Was referred through an AEP energy audit as Energy Tech is one of their preferred and "well…read morereviewed" contractors. Unfortunately, the work never progressed past the estimate. Communication issues with the main office abounded starting with scheduling the estimate. Once I was finally able to schedule, the estimator was unable to wrap his head around a request for two separate estimates: one for attic work and one for basement work--he twice had to redo the estimates and they still weren't done correctly. At that point, he said that he needed to check with the owners and that they would call back that day. He also left a flashlight at my house, which I called the office and left a message notifying them that I had left it outside for the estimator to pick up at his convenience. One week later after radio silence and no flashlight pickup, I had to call them back and leave another message. Finally got a call back, asking when I wanted to schedule an estimate. Another several calls back and forth and I still don't have a correct estimate and I'm likely out a $250 credit from AEP as well. Bottom line: until communication issues are fixed, it appears that Energy Tech isn't all that interested in taking new clients!

They also scheduled a free Columbia Gas energy audit for us. After we hired them to do the job, they are were respectful of us and our home, showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves. They even filed all the paperwork for us to get a sizeable rebate check from Columbia Gas! Amazing! After the workday, we noticed a few bubbles in our interior wall. We called them up and they came back out to take a look. Turns out the blowing in of insulation had dislodged some drywall nails which in turn hit the layers of paint, popping out a bubble on the wall. Though this wasn't exactly their fault, they paid to have it fixed anyways. Really great experience working with Energy Tech and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to insulate their home.

Before he started we chatted briefly about what my goals were and why I was interested in the audit. We came up with three goals and went from there. He tested the air quality of my home and did a blower door test. We found some surprising areas that was losing heat and were inefficient. He was helpful in ideas for quick home fixes to making a list of problem areas to focus on. I was pleased with the whole experience. I wouldn't have realized energy audits were a thing until I spoke with a co-worker who recently had one conducted. I am glad I got one done on my home. Hopefully this will help save some money in the winter once I start getting some of these projects checked off the list. Thank you to Greene Solutions for your help getting me sorted out!

I was looking for a roofer and started with going on the internet and reading reviews then I…read morevisited each website. I was impressed with how Bone Dry presented themselves and just had a good feeling about calling them. They setup an appointment with a salesman Gordon Rodgers and he was very nice and helpful with determining what the house needed and what we wanted to be done. Price was reasonable and we received discounts depending on certain things which helped. Scheduling was easy. The day before the roofing crew came out I was given a courtesy call who to expect and supervisors name . The next day the crew came out and began working at once to make sure things would be covered for safety to the landscape and windows. Program director appeared to make sure the crew was on schedule and helped out with getting things hauled away from clearing the roof. Supervisor came to help with directing the actual install of the roof and later the chimney flashing. When all was finished , the crew did an exceptional cleanup up of the surroundings . Appreciated their bosses came out to check on how things were coming along and if I had any questions. Liked the fact that pictures of each step of the process were forwarded to me until they were done. Work was done nicely and very satisfied. . They were polite on the phone, the inspectors did a thorough job and gave an excellent sales pitch. I signed the contract to hire them and chose shingles. And then I've never heard from them again. I keep phoning to try to schedule my new roof and they just say someone will call "soon". We've certainly passed soon. It's reaching the point where I may need to get legal help to break the contract so I can hire another company.

I am thrilled with my experience. We had our crawl space insulated and encapsulated. Everything…read morewas done exactly as described, on the date promised and no attempts to get more $$. The sales person was efficient, thorough and honest. The installers were friendly and kept our home clean while working and cleaned up after themselves. Photos attached of the finished job. Also, that musty smell is GONE in the basement that is adjacent to the crawl space. When you look at the photos, bear in mind we insulated between the joists ourselves.

We are so grateful to Muth Roofing for the excellent work they have done on our 1931 house over the…read moreyears. In 2001, we hired Arrow Roofing because they weren't too expensive. After several years of replastering and repainting the third floor after leaks, none of which were fixed permanently by Arrow, we paid Muth thousands of dollars to fix all the roof problems and install new gutters, gutter covers and downspouts. No more problems! A few weeks ago, they replaced our roof and did a terrific job. I was especially impressed, during the estimate process, that Chad Muth noticed nail pops and cracks on our finished third floor ceiling and realized they were a sign of poor ventilation. He climbed into the insulation-filled parts of our attic to diagnose the problem and come up with a solution. The poor ventilation is most likely the reason our shingles failed prematurely. They sent over an energetic crew of 5 who got the job done in two long days. They were polite, the crew boss spoke English, and they did a good job cleaning up. During the job, Chad or one of the other supervisors popped over frequently to check on the progress of the job, and Chad came over afterwards to discuss our 50-year transferable warranty and make sure everything was okay. The roof looks great, there are no leaks, and the attic now has good ventilation.

Muth & Company put a new roof on my house and refuses to fix the problems they caused. They cut…read moregaps in the decking at the peak, realized their mistake, and then just covered the gaps with shingles without replacing the wood they cut out. They left a bathroom ceiling vent unconnected to its roof vent, causing all of the moisture from the bathroom to vent into the attic instead of outside. They installed only half a ventilation system (the exhaust half), claiming they have no obligation to meet the building code requirement of making sure the other half of the ventilation (intake air) was supplied by soffit/eave vents. My soffit vents were blocked. The Muth warranty requires them to comply with the building code. The holes in the roof, the bathroom venting into the attic, and the blocked soffit vents caused black mold to grow in my attic. When I made a warranty claim, Muth wanted me to pay for the corrections. I did--with other companies. Muth won't reimburse me under their supposed "ironclad guarantees." I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Muth denied all responsibility and told the BBB that it never complies with the building code intake ventilation laws. If you have a Muth roof, you might want to check your attic for mold and soffit vents for blockage.

They got 6 critters in 2 weeks. Still 3 remained . We elected to get the remaining ones ourselves.read more

If you want the job complete instead of half done, hire someone else…read more I called Critter Control to remove 2 groundhogs from under my deck. They charged $225 for a consult and set traps. After about a week they caught one of them. Within 2 days they came and took the traps away without speaking to us and before getting the second groundhog. I called the office to ask what was happening and they returned the traps the following week. After a couple more days we walk outside and are shocked to see that they came in and took the traps again. No notification or discussion with us AGAIN. No reasoning as to why they would leave the job yet again unfinished. Another call to Critter Control's office is when I learned that this was all business as usual for them, and if I want to pay another $225 consult fee they'd come back. NO THANKS.
