Very Dissappointing. Had edwards air come out to see why my AC was not working. I had to go to work so I arranged a window of 3p-5p when a 10a-noon window was available. I received a call from jimmy (the tech)and merill the salesman at 1pm telling me that he was "here". I informed him that our window was from 3p-5p and I was not available yet. He stated, "well I'm here now". I told him where he could find the compressor and blower and that he could take a look now and I would try to leave early. 45 Minutes later jimmy and merill calls me, says, "I got it up and running but you really need a new one". Ok I say. "What's a new one run?" "$6200, $6400, or $8200" depending on which one you get and which efficiency you want but today's service is free if you buy one." he says... Then I ask, "what do I owe you for today?" "$475" he says. Mind you he has been at the house for 45 minutes...... I say you've been there less than an hour, how do you come to nearly $500?", "Well I had to re-wire the unit and add freon and its's $90 for the service call." Then he went into high pressure on buying a new one. I felt completely uncomfortable with these strong sales tactics. and told him I'd let him know on the new one. He asked who he should collect nearly $500 from and I asked him to bill me. At no point did he get approval for repairs or anything, this was a calculated way to commit me to purchasing a new unit or getting an outrageous fee for the repair. Reading there, mostly positive reviews on Google, I called the owner/manager of the company three times but have not been contacted back. The next few days, I received multiple bids, one from Dana's, one from Air Experts, and one other (I can't remember the name). A comparable one to the $6,200 one that Edwards air tried to get me to buy was spec's by Dana's at about ~$4,700, the one I can't remember ~$3,800 and Air Experts ~$3600. My AC system was replaced but not by Edwards air . They clearly have a huge marketing budget and it's funded by the heavy sales tactics be very careful with Merill and jimmy the tech, I'd stay away. read more

Would never use these guys again.I Had Edwards air service our 3yr old air conditioning system and thought things went well. System was good and life went on. Six weeks later it's not cooling. Called them to come out and check and the tech said it was a leaking elbow, but he could fix it. I thought they were reputable, so I said go ahead. About 90 minutes later he rang the bell and said everything was good and system was cooling. Said I was in the system and they would email me the bill. Boy was I surprised when I received a bill for $660 to sweat solder two fittings and charge the system. Have made multiple calls to talk to someone about the bill. The lady in billing named barbie said I would have to talk to the owner ed, who seems to be gone a lot. Left repeated messages and missed one call from ed, but then he was gone again. Was last told he would call when he returned , but no call. I understand the higher cost for a service call $95. I didn't understand the cost of $273 to sweat to fittings. What I really could not understand was the charge for 7lbs of Freon fr $293 to charge a system that holds 3.2lbs. I guess customer service is not high of Edwards air to do list. Will not be calling them back or recommending them to anyone. read more

I started off having called a different local company in Jupiter for a service call, but felt that they were trying to take advantage of me. They gave me an extremely high estimate on the repair and was pushing me to buy a new system. So I decided to call Edwards for a 2nd opinion. Edwards arrived on time and the technician introduced himself and began his diagnosis. He explained what he was doing in simple terms I could understand and was able to determine the problem. He told me what the repair cost would be asked if I wanted him to begin the repair. They were $550 cheaper then the original company that came out. I also asked if they recommended me replacing. He explained that my system was only 5 years old and that it was in good condition and to keep up with my yearly Maintenance, which I switched over to Edwards. I asked if they could check my duct work, which they did and they found a small leak which they fixed for me at no charge. I couldn't be happier with the Customer Service and Professionalism. This will be my new AC company and I will recommend to friends/family. read more

About 6 1/2 months ago I hired Edwards air to redo my duct work. About a week ago the air just didn't seem to be blowing, today I made a trip into my attic to see what might be the problem. The reason: sagging ductwork, ducts folding back on themselves, ducts crossed and lying on top of one another. A total amateur job. This was on top of a service call for a noise coming from the package unit (prior to seeing the mess in the attic). I was told by Meril my unit was old and not a good quality. I then asked what was a good quality system and how long should it work? The answer I was given was American Standard and about 10 to 15 years. My response was my unit was an American Standard and only 7 years old. Shame. I called another company and it was a bad bearing and fixed very inexpensively. Not the company I used for almost 20 years at my other house. We bought an air conditioner for our townhouse from Edwards Air . A few months later, we couldn't figure out why we were getting bad allergies so we paid Edwards air to come out but they found nothing. So we paid a different company to come out and they immediately discovered that the duct work was open- it hadn't been connected properly when Edwards Air installed the unit, so all the dust and mold was just going into the ductwork with no filter. So we had to pay for visits from technicians, plus $500 to have the ductwork cleaned of allergens. Now, two years later, the other company noticed that the sensor pipe was glued on when it was installed, which will cost money to fix. Also the condenser is leaking, and there is physical damage on the cooling ribs which could have happened during installation or at the Trane factory. IVE HAD TO CALL EDWARDS AIR MORE THAN A FEW TIMES BACK AS WHEN I USED THE OTHER COMPANY THEY TOOK CARE OF THE ISSUE VERY QUICKLY BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS COMPANY. read more

I got home today and my AC wasn't working. I called the company just after 5pm expecting to leave a message and hope someone got back to me or having to deal with a Call center. Instead, their friendly dispatcher and was able to put a tech in route to my home and had him here by 5:45. The tech asked me some questions and then began his diagnosis of the problem. He showed me his readings on his meter and explained what the issue is. I was worried I would have to wait for parts to be ordered and then have to take a day off work to have them come back and fix the problem. They had the part on the truck and gave me the estimate. The price was very reasonable and he got me up and running within an hour. I had a great experience, and the best thing was that unlike my experience with some other companies they didn't try to upsell me. read more

I cant say enough good things about Edwards Air, I had a flood in my house from a leak in my air conditioner. I called a couple of places and they could not come for at least 2 days, I couldnt wait that long so I called Edwards Air and I am so thankful they came out to my house in less than 2hrs, not only did they repair the leak but they were kind enough to help me clean up the mess and the Technician was very sweet, clean cut & knew his job! he told me what caused the problem and how to prevent it with having maintenance twice a year, and did not over charge me AT ALL! Run as fast as you can..... They are crooks and thieves!!! Please be careful of there representative called MERILL he is a crook and likes to push sales They replaced my AC unit and the unit blocked my sidewalk to the back of my home. I told them it was blocking the only access to my back yard. I paid $3450 out the $6300 and said until they replaced the unit I was not going to pay any more. I asked for a refund and they removed the unit from my yard, but NO REFUND. The owner ED called me and said there are no smaller units which is a out right lie.
