Their selection is pretty good, and the prices may be a little bit higher, but understood as they're carrying local inventory and costs. I've given them several tries to buy local, and every time I go in the staff seems off putt and doesn't really care that you're even there. The minute I stepped in the store I was made to feel unwelcome by the staff. My wife went in with me and when she asked questions the guy at the register was downright rude. You know, for my being a pretty knowledgeable cigar smoker, this guy was really good at being a butthead and talking down to me. Just because I ask for help finding something or if you carry something doesn't mean I'm a fool, just that it's my first (and last) time in your shop. Also, how am I supposed to know in 2019 that I am to remember and bring you the price on items with a barcode? Places and attitudes like guy are dying out because it discourages new cigar fans. This is the cigar culture I refuse to be a part of, and I'm happy to help and educate any fellow fan if there's something they don't know that I might. I was never someone who wanted to smoke but in 2012 I really am convinced that I am going through a mid life crisis. There are many things that I want to try and have not and have a strong curiosity about them. Ironically enough in 2012 Colorado seemed to have gone through a crisis as well just as my midlife one became identifiable. There were a number of severely damaging wild fires in the state. Fort Collins had its share of fire with the Hewlett Fire earlier in the summer and the very damaging High Park Fire that came later. My curiosity with experimenting with cigars, cigarettes, pipes and hookah did indeed get a bit dimmed when these fires were going on because the streets were lined with smoke and residents were encouraged to stay indoors. Yet my curiosity with experimenting remained. I knew about Edward's for a while since there are a few restaurants I like nearby. I had a heck of a time trying to find pipe tobacco for my new pipe and decided to come here. The selection for pipe tobacco is impressive and tastes good but (Oh wow) what a selection of cigars! Being such a novice with any of this I felt very overwhelmed but extremely impressed on the selection of cigars they had here. They also had a lounge that connected to the store so you could go in and relax. Really a nice set up! The guy that ran the place was nice and eager to assist. I have not been to many smoke shops in town but I was very impressed with Edward's when it comes to pipes and cigars! read more

Edward's is an amazing place to get away from the world. The humidor selection is enough that you can always find something to match your palate. I've been smoking cigars for twenty years, and the staff always surprises me by finding something new that appeals to me. They have a lounge where one can find someone to talk to, or if you want to sit and read, plenty of room for that. They also have a member's only lounge downstairs with pool table, poker table, and a great setup for watching movies/sporting events, etc. The cigar and pipe tobacco selection is fantastic. The staff's knowledge and ability to pair you with something you like is top notch. By far, it is the best cigar lounge to go to in Northern Colorado. read more

I used to like this place but ever since ownership changed hands in early 2018 it sucks. The atmosphere that I used to enjoy is gone and the general feeling of the shop is that it exists strictly to separate you from your cash. The camaraderie of a good shop is gone. Running low on sticks during my trip so I googled and found this spot close by. A small shop with a small humidor and it looked like a big lounge to relax in. So when you go in the humidor (door is left open) you write down the sku # and take you stick to the register. Prices in Colorado are a little higher than I normally pay, taxes I guess. I decided to light one up and it seems a little drier than I get back home, maybe because the door is open. One good thing is I didn't get followed around the humidor. But I would find another place, maybe try Denver. read more

From the Outside, Edwards Pipe and Cigar looks like a Cheesy strip mall where you might go to get your teeth drilled, or pick up a Slurpee. But looks can be deceiving. The inside of Edwards Pipe and Cigar is a Cigar lovers Paradise. There is a humidor big enough to drive a truck through, and a beautiful smoking area that offers the Cigar lover a wonderful place to relax and not be harassed by the anti tobacco militia. They had an extensive library of Old Cigar Aficionado Magazines for sale and a great selection of lighters and cutters. The only bad thing is the 40% tobacco tax that they good people of Colorado saw fit to levy on us Cigar lovers. But to be honest, even with the Steep Sin tax, the prices were pretty competitive with what I pay in Downtown Chicago. I only wish that I had the time to light one up and chit chat with the locals. The shop was wonderful, and I'm sure that I will stop in at least one more time before heading back to reality in Chicago. read more

This place sucks. Apparently they are broke and have to try to charge you just to walk in the door. I'm a member at two cigar shops in Denver where I live and I've never been treated so poorly in the ten years I've been smoking cigars. You have to pay five dollars just to smoke a fifteen dollar cigar in the lounge so now your cigar is twenty bucks. Or, you have to buy fifty dollars worth of cigars to smoke one for free. Also, the cigars here are about a dollar-fifty more than they are at my shop in Denver. I will never buy anything here. read more

I used to be a big fan of this shop until I met the owner. I had been a customer for almost 5 years. He was very rude and his customer service was abysmal. I consider myself an experienced smoker and he treated myself and my friend like some scummy kids (we are in our 30's). Besides all of that, prices are almost double any big city shop or online. Also, he is often out of popular mainstream cigars such as carlos torano's 1959's, assorted acids, and has a piss poor selection of caos. If you are like me and demand respect when buying from any store stay far away!!! Buyer beware!! I'll gladly pay double to be treated with respect, not spat on by some cocky old man. I've smoked cigars for a few years now and I've been to many shops around the country. At every one of those shops, you can buy a cigar and then sit down and smoke it at the shop. For free. That's every one of the shops I've been to but Edward's Pipe & Cigar in Fort Collins. I recently went into Edward's for the first time and bought a $10 Perdomo and fully expected to sit in their lounge for an hour, watch TV and have a stick. But when I paid for the cigar I was told it's an additional $5 to sit in the lounge and smoke. What an absolute rip off. Edward's could earn a lot of biz by allowing customers who buy a stick to smoke it in their lounge free of charge. Instead, they're basically telling me, "Go buy your sticks elsewhere." So, I will. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the prices at Edward's. It's expensive and the selection sucks. But they did offer me a 'Cigar Club' membership for $30/month that would give me a discount on already overpriced boxes of cigars and would allow me to sit in their lounge and smoke at will. Really? $360 per year for a 'Cigar Club' membership? Really lame. I'll never buy at this dump again and I certainly won't recommend it to friends. read more

Great Humidor & selection. I mean nearly every major cigar maker known. Knowledgeable staff -if you have any idea what your tastes are they will help you find a stick to match it. Espresso in the back room that is excellent and an unbelievably cool clientele. Yes there is a lounge fee, but it's reasonable as you have to pay for the brick and mortar. Otherwise I could just buy at CI and sit in my garage....yikes ! Also, if the regulars are around I suspect you will enjoy the conversation. read more
