additionally, there may have been other individuals who required the appointment slot more urgently than I did. The most disheartening part of this entire experience was that I had initially hoped to establish this medical office as my primary healthcare provider. Unfortunately, their lack of communication, poor organization, and disregard for my time have completely deterred me. The only positive aspect I can mention is that the staff, particularly the ladies at the office, maintained a professional demeanor, despite the evident frustration among them. Overall, I would strongly advise against considering this medical office. The issues I encountered with their online payment system, scheduling process, lack of responsiveness, and untimely cancellation notice demonstrate a complete lack of professionalism and respect for patients. I will be looking elsewhere for a reliable and competent healthcare provider. I did get 1/2 my refund back.

There was confusion between the clinic and our insurance regarding eligibility and provider listing on the insurance card. We were told the visit could only proceed as self-pay, so we agreed in order for my husband to be seen. During the visit, there were repeated delays while the office attempted to verify insurance, including coordination with our insurance provider. After the visit, we requested that the claim be submitted to our PPO insurance for processing. However, the office refused to submit the claim through insurance and stated it would remain self-pay, despite our PPO coverage and confirmation from our insurance company regarding eligibility. Overall, the care itself was completed, but the billing process and communication regarding insurance were very difficult and not clearly handled. We are still trying to resolve the billing issue through our insurance.

Sutter Health Pediatrics Office:…read more Three stars given--Dr. Whitney has been great, but the inconsistency in care with another doctor brought down the overall experience. I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Dr. Marisela Madrigal. My baby's appointment was scheduled for 4:45pm, and I arrived at 4:55pm--10 minutes late. While I understand the policy to arrive early, the way she handled the situation was rude, dismissive, and lacked empathy. Instead of approaching it with understanding, she spoke in a condescending tone about how I should have been there at 4:30pm. She then asked if I "just needed a refill" and implied that was all she would do, rather than actually seeing my baby. This was especially frustrating because I had already tried to request the refill through CVS, and Sutter required my baby to be seen. My baby has an ongoing diaper rash, and the prescribed cream is the only thing that works. As a parent, managing timing with a baby isn't always perfect--but being 10 minutes late does not justify being treated poorly or having your concerns dismissed. I wasn't significantly late, yet she repeatedly emphasized that the appointment was only 15 minutes, as if that was all she was willing to offer. What stood out most was the lack of compassion. It felt like because I was late, my baby's care was no longer a priority--which is concerning in a medical setting. Also, the way she spoke to me was not okay. She talked to me as if I were a child, which was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional--especially in front of my baby. The way she acted in front of her was completely inappropriate and honestly not the kind of behavior any parent would want their child exposed to. Is this really how patients are treated? Her facial expressions matched her tone--cold and dismissive--which made the interaction even more uncomfortable. I remained calm and respectful, but the experience was upsetting. I would not feel comfortable seeing her again and would not recommend Dr. Madrigal based on this experience. Dr. Whitney has been absolutely wonderful for my baby. He is always kind, patient, and genuinely attentive during every visit. You can tell he truly cares--not just about treating symptoms, but about making sure both baby and parent feel heard and comfortable. He takes the time to listen to concerns, answer questions thoroughly, and never makes you feel rushed. As a parent, that level of attentiveness and reassurance means everything. It's not always easy finding a doctor you fully trust with your child, but Dr. Whitney has consistently been reliable, compassionate, and professional. I'm very grateful to have him as my baby's doctor and would highly recommend him to any parent looking for someone who truly cares.

Dr. Joshi takes the time to meet with the family which is unprecedented in this field, and his kindness and serenity meant so much. Dindo Bustrillos was my Mom's nurse and it's hard to fully articulate how wonderful he was, is, and always will be!! His expert knowledge, compassion, patience, good humor, and beauty of spirit were there every day, and I mean EVERY day!! His medical knowledge is bar none - simply outstanding. And, his nurturing presence made such a huge difference as the days wore on and became more difficult. I don't know how Dindo is able to retain and exude joy and caring in such a difficult profession -- the fact that he can hold so much and help during the most harrowing times in such an impactful way is astounding. Thank you so very much to Dindo and Redwood Hospice for your help during the most difficult life transition I can imagine. I am forever grateful.

He saved my partner in crime from having to be hospitalized for weeks in a hospital when the Covid 19 was rampant. He checked on him weekly and gave him hope that this too shall pass. His recovery due to pneumonia and sepsis took months and Dr. Newman was there every step of the way. As for me, I have been a patient for decades.
