I recently had a terrible experience with a medical office while trying to schedule a physical exam. To begin with, their online payment system was an absolute nightmare. I had to make numerous attempts, at least five, before I was finally able to pay for my appointment. It was a frustrating and time-consuming process. Making the appointment itself was no less of a hassle. Due to my specific needs, I had to schedule two separate appointments - one over the phone and the other in person. After my first appointment, I sent an email to the doctor to clarify some questions I had, but I never received a response. It was incredibly unprofessional and left me feeling ignored and unheard. Finally, I managed to schedule my second appointment for a Friday at 9:20 am. However, on the morning of the appointment, around 8 am, I received a text message saying they couldn't accommodate me and needed to reschedule. The lack of timely notice was extremely frustrating, especially since I had made plans and arrangements for this appointment. When I called to inquire about rescheduling, the earliest they could offer was the following Tuesday during my work hours. Their lack of flexibility and urgency in resolving the issue was disappointing. What made matters worse was that they only offered me another appointment after I requested a refund. It seemed as though they were only willing to accommodate me because I had requested my money back. At that point, I had lost confidence in their ability to provide the quality of care I needed. I felt that my appointment would be rushed and potentially prone to mistakes or negligence. Additionally, there may have been other individuals who required the appointment slot more urgently than I did. The most disheartening part of this entire experience was that I had initially hoped to establish this medical office as my primary healthcare provider. Unfortunately, their lack of communication, poor organization, and disregard for my time have completely deterred me. The only positive aspect I can mention is that the staff, particularly the ladies at the office, maintained a professional demeanor, despite the evident frustration among them. Overall, I would strongly advise against considering this medical office. The issues I encountered with their online payment system, scheduling process, lack of responsiveness, and untimely cancellation notice demonstrate a complete lack of professionalism and respect for patients. I will be looking elsewhere for a reliable and competent healthcare provider. I did get 1/2 my refund back. read more

If I could give these "QUACKS " a negative rating I would. Their staff sucks you can't understand ANY of them INCLUDING the so called doctors. I had 2 blood work tests done and they both came back with white blood cell count sky high and I feel terrible and the doctor kept telling me I'm fine turn off my phone and make the room dark to go to sleep. Been going there for 3 years! Have given them multiple chances to fix problems! But seriously would not recommend this Dr's office both the husband and wife is nice but they never read my file before they come in! I always wait at least 30min( as if my time don't matter) I had a rash that didn't want to heal and went in twice only for one of the dr to tell me I have shingles, which was absolutely bs! They never call back with lab results! The biggest problem is the staff not passing on messages to the dr! One of the staff member has actually even had the brain wave to lie to me once and I caught her in the lie and called her out! I also can't believe the negative reviews on here... I have never had a bad experience with Dr. Nimisha Shah. I grew up in Morgan Hill and started seeing Dr. Shah when I was 16 or 17. I moved to San Jose/Campbell 5 years ago and have continued to see her for my medical needs despite the 20-30 minute drive. Dr. Shah has always been friendly, professional, quick, and right to the point, which I really like. I have always been able to get a same day appointment when I've been sick. Once I was even told that I could just walk in and would be seen. I don't think I would ever do that, but it's sure nice to know that I have that option! Nothings worse than your own doctor telling you they can't see you when you really need them. I also recently attended nursing school which required numerous testings, titers, and vaccinations before I could start my clinicals. Those were all done quickly on a walk in basis, never there longer than 10 mins or so, which made it really convenient with my hectic school and work schedule. Other students in my class told me they had to spend over 2 hours at kaiser or other medical offices just to get a simple PPD shot! Even if the drive took an hour, I would still continue to see Dr. Nimisha Shah. read more

Jeez guys. I do not normally leave Yelp reviews, but seeing some of the negative reviews below baffles me. Dr. Devang Shah and Dr. Nimisha Shah are the most honest and straightforward physicians I have ever met and are a blessing to our MH community. They have taken care of my entire family for the last 6 years, and we are all so thankful. Over the years, here are a few things I have observed: - They do not perform unnecessary tests or prescribe unnecessary medications. - They always quickly and efficiently address our health problems in a manner that makes us feel heard. - They do not BS us, always telling us the information straight. - Even though their practice is extremely busy, they still manage to squeeze us in on a walk-in basis if we need it. To those of you who are deciding which doctor to manage your health based on Yelp reviews, proceed with caution. Deciding your doc ain't like deciding where to grab a bite to eat. What the patient wants and what's best for the patient do not always align. I can't speak for anyone else, but the Dr. Shahs have always done what's best for us. Exsqueeeze me but this joint is the epitome of bad service. I previously came in because I was having intense abdominal pain and Dr. Shah told me I had a UTI - despite not having any other symptoms - so, as an oblivious and obedient patient I took the whole course of antibiotics and the pain continued. I then had to ask for an ultrasound and then was told that they'd let me know about results. After not hearing back, i called in and asked them to email or fax results which they said they could do. But, of course, these peeps did not follow through. I ended up having to drive down there and the awful receptionist just handed it to me without any info on follow up and when asking all she told me was that the doctor would look at it and then call me back.obvi, that didn't happen. When I called back in for a follow up appt they tried to book me out forever away - despite the continuing pain that was inhibiting me from even being able to drive myself around. Finally got in and this dude looks it over legit in the moment and dismisses it. Welllllp, now that it's all over I can officially say I will NEVER be back. Late. read more

I called ahead *two* times to check if they took my insurance, and I was assured both times that they did. I was very careful to ask about this. I made an appointment for the same day and was pleased that they were able to get me in with Dr Nimisha Shah. I went in to the De Paul Health Center, and was struck by the apocalyptic wasteland vibe. It felt abandoned. Almost no one was there. That didn't bother me much at the time since I figured it meant less waiting. When I arrived I went to the counter, I handed them my insurance card. The woman working there told me that they didn't accept that insurance and I could pay cash or leave. She was incredibly, incredibly rude. I told her I called ahead and that they verified it over the phone. It was clearly her I had spoken to before. I recognized her voice. She looked me in the eye and lied and said that no one told me that. So I left. I could have paid cash but the attitude of the staff really bothered me. I didn't say anything or tell her off (though I really wanted to). It's been eating at me though, so I thought I would write this review to warn others in advance. I felt insulted and ashamed by the whole experience, even though I did nothing wrong. Service is awful, and you can't trust information they give you over the phone about insurance. My theory is that medical professionals who are skilled just don't work in this crazy place. If you want to interact with professionals, do yourself a favor and avoid Dr. Shah's office. read more

I brought my 89 year old father to Dr Devang Shah, my dad had fallen a week earlier and tore his forearm up real bad, a very large wound. Dr Shah's first words to him was "I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU NO BANDAGES!!!". I was shocked at his bedside manner, my dad was a mild and meek person with a kind heart,he replied "OK I am sorry". Dr Shah grabbed the bandage and violently ripped it off of his arm, my dad yelled ouch!, the Dr's response to his pain was "I told you no bandages after a week!". He was super rude and it is obvious he hates caring for people. He acted like I was not there and did not speak to me. My dad said this is a Bad Doctor and I agreed and said you will never see him again. Watch out for this guy, caring and compassion are not in his job description.He cant even fake it! read more

DEVANG SHAH, M.D. Hello fellow Yelpers, To start off I have never felt so belittled in my life. Every question I had concerning my health led to Doctor Shah being very short with me and treating me in a very condescending way. To be honest I was afraid to ask him any questions because every question I asked seemed to piss him off. All the doctor was willing to do for me was referring me to a specialist and to kick my ass out of his office with a bill in my pocket for his precious time. He made it very clear to me that he did not want to hear any of my issues and even if he did hear them he would not attempt to even try to have an answer for me. Doctor Shah showed very little concern and compassion towards my health and quality of life. He acted as if though I was working for him and not the other way around.I finally asked the doctor as to what his purpose was in helping me with my health. After all I was being forced out of his office with more questions than answers and it just didn't seem right. I asked Doctor Shah why I even needed him around if all he could do was rush me out the door and charge me for something I could've done myself using Google. Doctor Shah in a visibly upset way told me that we could end the appointment and that he would not charge me the co-pay for the visit. He reminded me that he lost his time (10 minutes) with me but that it didn't matter and showed me the door. I have news for Doctor Shah, I lost an hour with you and I still have yet to have my health concerns met! He ended the appointment right there and then. He was a real disappointment and it was pointless to continue forward with him. The fact that this "doctor" could care less about my health really left me feeling ashamed for opening up to him. This place is no good , their service is horrible wants to bill you for everything . I have a nail condition and dr shah had blood work done and said I had some vitamin deficiencies and was put on a regimen of vitamin d, e, biotin and iron . After 3 months I came back did another blood test and had to pay co pay for 3 minutes of her time and said everything was still the same - continue your vitamins and come back 3 months later guess what ? 3 months later it was the same story . Needless to say after that visit I cancelled my appointment and will not be coming back . But hey guess what they're billing as a specialist to my insurance and it's happened every single time . And every time single time I have to waste valuable time (20-30 minutes) with insurance to get it cleared up. I hate this place . Dr Nismisha Shah is a very attentive doctor and I have been seeing her for well over 10 years. I moved out of Morgan Hill 6 years ago and I still see Dr. Shah, even if it's a 2 hour drive. I don't think you could ask for a better Dr and I appreciate her professionalism. read more

I love going to Dr. Shah. She always gives me her full attention and is very conservative (I.e. I don't get a round of antibiotics for every sniffle and ear ache, which I appreciate). Whenever I go in there, she listens to me and thinks about what I've said before making a diagnostic recommendation. Whenever I have test results, she calls me if there is a problem and I can always check the patient portal if I have questions. I think it's all about how proactive you are with your own health. If You believe in taking charge of your own health and want a doctor who will support you in that, Dr. Shah is a great choice. read more

These people are crooks! I was new to Morgan hill, I went in last April 2017 to get a typhoid shot for a trip to Asia mostly for the sake of convenience. The doctors office made me pay up front $125 and said that insurance will reimburse me. I filed with insurance who agreed the shot is covered however insurance said the Morgan Hill internal medicine doctors were not supposed to charge me up front. After many letters and attempts to call them over a course of more than a year to get refunded from both me and my insurance company, we get no response. The kicker in this is that my insurance told me the doctors tried to file a claim to get that money too, essentially trying to double dip! If you live locally, don't get tempted to seek medical attention from the husband wife "doctor" team of Nimisha Shah, because they are one of the few local doctors in Morgan hill. It's worth commuting to San Jose or to another area to get medical attention. Don't get poor service and get ripped off by these greedy self centered doctors. read more

Dr Devang Shah, was very nice and informative. after suffering from the flu for a few days I was able to get a same day appt on a Friday afternoon. A hard thing to get , this day and age. He was patient and explained everything to me, the girls up front were kind and helpful as well. I would recommend him to anyone and will go back again. read more

AGREED very brief in the office. I was sent for a mamogram-I was called AT WORK by the office that I needed to make a new appt regarding the results of the mamogram. They couldn't get me in for a month or 6 weeks. I was scared to death the way it was handled-the secretness of the test results...they "couldn't discuss it over the phone". I was obviously scared, asked couldn't/shouldn't I be seen sooner and they couldn't have cared less. I thought I had cancer. I went to my appt, and was there a minute-to be told my test was fine. Who the hell does that? 2 appts were enough for me. I've never been called back in when test results were fine. I get a phone call..."Your test results were fine" Nice that in order to assure themselves another office fee, they scared a patient for over a month. Dr. Joyce and Noni will take good care of you. I never thought of writing a review for a doctor on Yelp, but I have been inspired as I'm looking for a doctor for my mom and understand the importance of referrals. Dr. Shah was pleasant, but not overwhelmingly attentive when trying to explain symptoms for an accurate diagnosis. She went through the standard protocol of requesting tests when needed for my dad when he was a patient years ago, but I found it appalling that she gave me the news that my dad had stomach cancer over the phone while I was running errands with him. I think that would qualify as life-altering news that should have been given during an office visit. read more

I found Dr. Nimisha Shah office when I searched under Urgent Care on Google, and was glad when they told me to come right down to their office. I had a back injury and was in "severe" pain. When she came into the exam room she asked me two questions about my back and 20 questions about my overall health, including when I had my last Mammogram and Paps Smear. Then is got weird... as we were wrapping up she asked why did I come to her office, was it for the injury or would I be coming to her for all my health needs. She said she needed to know so she could inform the front desk to set up some appointments. I was taken aback and said I didn't know (and to tell the truth, I was IN SO MUCH PAIN that I didn't care to think about it at that moment!!!) She did a quick (60 seconds, tops) exam and said nothing was wrong. She recommended ice and to take 4 Advils every 6 hours, which I did. However, the advil burned my stomach... After a HORRIBLE night of shocking pain with every movement, I called her office to let her know that the advil wasn't working, but more importantly, that the bottom of my foot was going numb!! She said just switch from Advil to Tylenol!! WOW!! REALLY?? I asked for a name of an doctor that maybe dealt with ligament/tendon damage and she said it wouldn't help... I have NEVER had such a NEGATIVE experience with a physician before. I called my regular doctor and told him all about the "urgent care" fiasco and mercifully his office promptly made an appointment for me. Overall it was a pretty bad experience!! I've been going here for about ten years now and have seen both Dr. Nimisha Shah and Dr. Devang Shah. I have always been very happy with both of them and highly recommend them! Even after moving away, if it is not an urgent medical issue, I try to wait until I am back in town to see a doctor so that I can go to them. There have been a few times where I have been to different doctors for various issues, and they were the only ones that were able to identify my problem and fix it. read more

Not impressed.. Regardless of why I originally went to Dr. Devang Shah I just have to say none of his recommendations worked, some actually made my symptoms worse! But worse of all it took him over a month to call me back with lab results! I had to call in 4 times before I actually got a call from the Dr. When I called asking for results nobody asked how I was doing.. Every time I called the doctor was not even in the office and they told me to call back instead of having him call me, actually the first time I called was a week after my visit (they origionally told me to expect a call with results within 1-4 days since it was a thursday) and the receptionist said she would give him a message that I called asking for results.. Waited another week and called back after not hearing from them! When I finally got a call from the Dr. It turned out there was something wrong with my labs and I did need a perscription.. So for over a month while I was getting worse I could have had my meds and gotten better.. Oh and on top of waiting so long for results the Dr. Wanted to re-run my labs... Why?? so I can wait another month and continue getting worse?? No thank you! I asked for my rx to be called in and I will not be going back there... read more

If I could give no stars I would. If anyone knows of this office has a manager please let me know!! I need to speak with someone in charge of the staff!! Each time we've gone in they state they don't have any insurance information on file which shows lack of efficiency and inability to maintain our files updated because our insurance is the same. So the fact they we always have to give them the same card shows they don't maintain our file correctly. Not sure why they cannot save the information. Second, we have $0 co-pay, but somehow we always end up with the entire bill mailed to us. Each time we call the insurance they state the office is not billing correctly. When the staff answers the phone they state "The doctor said if you don't pay by the end of this week he will send you collections". Why would you say that instead of attempting to get the bill sent to the insurance correctly? They state they don't know where they placed our insurance card and want us to drive to the office only have them take a copy it !Again!. We have attempted to fix billing issues with the staff of this office for over a year. I've asked to speak to a manager but coincidentally there's never one available. I've asked them to bill the insurance and close our file since we don't ever plan on returning. However we still receive the same bill that the insurance states needs to be billed correctly by the staff. read more

Anyone contemplating an association with this firm should be prepared to check all statements rendered very carefully. Especially older patients. We have had two checks held for 40 days each and then cashed using an individuals name rather than being deposited in the firms bank account. The credits for the checks never were shown on our statements. In other words the money was fraudulently withheld from credit to our account. read more

Please do NOT go to Dr. Nimisha Shah. This review is not based on just one patient, but two. Patient #1 - my daughter. She hurt her foot playing sports. Shah barely looked at her for 5 minutes and said she was fine. We ended up seeing another doctor and lo and behold, doctor #2 gave her an x-ray and she had a stress fracture. Patient #2 - my mom. We had to insist she perform a baseline test to determine if she had dementia - for some reason Shah was resisting, and finally determined she had it. Then, without notifying us and for no apparent reason, she changed/upped her medication which my mom reacted horribly to and we had to take her to emergency. Even after being in the hospital/rehab for almost a month, we found out she still hadn't taken her off the medication. My mom passed away shortly after that. I truly believe my Mom would have lived much longer had we gone to a different doctor. Please don't make the same mistake. Go elsewhere. read more

My wife and I have been patient's of Dr. Shah's for the last few years. We were very pleased to find such a knowledgeable physician in Morgan Hill. More than any other doctor I've ever had, she is accessible at a moment's notice. She has always been very thorough and always explains everything in detail. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about medications, and how they interact. She refers me to specialists when needed. I referred my brother to her and he is also very happy with her. We consider Dr. Nimisha Shah a very good doctor, and we are glad to be under her care. read more

When I tried to resolve it, her staff was extremely rude. It was a small amount and most doctors would at least have returned my calls, but she didn't bother to even call to see why I was upset. read more

Dr. Nimisha Shah has been taking care of my now 85 year old mother since 2007. Dr. Shah is a very kind and compassionate person and doctor. She listens to us (hard to do when the patient is 85) and always gives full explanations about everything. She has taken care of my mom several times in the hospital. She has given us information to help keep my mom out of the hospital and sees her whenever necessary. Dr. Shah carefully monitors my mother's medication and coordinates care with the cardiologist. I truly believe that due to her diligence, compassion and care, Dr. Nimisha Shah has prolonged life for my mother. She also has filled out countless forms and has written letters to help us with Medicare, long term care and assisted living. Morgan Hill is very fortunate to have such a wonderful person and caring doctor. read more

the front office is terrible. you could be very ill and if your late they will turn you away. very argumentative when you have a bill that is due. dr wont talk to you about billing and the person doing the billing says talk to the dr. although the doc is ok....he needs better front desk help. read more
